Congrats! I had Rebel before myself, traded it in for Power Wagon. You absolutely made the right choice if you are into deep exploring and overland style use.
I tucked my tent low behind the cabin, so no noticeable MPG drop. Although MPG was not my primary reason for keeping mounting the tent low, the garage entry clearance was my main concern but it worked out in favor of MPG too.
I hear wrap works well too, seemed too expensive at the time and now it might be just too late. Also was not sur how transparent wrap would work over PW graphics stickers.
@@weekendoutdooradventures That’s Awesome!! I was just looking at the different rack options, Overland, Up Top.. and others.. What do U suggest for Racks???
There's not many overlanding in these, which is a shame, they're arguably the best from the factory platform. Thanks for sharing and getting the word out. How's the bed rack and tent setup been for you? I'm looking for bed rack setup but still undecided.
My current bed rack is custom build, I built it myself from 1x1 tubes and some angle iron as a support on bed edges. I originally had Thule bed rack but I wanted a cover over my bed so that my stuff is not exposed to elements. For a while I was swapping rack+tent for summer and cover for winter. But I did not like my bed and stuff getting dirty after every trip and because I already had a hard cover I build the rack to integrate in it. I did not know there is Diamond Back heavy duty toneau cover at the time I bought mine I would go with that if I new.
Thanks, I absolutely like it, It has been taking me everywhere I wanted to go. Stock side steps are garbage though, will replace those with proper sliders eventually.
@@weekendoutdooradventures I’ve got a practically new set of White Knuckle Off-road sliders languishing in my garage. I ordered them for my ‘19 Power Wagon but they didn’t fit due to a change they made for that model year. They fit ‘14 to ‘18 Power Wagons perfect though. If the border ever opens up and you want a great deal on some great sliders, I’d be happy to meet you around Bellingham, WA or something. I’m in the Seattle/Tacoma area.
Thanks @Paul Baker. I was going to fabricate sliders myself but we can readdress this when cross-border travel resumes to some sort of normalcy, if you still have them at that time and I did not make my own yet.
I just bought one May 1st. Actually went to by a RAM Rebel, which was parked beside the Power Wagon. Bought the Power Wagon instead.

Some of those trails look tight enough to give you custom paint work

Just Ordered a 2022 Power Wagon and I can’t wait to get it in September..😂😩 But until then I’m looking at Rack Options..🤷🏻♂️
Congrats! You will have 8 speed tranny which I kinda miss sometimes, I had 8 speed Rebel before. I built my rack myself from 1X1 steel tubes.

That is October in British Columbia, Harrison Lake.
Looks like it was a great trip. How are you liking your Power Wagon so far?
