    The SORDIN Supreme Mil CC Slim is the showpiece of the Swedish SORDIN company (once famously known as MSA SORDIN). In this video we'll fully go over both this headset and the corresponding PTT options as well as cover their builds, features and pro's and con's. Above that, we also show you a few demonstrations to give you a better understanding of what this so called "active hearing protection" actually does in practice.

    I bought two Sordin Supreme because I value high quality and good support. I thought it would make sense to buy from a European manufacturer in case of service. Puppy cake!!!! On one of my Supremes the rubber coating on the cables literally fell apart. I only carried it in my shooting bag and then to the shooting range. So I can't figure out why it dissolved like a rubber. The really annoying thing, however, is that I don't receive any answers to my emails from Sordin. As a result, I will never buy Sordin products again.

    Can the headband slide out completely and a rail adapter kit slide into the pieces to mount to a rail adapter kit for an mlok rail? Like hard head veterans?

    Question: remember when you did the tutorial about converting normal mag pouches into fast mag pouches, is it possible to do that on a plate carrier where the pouches are built in? If so how?

    Since you used both sordins and comtacs, what would you say are the differances between them?

      @@ReconBrothers cant you write it down here what the Main differences between them are?
      So then some more people would be able to read it. Maybe even make a small Info Video about it.

    • @ReconBrothers
      @ReconBrothers  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@julietbravo This highly depends on your personal needs and thus requires personal advice. And as for making a video or whatever about their differences, is not an easy thing to do since both brands have continuous developments running and this info can be quickly outdated. Take as example, the fact that a Sordin is not easily placed on a Team Wendy or M-LOK style helmet now, while they're working on it and this might already be solved in a few Months from now. So, if you want personal up to date advice, feel free to write an e-mail. I Viper

    Can you please advise what are the main users differences between MIL CC and Pro X versions? I am comparing MIL version without microphone. Do they differ in quality of sound processing of any features which can be crucial?

    • @ReconBrothers

      Mainly the microphone, but also it's standard. The MIL is build to withstand far more extreme conditions. Check the in the next link under the title "standars & approval" to get a better idea: www.reconbrothers.com/shop/74332-06-s-sordin-c-supreme-mil-cc-slim-green-2399?category=12

    One more question. I’m thinking about purchasing Sordin AUX without the mounted mic. Is there a third party solution which would allow me to connect a microphone to the AUX and a radio?

    • @ReconBrothers
      @ReconBrothers  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not that we know of. Some Americans claim it can be done. But Sordin themselves say that they do not include the necessary technology in these products to have them work with a mic.

    Would the Sordin Supreme Pro X (without mic like Mil CC) works when i plug PTT and radio in it?

    • @ReconBrothers
      @ReconBrothers  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can receive audio by using a 3mm pin, but there is no way for the headset to send out. So you would need another device that can send the spoken sound to the radio when using the PTT. I Instinct

      @@ReconBrothers Thank you for the fast response brother! Could you please take a look at this video and see how he was able to achieve the setup without a boom mic? th-cam.com/video/YzbPyTpn-jg/w-d-xo.html

    • @ReconBrothers
      @ReconBrothers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wtfsmith19 I don't see what's the use of the setup that Lucas is using here. His headset isn't even connected to the PTT. I did see some thin wire running down from the back of the left cup into his shirt (probably a 3mm audio cable). But from what I see, he doesn't have any microphone input towards his PTT/radio. There might be some mod people do, but Sordin told us that the Supreme Pro doesn't feature any microphone technology on the inside to make that even work.
      So, the questions that I start to ask myself is whether this will be cheaper in the first place & if it does what you think, will this even work reliably? Another aspect I ask myself is whether it will be as tough as Sordin makes their MIL CC system. My fair answer to those are that I simply don't know, but I highly doubt that. | Viper

    Hey, I got myself a Sordin Supreme Mil CC and a Nexus PTT, they attach fine to my radio (Midland G7 Pro) but when I press the PTT the TX only pops up for a second on the radio screen then it disappears even while I am still holding down the PTT button. Has anyone got any experience with this? My friend who has a different headset setup but same radio sees the TX remain on screen so you know it's actually transmitting voice audio.
    As a side note, I do get audio through the headset when plugged in with the PTT to radio by navigating through the menus on the radio with the built in buttons.
    Thanks in advance.
