Sharad Hett vs (Dark Times) A’Sharad Hett would make for an interesting matchup
to me what I give star wars original timeline credit is making ’Sharad Hett a counterpart to Anakin both grew up on the same planet both fought in the clone wars both lost someone they loved both ended up going to the darkside but in the end Anakin was able to come back to the light well Hett became the new lord of the sith and set up his own order much like Luke did when he brought back the jedi and made sure not to make the same mistake and set up his own sets of rules
The only thing connecting me to Star Wars these days, please keep these vids coming Evan, its all some of us have after Disney ruined everything.

25:34 Actually after his return from the grave in legacy A'Sharad only uses his own Lightsaber and the other is still a Yorik coral One Sith style saber. So he actually keeps the promise to his father to never use his lightsaber in anger. I think it's a really nice detail.
I may not always agree with their Versus veredicts, but I appreciate Evan and Jensaarai for still keeping the flame of the old EU intact.

I don’t know which Vader to use personally, either pre-suit to represent the prequel’s or post-suit to represent all of Sidious’s apprentice.

All these individuals were trained by Count Dooku and I’ve debated with myself if I should include Savage Opress in the team as well?

C. Seen some versus about Qui-Gon Jinn vs Grievous where it’s said Grievous wins but I don’t know how true that is? Adding Ventress & Vosa with this in mind I would definitely see Grievous losing hard.
As you said about Dooku fighting his students, it’s an better idea than mine own, now understanding Grievous weakness and adding Qui-Gon Jinn, would this duo be enough to beat Dooku and if not which one should join Jinn and Grievous team?
I’m unsure between Vosa as Dooku trained her as a Jedi while Dooku trained Asajj Ventress as a Sith as 1V4 feels too much for Dooku to handle, I’m of the opinion that it should be Komari Vosa as sense she was trained by Dooku when he was a Jedi she be trained by him most definitely as with Ventress, I’ve haven’t seen or heard anything about Dooku training Asajj unlike with Qui-Gon & Grievous.
D. Thanks, Team Vs Team battle is definitely one of EvanNova most unique versus battles so trying to find 1V3 battles where the 1 still has a good chance of winning and making it a debate is really interesting to me.
Also I’m trying to re-create the Duel Of the fate matchup 2V1 or the Battle of Hypori if the Jedi group had more of a chance of winning.
1) I’m familiar with Darth Bane and Lord Hoth but not Kas’im and Raskta Lsu, love to see that fight to know more about the other two.
2) Grandmasters Luke Skywalker is OP to the point of debating GM!Luke against other characters from *different universe*! That’s how overpowering he is, so I’ve thought about it and I don’t know what you think about this but I see

Grievous, he’s no stranger to group fight as he bested Ki-Adi Mundi with help from 4/6 other Jedi’s as explained in this very video Ki-Adi was one of the best duellist.
TPM!Sidious or Darth Plagueis? Don’t have much reason really besides Sidious is weaker at this point in time but I don’t know by how much and Plagueis since I “think” he “could” beat them but I don’t know how much powerful he is in comparison to other Sidious in other points in the timeline.
There’s also Dooku as he fought against multiple opponents before and would “probably” give the other Jedi Masters a good fight as Dooku fought decently against Yoda.

Yeah it was a nice video definitely using character that are unfamiliar to most (including myself). I think in these you could also try and tell more of their story.
I feel like Revan vs Kyle Katarn would be a good match. They use both the light and dark sides of the force and they are both video game characters.

A comment on The Jedi Path. Most of us know that Count Dooku was Yoda's Padawan, right? But According to Page 1 (Where Luke Skywalker gives his intro to the book), he was supposedly apprenticed to a Jedi named Thame Cerulian, instead. Did Dooku have several masters, like Luke did with Obi-Wan, and then Yoda; or is there some inconsistency here that needs to be addressed?
Also, in that same opening page, Luke explicitly uses "BBY" to reference how old The Jedi Path was (1000 BBY, with his particular copy dating to around 115 BBY). I heard elsewhere that "BBY", and "ABY" are terms used out-of-universe in the fandom for a point-of-reference; but here, it seems to be an in-universe term, too. Does The Star Wars Galaxy also use The Battle of Yavin as an epoch, like we do; or did the real-life authors just make a mistake when trying to sound "In-Universe" with their writings, and accidentally broke-the-fourth-wall (Somewhat) by including an out-of-universe term like "BBY"?
For the first part, I see that as a martial artist having more than one master considering many youngling learned under Yoda, then as padawans have a singular master.
For the second part,idk, it could be in universe since it was a major moment for the rebellion but different planets have different times possibly so it makes it difficult to follow time so for the reader they use BBY and ABY.

Do you have a timetable of when you might use Revan or Luke again? They were after all the first characters you used in a Star Wars Versus Video after all.
The problem with Luke is one has to pitch a weaker version of him for a matchup, like Dark Empire or Jedi Academy Luke, as Grandmaster Luke is too much for most people.
With Revan, there's the problem of some conflicting sources, like his namesake novel, and yet again, multiple iterations of the character, some even unseen like Darth Revan before the amnesia.

Ok. Realizing now how much Aurra was in I feel she's a cameo character. She has legitimate backstory and features fairly often in the mythos. But she's only a shown in a single shot in one movie. So it's like Quinlan for me. But with her I think it's fun that's she's a forever menace in legends. She always has something to do and I'm proud for her in that respect. She's not lazy. She's brash but that's not to say she's stunted. She's unbalanced not untalented. That's why she's a good character to me. That and her abandonment by her master really hits home for me. A parental figure that while wanting the best for her kids, often intentions aren't enough. And the parent can't recognize that and so they just abandon their Padawan.

@Wes Bradley-Taubner A super brief fight with Ventress and getting beaten by Grievous even while having a backup? Hardly anything beyond Qui-Gon's capabilities.
@Wes Bradley-Taubner A good feat to be sure. I'm still waiting for an explanation why it's something beyond Qui-Gon's capabilities.
He also had Shaak-Ti, a fellow Council member, as a backup, as well as three other Jedi Knights, for the entirety of the fight we've actually seen. And he still ended up disarmed. Funnily enough, Mundi himself didn't seem to consider their exhaustion to be as much of a factor as you do.
You also forgot to mention that Maul had the advantage of thoroughly learning Theed's layout before the fight and that he blunted Qui-Gon's use of the Force according to Palpatine.
So no, not at all "much better" than Qui-Gon's fight with Maul.

How about a how powerful is Luke Skywalker instead of putting him into a vs. match he inevitably wins? Although I feel like in these videos they always show the power but never the tactics nor the character of Luke Skywalker.
Another idea would be like a what if Luke Skywalker fell to the dark side on return of the Jedi. I think it could be an interesting.
My prediction would be that Luke would be under Darth Sidious but he would not like being under him. He would always be trying to resist or look for a way out. This could lead to like alternate teachers like Lumiya, Jeric, Krayt, or even Exar Kun and sorza sin. He would be most probably a Juyo jarki specialist with powerful force lightning and knowledge in sith sorcery and alchemy. Possibly even learning force destruction and deadly sight.Practically getting into an arms race with Sidious trying to get his freedom. If classic grandmaster Luke and this dark Luke got into a fight I think classic Luke would win. He would be worse at lightsaber combat never really innovating it. He would potentially be more powerful in the force but it would be essential a hammer against a shield and he would tire out before breaking the Grandmaster.

I think it’s safe to say, the usage of “Jedi Knight” when referring to members of the order is rather general. Why? Well, in ROTS, Palpatine refers to both Anakin & Obi Wan as “Jedi Knights” when speaking briefly to Mace Windu. Now, anyone who knows, knows. Obi Wan at the time was both a master & member of the council. Just an example for the idea that being referred to as a Jedi Knight simply means you’re a recognized & fully fledged member. But, of course, it’s not uncommon for mistakes to be made regardless. It’s really at this point just a matter of how you look at it.

In regards to the inconsistency regarding his rank as a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master, I would liken him to Attack of the Clones Obi-Wan Kenobi, with his official rank being Jedi Knight but he bears the title of Jedi Master because up until his death, A’Sharad is his Padawan, even if it was informal and not officiated by the Jedi Council. Ki-Adi Mundi never trained a Padawan until he took on A’Sharad as his student, and as such he would never have the title of Jedi Master. But since he was already on the council, I believe him taking on A’Sharad as a Padawan allowed Mundi to simultaneously gain the rank and title of Jedi Master.
Speaking of Obi-Wan, in legends was he promoted to the rank Jedi Master when he was appointed to the council despite Anakin still being a Padawan at the time?
In short, Sharad Hett was both a Jedi Knight and Jedi Master. His feats and accolades alone are more than sufficient for him to officially bear the rank of Jedi Master and perhaps he would have had he not departed the Order. I’d go so far as to say that he may have even been sitting on the Council itself by the time of the phantom menace.

*sighs* Wookieepedia still cites Hett as departing the Jedi Order in 47 BBY, despite Hett blatantly saying in the comic that he left nearly 18 years before the events of Outlander in 32 BBY. Meaning Sharad departed the Order sometime in either 50 or 49 BBY, giving him 2-3 years to wander the galaxy, crash land on Tatooine, wander the deserts for sometime, join and rise through the ranks of a Tusken tribe and even father A’Sharad who was born in 47 BBY (as he is 15 in the Outlander comic). This is all a lot more plausible over 2 or 3 years than the single year (47 BBY) that wookieepedia would have you believe

@@auditect950 you’re right my apologies, no idea where I got the 18 years from. Could have sworn I read it when I read Outlander last year but I’ve just checked and it says 15 years (once by Ki-Adi Mundi in the first issue and later when Sharad tells Ki-Adi that A’Sharad was born 15 cycles ago).
Still seems a lot of events in a single year (considering human pregnancies last around 9 months) and Sharad himself says he had been wandering the desert for months before the Tuskens even found him, then he had to prove himself worthy of joining them.

C) He'd bashed his head on the ground.
All that before he even faced Sing.
Aurra Sing is overrated as a fighter. She typically has to 'soften up' her targets before facing them directly.

ehhh. it was a battlefield engagement so cant stress it to much? but Aura Sing still won it decisively. Sora Bolq took out Rancissis by being a better battlefield general of sorts, so to did Aura.
Low tier COuncil master of the pre Clone wars era is probabbly put it best. Under Quigon type. One of the Best of the order but not in the top 10.
How powerful is Chad Everett?
In the old classic EU Eeth Koth died at the battle of Geonosis therefore no fight with General Grievous or Vader, which means he has no combat feats.
I'm also going to discount Ki Adi's fight with Ventress since its part of the new canon.
There is a comic that depicts Mundi looking at a battle map and being shot in the back, which is far more reasonable, one of the things the EU does well is explain away some of the nonsensical aspects of the movies.
I also have to disagree with the power scaling to some extent.
I agree that Sharad Hett was a Niman practitioner, therefore he was weak against Makashi practitioners which Ki Adi Mundi and Aurra Sing were.
Its not necessarily that Mundi scales higher he just has a fighting style advantage as well as Ataru and Soresu.
In TCW Aurra Sing isn't even a force user she's a common bounty hunter.
Evan has also argued before that since Bulq survived the crash then Eeth Koth would too, despite innate pain tolerance and even a force power to enhance it, Weequay are more durable than Zabrak.

@Wes Bradley-Taubner That is true. I was more so thinking of the Planet draining feats from Nihilus and Vitiate and the black hole manipulations from Kyp and Luke and in that I forgot about Sadow’s feats although in my eyes universal + is still a bit of a stretch though not impossible

His grandfather and uncle both completely outclassed him, along with Yoda, Mace, Dooku, & Sidious; Bane & his master Kas’im; Tulak Hord; Exar Kun; Kenobi; Darth Maul; The Outlander/Hero of Tython; Cin Drallig; Grievous; Plo Koon; Sora Bulq; Depa Bilaba; Raskta Lsu; Meetra Surik; Anoon Bondara; Kyle Katarn, etc… I mean there’s literally a large number of true swordmasters and apex level combatants definitely higher on the scale than Jacen/Caedus. You don’t need to defend your favorite character(s) every time they’re even brought up. The NJO blatant worship just gets so old.. I like your videos because you have crazily in-depth analysis but damn it’s hard to get past that a lot of the time.
