Oh me ouch I thought it was bad when you went through the brush, this is trees. It take me about three days to get through there I’d have to get out and cut everything back.
Thanks. Yes RAM is my personal preference , I just feel like I fit in it's seats best and everything seems very convenient and ergonomic for me. Power Wagon was my choice because it comes ready for adventure right off the dealership, and up until very recently was the only fully equipped factory built HD off-road truck out there.
I just ordered a 2022 Power Wagon in June, I got the Olive Green color and I can’t wait!!, but unfortunately I won’t get it till August or September maybe even early October 😭🤬 But I Like your set up and the area you’re at where is this trail??? And what type of bed rails do U have???👍🏻
Congrats! The trail is in Harrison lake area in BC, Canada. The bed rack I built myself from 1x1 steel tubes, I welded two 1x1 together to form 1x2 profile. There is also subframe under hard top bed cover supporting the rack.
Thanks! At this time set up is still very much work in progress, the biggest build so far is bed rack integrated with hard cover. I will do a set up video once I do a bit more work on it. Thanks for the idea though.
I have Tepui Kukenam 3. Had it for four years or so. One of the flaws I fixed was the ladder is not firmly secured in folded position and it started to rub through the tent flor panel from all the off-road shaking. So I installed a couple brackets and am putting a couple bolts through the bottom ends of the ladder to secure it in folded position. Other than that I am quite happy with it. Also, although it is 3 person tent I feel best when I am alone in it. Two can still sleep ok but three is way too tight.
@@weekendoutdooradventures Thanks for the info! I like what you got going here. I have a 2019 Power Wagon and have been looking to do something very similar. Maybe an outland teardrop?
Great content, Looking at a PW as well for the family truckster. Can you give me your opinion if the PW has decent power passing on 2 lane roads safely? I do a lot of 2 way highway driving going up and down grades. Would love your honest feedback! Your videos are great giving me a feel for the capability of the PW as an overlanding rig. Any plans to replace tires with larger ones 35s? or even 37s?
Thanks. Well PW is not exactly a racing car, it is a heavy duty truck after all so it does not compete with any lighter ones in terms of acceleration. That said, I have never had an issue passing traffic, it does have 410 HP which is plenty to pass normal traffic flow. Newer models have 8 speed transmission which I am sure is even better, I had 8 speed for my 1500 Rebel and Longhorn before and to be hones I kinda miss that bit. I got this one right before 2019 model came out, so I have the old 6 speed transmission. I am happy with stock tires for now and will keep them until I wear them out a bit more before going bigger. So far I have gotten everywhere I wanted to go with these tires so I do not feel a pressing need to swap still relatively new tires just to look cool in a shopping mall lot. Also bigger tires is more substantial investment than just tires themselves if you want to do it right. There are not a whole lot options that fit on these wheels and 37'' definitely require re-gearing for 6 speed tranny to keep crawl ratio, and also some hefty suspension mods to keep full articulation off road..
Good campin

This is "lightweight" trees, have been in much denser a couple times. Not sure I want to do it again for the camera, but will see, lol.
Really nice video. Will be interested in your continuing comments on the Power Wagon. It would appear you favor Ram trucks. Nice rig.

Cool camp. What tent do you have. I've been looking for something like that. Any regrets on the tent or things you would do differently?

Nice Video and by the way, what air compressor were you using to air up at the end?
Thanks. I am using Viair 400P,, works good for me.
