Glad to see someone sharing custom build steps. Too many shops guard these "secrets" as if watching a Bruce Lee movie means you know Kung Fu.

Thank God we got somebody sharing knowledge with us; the last time I asked a question about how to put one of these cars together, the man told me it was a secret.
That was back in the 1980s; if you ask me I believe all knowledge should be shared with the public how to build these cars,,, thank you brother for sharing your knowledge with us🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿✌🏿

That was some of the fun back then , you had to figure it out yourself.
When you did figure it out yourself , you also knew it inside and out.

@@MrTheHillfolk it was fun back then, I remember going to shows and talking to people for hours on how to make stuff work. It's crazy but some of the guys I used to hang out with back then were true OG's. I remember getting letters from the feds telling me that my phone had been tapped after they closed their investigation and they came to my work a few times to harass me. They tried to get me fired and it almost worked. But when my boss realized who they were investigating he saw it for what it was and realized it was essentially a fishing expedition and harassment.

I see you put the thing behind it so you could brace it so they both so it goes right back into place evenly but still you have to be careful that it's even and you always have to look at everything I've done a lot of fabricating to when you got to make sure everything is even to the way that you want it pictures of how much time and effort do you want to put into it

More than that yet! I have lowered my 81 Camaro 3", and put bigger tires up front (225-45-18) and I need more negative camber. I have way to many Shims in there right now and my camber is still positive! (almost 0°)
      I need to shorten mines!
I massaged the fenders and rolled the lip, but still very close. I'll be cutting out 3/4" to 1".
Possibly moving the ball joint 1/4" more to the rear while I'm at it to get a little more positive caster for straight line stability. Gona be some work, but less than having to "extend"
      Thanks for the video!

    great vid.
one thing you might want to mention for 'beginners' is the triangular shape to A arms and keeping the correct geometry as you did with the spindle still in place, if you extend a square everything stays in parallel, if you extend or reduce a triangle (like in a roof chop) some stuff needs to be bent to match the new angle.
its knowing what to bend and what to keep 'square' that might catch out some
