I just used the same nuts as the stock carb. I put new ones on but the are the same nuts that hold the stock carb on. Then just use your head bolts to install your intake manifold.
It's just a better overall carb! It's meant for this bike. The a/f /idle screw is easier to set. It's not in a weird position where you have to burn your hand/buy a special tool/guess if it's perfect at idle. Plenty of burnt knuckles trying to get it just right.
