- Deathstroke is one of the most skilled humans and fighters and the greatest mercenary in the DC universe. Just like Batman he can take on any street level characters to superpowered beings. Although, often the controversy comes from who his nemesis is; Batman, Nightwing or the Titans.

Hot Take, Deathstroke should be a mentor to Jason after UTRH. He can save him from the explosion site, and teach him a couple things on fighting heroes and villains. I could see the dynamic between the serious mission focussed Slade, and the more witty message oriented Jason. This could develop into a semi father son dynamic as Slade lost his son, much like how Jason lost his Father [The first one and Bruce].
Me personally he’s a everybody villain… I have every comic book that Deathstroke appears in soo I can go into more but I hate this debate
I hate it to. I really don't understand why it's a debate or argument in the first place. I find it very "convenient" people only started getting up in arms about it when Ben Affleck was working on his film with Deathstroke involved.
12:06 Really Unpopular Opinion: Deathstroke preying on Terra should be kept in, it makes sense that a Titans villain would be a s*xual predator and it could be an interesting discussion of how superficially cool villains could be even more monstrous. Also it's weird and kinda disturbing, how so many comics kept him as an anti-hero after the Judas Contract storyline. We know what he did to Terra, it doesn't matter that she's a sociopath, it doesn't matter what the age of consent in certain European countries is, he delibrately groomed a child. (Also plenty of countries have a lower age of consent than the US, that's not an excuse). Plus you can't tell me that a globe-trotting assassin like Slade wouldn't know other countries laws.
Deathstoke as the main villain of a movie needs to be like the orignal predator movie, with him taking down a powerful/ elite group of heroes 1 by one

it would be dope for him to be a secondary antagonist where he is hired to kill a villain batman is after, Slade and the bats can fight each other to a draw
and maybe Slade even gets the kill on the villain before Batman brings that villain to justice

Saying Deathstroke is a Teen Titans villain is like saying that Punisher is a Spider-Man villain. Like, yeah technically. But that's not how these characters work. They can become bigger than their first appearance very quickly.
Deathstroke is more of a DC villain. If it had to be more singular then yeah he would be a Teen Titans villain
Can we get an unpopular opinion on a few assassins at the same time Shiva, Richard Dragon, Jason Todd, Davin Cain, etc.
a hot take I have, i think Jason to a degree is has a better skill-set than Bruce. They claim Bruce has mastered every capable martial art in the world (DC arts included), but that title technically goes to Jason. Bruce never trained with the Al Caste, and Jason has more experience fighting Amazonians to pick up on their cultural fighting style that Bruce has never mastered up-close.
I’d say that Bruce has done the same thing but inverse. he actively trains with Diana so he understands the Amazonians. And he has been fighting Ra’s and, fighting with/against Talia and, trains with Damian so he may have a really good idea of the al ghoul style.

Now about the topic "Deathstroke is a villain of Batman/Teen Titans/Nightwing etc." i think that the argument about him being a Batman villain rose with the Batman Arkham Origins game because i never heard of it before.
I'll say Deathstroke is one of those very few villains in comics that are able to be used by multiple heroes (like MODOK or Darkseid) BUT he is first and foremost a Titans/Nightwing's villain.
Deathstroke's best storylines are with that group and against Nightwing while for any other character (Batman included) he never had any particular story to tie him up to this other character, he is simply paid to do a job and that's it.
As for the antihero bit i disagree, he is a villain, just because sometimes he may be forced to do a collaboration with a superhero doesn't mean that he's a good guy.
Batman and Joker collaborated multiple times in the comics (because Joker had to clear his name or Batman ned his help) that doesn't mean that Joker is an antihero.
Deathstroke literally had no problem using a girl as a mole in the Teen Titans in order to destroy them as a group using mental manipulation to mantain her as his lackey...no freaking way this guy can be a hero or even an antihero.
For your hot take i'll say that feels like a forced way to make Deathstroke even more of a Nightwing villain, i appreciate the intent but i feel it unnecessary and nowadays the "evil relative" trope feels particularly overplayed

He's a villain for everyone. Maybe I would equate him to being like Kingpin in that he's both a spiderman and daredevil villain.
Deathstroke's best days and origin were under Wolfman's pen. He is a contract assassin

I absolutely agree that the stroke, and Batman are nearly perfectly matched in terms of skill. However, there’s one thing you have to remember:
Deathstroke is giving it his all to kill Batman but Batman is always holding himself back so that he doesn’t kill someone.
Shows how dominant Batman is.
I really don’t like some of the more iffy stuff with Deathstroke and Terra. Yes he’s a villain but that’s not something a villain would do that’s something a monster would do. That part of his character should just be abandoned. Like the guys a father he’s not like Mad Hatter. I just don’t like that part of the character at all even though it’s essential to The Judas Contract storyline.
I love deathstroke. Ex Maj/lt. Col. Depending on what you're reading. Best assassin and mercenary ( Don't tell deadshot). I believe he fits into most story arcs as he is a cash for blood guy.
