    Thank you very much for this informative and clear review, doing my first build upgrade alone so having the exact motherboard get broken down by area was very useful.
    I've been running on ancient gear for about a decade now with the exception of my graphics card and have gotten by with good graphics and decent frame rate on games as advanced as Cyberpunk and Hogwarts Legacy on an Intel Core i5-7500 CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (MVP of PC).
    But no matter how I tried to make it work I couldn't get Space Marine 2 to function on my gear, so I bit the bullet and made the new setup around this motherboard and I don't know if it'll be like putting on glasses for the first time but honestly I'm excited to see everything I've been missing out on and more that that everything I'll be able to finally run.
    TL:DR Thanks for the summary of the Motherboard, helped me make my new PC so I can play Space Marine 2.

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      don't forget that the 3060 is a pcie gen 4 card and this board is only PCie gen 3 so you won't get the full perfromance from it, but it will be close. Ideally a B550 board would be more fitting and offer better upgrade path for the long term.

      @@mikesunboxing Hi Mike, I'm just trying to figure out same issue on an old Gigabyte ga-z87x-ud5h driving me crazy, but on those the tomahawk and the mortar i think its the advanced settings, power management, find your header number and set a manual curve. Long winded way around it but I think its kind of just 100% on or off with those without PWM or without manually setting them. The other way around it is to use RGB fans with an independent controller or get some PWM fans from say Arctic for about £3.50 to £4 each I find them to be a half decent none RGB unit.

    Nice board. My only real gripe is that MSI likes to use black/red (granted it's their color scheme) too much. It's very limiting in the colors you can use in a build with tempered glass panel cases. The boards from MSI that I've used was the Pro Carbon editions for that reason. But you're also paying a premium for the Pro Carbons. I've been using Asus ROG Strix lately though. I just prefer their software, aesthetics and their beefier VRMs more. But MSI is pretty good too. The only boards I've ever encountered issues with is Gigabyte. I've had or have known people who have had issues with several of their boards. Asrock is pretty solid boards also.

      @@mikesunboxing hey bro thanks again for this vid already purchased mine, just a question what would you recommend the right parts for this motherboard? Such as type of ryzen 5, ram speed and the GPU. I was thinking, getting a ryzen 5 3600, for the ram ddr4 8gbx2 16gb 3600mhz but not yet sure what brand i would go to, then for the GPU i have no idea, im just afraid of the bottlenecking and spending all of my budget for something that in the first place i wont even need .. the ideal is for future proofing hopefully. Does the motherboard support headsets that also double as microphones? At 12:20 you talked about the highlighted red one being for speakers and audio. If I plug my headset+microphone into that port will I have access to the microphone? Also if there is a port designated for headset+microphone, will there be a dip in sound quality? Many thanks! I really appreciated the video!!

    Hi i'd like to buy that motherboard + ryzen 3600 + 2070s. For wifi connection what do y suggest? A pci card or usb dongle? Thx

      Dongle is my choice as they are cheap and can be moved around on a extension cable if needed

    I have a question if you can answer is the type c ports just like used for vr gaming or what does it have to do with like the microphone I don’t know what it’s used for

      type c is the future of USB lots of devices can use it and more and more are available every day. But if you don't have any usb type c devices it makes no difference to the actual performance of the computer

    Hello. I'm new to pc tech but I'm planning to build one soon. I have a already bought this exact Mobo but I've ordered a ram with a speed of 3600mz.Will it still work in the motherboard? And if so how much of the speed will it support?

      it should run at 3200 or 3466 you might even get 3600 manually entering the details

      @@clarencegramula3971 You are supposed to go to the bios. There are many videos on TH-cam explaining how to do it.
