The great thing about Medicare is that we are trying to save them money, not sell them something. It's a totally different dynamic when you cold call and most people are taken back when you are trying to save a senior citizen $40-$60 per month when they are struggling with their Social Security income. The first reaction when people hear that is usually they say they already have coverage followed by they think that coverage that costs less is inferior. Sure 75% of seniors have Medicare Advantage plans nowadays, but when you find someone with a supplement it really turns into explaining that all Medicare supplements are standardized by the government and provide the same level of coverage. With seniors turning 65, the first objection is usually that they already have an agent, but when you press the issue many haven't signed up for a plan yet or if they did they met with a captive agent and picked a bad plan. I also work the angle that if people signed up on their own that an agent's services are completely free and that they get an extra level of support with customer service and annual policy reviews of the market if they sign up with me. Then you have the issue of seniors being healthy enough to switch carriers, but you always have Medicare Advantage plans during October 15 to December 7 as a backup plan if they can't pass underwriting. Once you get enough clients, you will start to get referrals and find that 30% of your clients will market for you for free. You just need to get past the first year or two and things start to get much easier after that.
Being licensed for both life and health I'm just saying you can save people money by selling them a cheaper policy. I've helped people save over $200 a month and got them over $12,000 back. Just have to know what you're doing and actually try helping people. I also help people save money on their Medicare every month.
I'm not interested and I already have it are the biggest objections I get in P&C and a lot of the time these people are missing out. My biggest goal is to get these people to listen and understand that its worth it getting a free quote!!

if they "filled" out something why would they say "im not interested " i want in to this business but i dont want to be apart of lying to people so heres the question: are these people really filling something out or if they touch the screen it's automatically programmed to send there number as having filled something out? Is there a way to do this without feeling sleezy? i believe funeral insurance is valuable and i feel people should want it, but it also seems only low income people are interested because high income people already took care of business when they were young what say you sir thank you in advance
Often times the "I'm not interested" objection, really just means they want to be sold on it a bit more. Just because people show interest does not mean they are ready to buy right away. It's our job as agents to give them the correct information, build a relationship with them, and let them make the decision they feel is best for them and their family. All of the leads we provide agents are 100% filled out by the person.
Cody Cody I love you man but I have to scold you. Don't make vids while driving! It is VERY irresponsible for a licensed insurance agent to do this. It takes less than 10min and you can stop somewhere when you post. No State that I know of approved any insurance coverage. It is State regulated,yes. You are by far the best insurance trainer on TH-cam period. I have watched them all. Most of them sound like they need professional training.
