    I just got mine and they're great!
    When turned off they don't block a huge amount of sound in the range of voices so you can actually be heard quite well despite perfectly blocking bullet sounds.
    When turned up to max they kind of improve your hearing of sounds form 2m away by 100% but sounds that are 10m away by 10%. It kinda feels as if they amplify the sounds that you could hear to begin with (which still is great!) but they don't exactly allow you the spy on the neighbours conversations.
    Haven't tried them with indoors shooting yet.
    BTW, they also work great when working with loud barking dogs and crying babies. ;)

  • @Syntax_Error_404
    @Syntax_Error_404 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I got them and they work great!
    Outdoors, the dual microphones allows you to localize sounds JUST AS GOOD as you can without any protection.
    Indoors you can however get a bit disorganized since you arent used to hear every single tiny sound. It's however cool to hear the birds and other animals Outdoors. Birdwatchers should use these!
    HOWEVER, the amplification of the sound cuts off first at 82dB (equals to loud traffic) which is a bit uncomfortable since getting loud pops of sound during a long day at an otherwise quiet day at the range is tiresome. I usually turn them off while shooting and back on once the mag is empty.
    When shooting bigger than 9mm i would also always double up since they don't block enough for spending several hours with the bigger stuff.
    Also, as with all over ear protection, you can't wear a hat, glasses or similar since they create any gaps between your skin, or the effectiveness will seriously be reduced.

    • @ReconBrothers
      @ReconBrothers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If the max amplification of 85dB is too much, you can just use a lower setting. You can also use eye pro with a thin frame to minimize the gap. Anyway, thanks for your comment on this video.

      Unity Tactical SARA Sordin adapters. They are meant to allow Sordins to be fitted to 3M/Peltor style helmet adaptors. The actual wires that come out and allow the ear cups to slide up and down are the exact same as the ones meant for ARC rails. I have 3M hard hat adaptors on my hard hat and the wire is the same thickness as the ones on my ballistic helmet and even has the same little flare at the end to prevent the ear cups from siding off. All you need to do is remove the 3m ear cups from the wires and then you can attach the sordins to them using the SARA adapters. Hope this helps!!!

      Hi, did you order over our store? If so can you write me an email so I can see what specific model you have and contact Sordin about this.
      Besides that, were you shooting indoor or outdoors? I Instinct

      I even took the headband wrap off and they don't fit under my high cut helmet.
      edit:
      I actually got it to fit.
      Fits kind of snug but comfortable still.
