I started using Cerave Healing Ointment on my lips and eyes after your recommendation on a previous video. I love it! I have the UVmune 400 coming and can't wait to give that a try as well. Thank you so much for all your great recommendations and advice. It can be very hard for the average person to wade through all the information out there on what is actually good versus a waste of time/money.

@@LorenaDiaz97 I purchased mine through the Care to Beauty site. The shipping was reasonable to the US, but still waiting for my order as I chose the slower method of shipping. In the meantime, I'm using my Sun Bum tinted mineral sunscreen (another Dr. Dray rec).

I picked up the Cerave healing ointment on my USA trip. I’ve been applying to eyes overnight and now I don’t wake up with dry skin under eyes and last night put on whole face. Wow I’m in love. I leave for a work trip again June 10 so I will be applying it on plane. Great idea! Thank you so much

@@laurieswanson1595 CeraVe also makes a healing ointment for babies which is the one I use. I like Aquaphor's too but unlike CeraVe, it contains lanolin alcohol so if you're allergic, you may want to avoid it. Cetaphil also has a new healing ointment now that Dr. Dray has talked about in several videos. She seems to like it quite a bit. :)

Perricone worked wonderfully on my skin. I tried Paula's Choice Vit C and it irritaed my skin badly leaving it red and swollen face for days. I tried a few times after taking some break and each time it did the same. After that I was hesitant trying any Vit c on my face until I found Perricone MD in Costco. I was surprised how well it worked on my skin. I think these cosmetics can work differently for each person.

Hi Dr. Dray. I do use the Perricone Intensive Moisture lotion and LOVE IT! I’m 57 with no wrinkles but oily skin and have found it to work so well for me. There is a definite plumping sensation (which helps to minimize the look of pores) , seems to regulate oil production and is just hydrating enough for my skin. It leaves a very smooth finish . I definitely wait for their sales and it’s so worth it. I’ve been excited to try the serum but am hoping for a good discount on it! Also, thank you for what you do! You help so many people and it’s such a blessing. 🙏🏼❤️ I wish I could have a consultation with you: I’ve been quite I’ll for the last two years and suddenly my skin is freaking out. I just don’t have the mental, physical or financial capacity to seek out yet another doctor but am pretty distraught. Cape Cod isn’t exactly a stone’s throw from Texas! Thanks again and keep up your amazing work! ☺️

I bought the UVmune Fluid and have tried the Shaka in the past. I would say UVmune actually feels more runny/thinner compared to shaka and dries quickly; however, something I still notice with UVmune that I noticed with Shaka is that, sometimes, my face will look orange and darker (almost tan like) at the end of the day. I'm not sure if the cause is due to the filters/formulation or something else, but its just something I notice when I compare my face to other parts of my body like the neck. I am more of a Fitzpatrick type 2/3. Would love to know if anyone else has noticed this as well.

    • @andykhouri3094

Could be placebo but I've noticed a similar effect. I think with so many potent chemical filters it may be a little irritating/causing inflammation, especially with reapplication. Definitely not a tan since LRP is top tier in terms of sun protection and the fluid specifically has one of the highest PPD of any sunscreen (46). I'm curious about the cream but the fluid doesn't break me out so I'm scared to try something else haha

Dr. Dray~ in terms of using the CeraVe healing ointment for slugging, would one need to put a lotion or moisturizer underneath and then apply the CeraVe on top???! You didn’t mention putting anything underneath in this video but I thought that was the point! TIA. Xoxo❣️👍☺️

Dr Dray, I'm sure you're a fan of studio Ghibli/Miyazaki? His next film is apparently based on a childhood favourite book, called How Do You Live? available on Amazon. I've just started reading it and so far its lovely, maybe worth checking out x

I received a sample of the Perricone MD Cold Plasma + D neck Cream. I really liked it, but after the 2nd night of applying; my neck started itching really bad. Became red and irritated. It’s potent. But a great product but not for me.

I liked the formula of the maybelline lifter gloss, the shine and all.. but i dislike the strong flavor it has. It's not that it tastes bad but it's just so strong! I've been using the elf lip lacquer instead, not as a shiny, but the flavor is much more subtle. I just don't want to taste or smell my cosmetics throughout the day, you know?

I’ve noticed as much as love the formula of the lifter gloss, so smoothing & super glossy but they seem to change quickly in terms of scent over time, mine are under 6 months old & they smell horrendous, like bad.
      Kind of disappointing.

The most hydrating lip product I have tried is by MKE. It is pricy, but it has a lot of product. It is really plushy on application. I layer it under on things, and I notice that my lips stay moist much longer even as it is wearing off.

Hey doc, I hears your mention of the ph. I do know some, Kelly Driscoll for one, has those ph strips to check cleanser ph. Maybe those would be useful for you too. a baseline for the product would help others to decide. Especially those with damaged skin barriers already. 🙂

is the La Roche Posay UVMune 400 good for people who are normally sensitive to chemical sunscreen? I'd love to try it because I"m prone to hyperpigmentation and most chemical sunscreens are irritating for me.
