- We got a flat tire on our rental bike in Sam Roi Yot, Thailand, and it nearly ruined our day. We tried to make the best of it and ended up catching an amazing lightning show above the Gulf of Thailand. We enjoyed some local cuisine and explored the neighborhood too. please enjoy this adventure with us budget travelers looking to see the hidden treasures of Southeast Asia with only our backpacks and few plans.

Maybe that is what we were noticing was the head being eaten and not the shell. Is there lots of flavor in the head or is it to not be wasteful?

Yeah we don't recommend any of the rental places in town there. Good thing you can just drive your own wheels there from your place.
Waited a long time for you guys to post a clip, sit and watch your clips every day. Hope you are happy, eat well and sleep. If you want Thai people to help you, please tell them. 99.9 % Thai people have good hearts. But there are some bad people, just like people in every country. If they don't understand how to communicate, they use it. Google translate to talk to them. May you be safe on every journey 🙏🏻🇹🇭💕

There's probably a lot of information on Google and various reviews on TH-cam, so believe me, food is the goal of people who come to Thailand.😊
The day was so not ruined by your bike misshap! That was an amazing thunder and lightning show and the lunch/dinner looked delicious! What amazing geckos! Tokay geckos! They are the green with orangy brown spots that stick to walls! They will keep your room bug free for you! Wow! Thailand is so beautiful! And everywhere you go, thr people are so friendly! This is really living the dream! Thank you for taking us along! Its so beautiful! ❤

The Blue Beach Resort looks amazing. It reminds me of the old beach motels on the Florida Beaches many years ago. They weren’t super fancy, but the location and ambiance of the area made them perfect. Not many are left now. They’ve been replaced with high rise condos and resorts. It’s nice that you can experience places like that in Thailand. I want to go there!
Put this place on your travel list. The town has that old resort vibe and just enough visitors to keep a few restaurants open. It was end of April I think, that we were in Sam Roi Yot. It was perfect.

That would be my kind of hotel stay. Peaceful with tropical forest with birds, etc. Nice little patio area with AC. The perfect place.

Oh it was one of the best Thailand dishes. Tom Yum is the name, but there's so many variations.
Water monitor! 🦎 That was cool looking. All the interesting birds. I loved the hotel at the resort. Definitely someplace I would choose to stay. Most excellent, it wasn't too touristy. Very pretty area. What a bummer about the bike and having to push it a mile. Reminds me of my trip out to Oregon and Washington. Getting a rental only to find out it had a slow leak when we were too far from anywhere getting it repaired. Spent the next day waiting to get it fixed. Thanks for taking us along 😊 Bye now

Yeah that Blue Beach Resort in Sam Roi Yot had got us dreaming about going back. Simple, cheap and relaxing. It was a nice stop in all our hustle.

The lightening was amazing like fire in the sky. Unfortunately those mishaps happen where the customer has to pay for the repairs and upkeep of what they're renting. Did the tire repair cost about $5? Thailand is tireland for it grows the latex to cook up tires exported around the world. One of it's big industries besides tourism. Their food in mostly wonderful small business excellent quality. A very healthy place to be with good vibe. It's an excellent expat retiree destination. Probably best in the world.
Yeah the tire was so cheap we couldn't believe it. It is a great retirement spot for so many reasons. It's a great country indeed.
You eat food near the sea area. It's quite expensive. If you eat in the suburbs of Bangkok, the price is only around 40-50 baht. In some provinces, the price of food is only 1 dollar or 30 baht.
We did notice so.e big price ranges from area to area. Compared to America they were all worth it, but we try to be frugal.

When you have a problem in Thailand, you can ask Thai people everywhere. Even though some people may not understand each other, point to the root cause of the problem. Every Thai person everywhere will be happy to help you.

I know your trying to conserve money and please don't take this personal you guys are my favorite channel but you should maybe each drive your own scooters for safety and so you wouldn't have to pay for any damages done to the bike being pushed to it's extreme limits. Keep up the good work.

Thai people also don't eat shrimp shells. But they will eat the head of the shrimp, but some people won't eat the head of the shrimp as well. 😊🦐🦞
