  • It was our first Time in a Mangrove at Pranburi Forest Park, Thailand. We saw all kinds of colorful crab species as we hiked through the amazing Forest for FREE! We also had some motor Ike trouble and explored an abandoned resort on the beach. We're a couple traveling Southeast Asia with just our backpacks and this is just one of many amazing budget adventures. We hope you will subscribe to see more.

    I see so many videos of influencers going to other countries and do not represent Americans very well. I appreciate how kind and respectful you are to everyone you meet.

      Thank you. We are always aware that we are guests and to be open-minded of different cultures. It's been one of the best parts of traveling is being open to everything and everyone.

    At minute 13:33, the crab is wearing blue glasses and looks very cool, along with a pair of red muscles that look like they're standing for you to take a video of.
    And the mangrove forests looked so magical. 😊

    We have fireflies here and they are out. They look like little fairies flying around in the fields.

    I've seen fireflies at Amphawa. Samut Songkhram Province. It glows all over the tree until it's bright. It looks fake, but it's real. The tour guide said there are 4 species in total, including freshwater species and brackish water species together. and often sticks to the Lamphun tree😊🐝🐝

    YOu two are so brave to go inside abandoned buildings. I loved the mangro forrest the ones you saw at the first of the video were different from the last ones. I remember the mangos on Eleuthera, and they just sucked the breeze from the ocean right away, and were too hot for me to explore very much, and too many mosquitos were in there with nats. I really enjoyed the different looking crabs, we only had orange ones on Eleuthera Island. and once a year they would migrate to one side or the other of the island it was amazing to see them in masses like that. YOur videos are so well done. love watching them, sorry the bike went dead on you. but was heartened to see the strangers get it going again.

      I bet Eleuthera was absolutely beautiful. Can understand that heat intensity though. You sure are an interesting lady, Maxine!

    That was so pretty there. I liked you were hiking at the level of the tree roots and then next thing you know your up much higher and can see the mountains in the distant. What an amazing place. Magical! Good job capturing all the creatures, too! Some of our trails in Wisconsin here we make trails around the trees also. It is happy to see that, I agree. Have a wonderful week, you two! 😊

    Amphawa Floating Market is located in Amphawa Subdistrict. Samut Songkhram Province This market is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only.
    There is also a boat ride to watch fireflies at night. You can buy tickets for the boat ride at the market pier. The price is 60 baht per person. The boat ride time is about 1 hour. Whether you can see fireflies or not depends on the time of day. Many fireflies are mostly found during the rainy season. May - October

      There is nothing like the PNW, but Thailand does have some incredible beaches. The water was almost too warm though.

    Mangroves are such cool places. Honestly that tower looks a little safer than that fire tower you guys climbed (that one scared me) .Did you guys give the crabs your phone number ? they can call you on their shell phones ... WAKKA WAKKA ... HAHA I love the jump start I actually had to give a jump start to some tourist while on my western trip they left the lights on, on their rental car. Love the graffiti too "Free Smiles" thats what I get when I watch you guys. Awesome video you guys , Im catching up on them but watching in reverse LOL

      Good job being a good Samaritan. What goes around comes around eventually. We believe that through and through. Thanks for watching. I know it's tough to keep up with everyone while traveling.

    I’ve seen mangroves in Florida before, but that place looked so peaceful. You definitely find the best places. Was it hard staying to the left side of the road?

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The driving on the "wrong" side of the road was quite the mental challenge. Just glad we didn't have to also drive a right hand drive vehicle that might also have a manual transmission. I think springs would have knocked loose in my brain trying to coordinate it all.
      We hope to see the Florida mangroves someday too.

    That really was so much fun! The mangroves were so relaxing! Somewhere life just isn't in a hurry and so silent there! Just totally Zen! It was just what I needed to calm me down! And those rock formations were awesome! My goodness! The awesome sheer 1000 foot high cliff! And the awesome different types of rocks in it and the different colors that make it up were amazing! I couldn't imagine if a huge section of that sandstone just fell off!?! Too terrifying to think of! But what gorgeous areas, where nature shaped what it wanted it to be! And the abandoned areas were amazing! Why those cool buildings with those awesome views were just left abandoned is a puzzle for sure! The views and the whole area was amazing, who wouldn't want to live there? Thailand is the jewel on the top of the crown for sure! Everywhere is just so beautiful! And the prices! Wow! As good as, if not better than, Vietnam's! Yay! Thank you! For making me fall in love with Asia! What a phenomenal continent! Thanks Charlie and Liz❣️

      "Falling in love with Asia" that should have been the name of this whole series. That is exactly what happened. Every day we encountered new reasons to love it. So cool we got to help you fall in love with it too. You should be so proud of your ancestry.

    The Mangrove was an awesome place! The "wind talk" was so peaceful & catching some of the little crabs McMunching was so cute! I'm thinking the leaves must have something only they know is good to eat. Seem like really nice people there to lend a hand to the stranded too. Those houses must have been very cool before they were abandoned, I always wonder why? Another fun adventure!

    (OMG, that crab had a POPEYE ARM! 😂)
    P.S. I would have been down on the floor loving on those doggies! It is just so amazing to see such a different world. -heh, heh, still watching…

    Old abandoned buildings from the Asian financial crisis in the 1990s? Or was it the tsunami?

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      We've heard a few stories. One is investor scams where people get loans to build, start the process and then take off with the cash.

    • @chadjiansinlapadamrong768
      @chadjiansinlapadamrong768 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Definitely not the tsunami. We have never had a tsunami on that side, the gulf of Thailand side of the peninsula.

    • @user-bs4vb8vh6m
      @user-bs4vb8vh6m 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Tsunami has no chance of occurring in the Gulf of Thailand. Or even the Indian Ocean where tsunamis occur once in a while. It was washed because it might not be convenient to live in. But the land has an owner.
