I don't mind posting longer series like 2h long from time to time. If its on fridays or weekends that would be even better cause i will have time to watch them.
Would also be good the day before stream highlights - I’m always dying for a cast on those days, at least. Long video day before would give me something to FINish up
I often do physical fitness/stretching/foam rolling and/or folding laundry while watching these casts, and on Winter's best of 5 casts, I just pause and come back to the video later or the next day if I haven't finished it. Some of your fans really do have time for two hours of Lowko!!!!
Hey! I just played my very first 1V1 SC2 game! And I won! I played Terran and opponent Zerg, he tried a Roach push in my Siege tank line….I watched the replay and I could have just destroyed his bases after that but I expanded my bases and maxed out and then I went to one of his expos where he countered my Siege tanks (sieged), thors ans MMM with roaches, paperlisks, mutas and ravengers. He GGd after that encounter. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to play next and get a ranking. Thanks for all your videos they really helped me. Best Regards Nils from Sweden.
31:50 that is kinda hilarious. Imagin fighting in a war against creatures that rip you apart, but you almost have to be as afraid of friendly fire too. 1 zergling getting in close to you which you could easly handle but the last thing you hear is incoming siege tank fire.
I'd love to see Serral pull that Brood targeting strategy that Dark employed in a recent game. I wonder if Serral thinks it isn't a viable strategy or just hasn't tried it?
Brilliant game by Spirit. I wouldn't mind seeing longer casts Lowko. Or you could post a series in multiple videos and just number the games. Thanks for all the videos you do post. Love your commentary and casts.
Amazing patience by Spirit. That last engagement I think he was expecting that neural from those infesters. Once they popped out then he activated the EMP. Beautiful move
Since neither can make anything at the end. Could Spirit have lifted some buildings and went for a base trade when Serral went north? Since Serral couldn't destroy all buildings without fighting the army, he would need to run back to his base and into Spirit's army.
I don't get why terran players don't leave a planetary to cover the entrance to the backlines once they get to the point where they're overloaded on ccs. If you're going to lose a cc to the slow response to a tiny drops and runbys, prevention via a couple fortresses would save you a lot
"I think he knows about ctrl-s" Lowko, my dude... I have been playing SC since it's original launch and I just learned that ctrl-s toggles sound... never fat fingered that hard lol... Also holy crap, what a game... NOT the ending I had in mind, not at all... just wow!
I'm not versus player but just hooked up again sc2 after started playing campaign again after all these years. Common things i noticed from these top players' matches are, inorder to for terran to win again zerg, terran needs to make zerg outspend close to 1.5x and also if terran can stop spreading of creep that is extra extra helpful, and means winning if you can do it right.
It feels like there should be a number of simultaneous mass nukes beyond which it is impossible to get your army out of the nuke blasts. I'm just not sure how to set such a thing up.
i just realized there may be some strategy to zergs queueing up a million tumors after some tumors have been cleared- like, why not already have those down?- but in theory, terran has lost a bunch of units, so just-cleared creep tumors actually means a window to plant even more tumors now and by the time terran is ready to go again the "cleared creep" is hardened by 2nd gen creep tumors spread further out from it 🤔
Lowko: "he's splitting his ghosts.... he make a big IMP... ah no" Seems like, Spirit is fighting Serral and try to avoid the Lowko castercurse at the same time.
ghost snipes instantly kill for 1+k resources in 3 seconds with only a handful of ghost, soo good ;P also "fungal too good bc cant be dodged, emp same, fungal too good because it can lose you the game in 1 spell, hmm emp?" like ghost man they are no doubt the strongest/most impactful and versitile unit in sc2 to an absurd amount :P
Unit can retreat after being hit from EMP, which only affect spellcaster on Zerg side, but a Fungal hit the group of army is most likely the end of them. If you clump up 14 Infestors together and get energy wiped by EMP all at once, then its more of your problem.
Bigger issue is that pros have been running units that get sniped. Ultras are the biggest throw. Like I think roaches honestly probably do better than them. The amount of time I’ve said burrow roach is the meta. I just think people don’t understand the micro required to win global as zergs and if they did they would be able to do it as other races by having drops going 24/7 and microing stuff
@@Izik09834 Roach are just bad against Tanks-Bio in lategame, and Ghost still one-shot Ravager as well. But I agree Zerg need to play with a lot more flexibility for their army composition. Commiting heavy onto Ultra/Lurker/BLord arent great against Terran lategame army.
The tip of the top pro player, the map do affect the race match-up. Most of the map is pretty much balance on slightly tilted to certain race. But, STARGAZES layout, is so much favor toward Terran in TVZ especially turtle style terran. At the moment, don't see Zerg can break terran defense in early or mid game easily while terran still can effectively do drop ship harass easily due to the layout. Perhaps Zerg players will figure it out and the meta will change or else it will be always veto by zerg
Ghosts are the most broken unit in the entire game: with one EMP they suck up energy of a whole group of units and can one shot snipe units. As a terran you should always spam ghost production late game. "you love to see it" ( most spammed expression by Lowko)
oh no, Lowko has joined the False Thumbnail club...or youtube is fucking with me. ^thumbnail it showed me was protoss weapons coming in from offscreen on a clump of terran bio and a couple tanks, mostly green re-colored colossus beams meaning the game was not something from a tournament
Hey lowko just wanted to suggest a possible custom campaign to play through if you're considering on doing another one... MindHawk's challenge gauntlet. It is super funny and challenging and I just watched episode 13 on the GGG Archives channel... Don't watch that please lowko because that would be spoilers but... yeah. En Taro Rames Jaynor!
I'm starting to wonder if throwing a bunker onto the pocket base as Terran would be viable. 4 marines in a bunker with attack upgrades would shut down a lot of those zergling drops for 4 supply of marines. Combined with the missile turrets to pick off a couple, it would help a lot, no?
A filled bunker with some depot positioning would help...but Adrenal Zerglings tear apart bunkers that aren't being mass repaired even with the Building Armor upgrade. It would kill quite a lot of lings depending on how big the runby wave is, but unless you sim city super hard to make a bunch of artificial chokepoints, it's not going to be enough.
15 or so years ago, when I was facing against Zerg AI, I found out that you could right click on the changeling to kill it, Also, if you select your army, the changeling won't be selected.
as it is now i honestly think resources should be unlimited. as it is now it feels extremely unfair and it kinda breaks the game and gameflow when the resources are emptied; in the dumbest way and though it doesn't matter it also feels dumb as fck lore wise that the "planat" would ran out of resources faster than the war could be 'won'
You don't want 3hours + matches happen all the time. The old map had more resources but after that infamous super long match, they decided to reduce them significantly.
@Lowko, a couple of times I've heard you refer to Serral as 'a Finisher' in reference to his country of origin. In the English language you would only ever describe someone as Finnish, as a Finlander, or (most commonly) simply a Finn. Finisher is a different word with a specific meaning. English is hard. Love your content :-)
Serral’s nickname is “The Finisher” which is a nod to his country of origin, but also as a descriptor for his gameplay (taking small advantages and running away with them very quickly).
Over a year now I have always said it, ultras throw the game. Useless unit in terms of mobility supply and cash. Broods and lurkers are straight up better
Ultras more or less only exist to cut down HTs against Skytoss comps that are massing Carriers. For literally any other function they're a useless throw unit.
Ultras have their purpose. Serral wouldn't be able to bust the bases he did without them. They die but they absorb a lot of damage and allow other unities to inflict their damage. Lurkers are mostly useless against good terran pros because of tanks. You can use them, but it is very situational. Broodlords are good, but you lose mobility when you go for them. Serral uses them as a game finisher move when the resources are almost gone. Using them before this hinders your ability to harass because it makes the position of your main army predictable.
@@conelord1984 I strongly disagree still, ultras get countered by ghosts but they get way less value still. Over the last 2 years it’s literally been a throw anytime I’ve seen a high level Zerg go ultras against a Terran. A long run by or going roach burrow is probably better
@@Izik09834 All pros use ultras against positions defended by ghosts. Serral almost ALWAYS uses them and he wins a lot. The seconds you get when the opponent is microing the ghost is enough to allow your other units to inflict a LOT of damage. So you may disagree as much as you want, but you are just wrong.

Serral delivers so many great macro games, never SC2 lategame was so enjoyable to watch!
Yeah, but its getting boring last times
I laughed so hard at that paranoid tank target fire on the poor marine
LOL every time there is a match of Zerg vs Terran the neural parasite of a ghost is always mentioned but I never see it

The irony of the Zerg played "sniping" ghosts with his banes was not lost on me :)
