Hello Mike!, I luckily bought this board in 2018. It has never failed me, and as I mentioned, Im going to install a ryzen 5 5600 paired with a ASRock Radeon RX 6600 . Hope it makes it bullet-proof 1080p until I jump to the AM5 computer. Great review
should be great
Did you do it with that combo?
@@ZombieDestroyer991 no combination at that time
@@isshinryu11do you have this mobo?
@ZombieDestroyer991 yes..I do. When you try upgrading your computer, you try to add the components that will make it move on. By adding a cpu and gpu to this motherboard. It still has life, and works well. It can't compete with with this Era of computers, but it manages what I need for now. Let's say, even with upgrades, it doesn't do what you want. Then the decision is already made.
whats the best and fastest ram to use on b450m pro4 with the r7 5700x3d cpu? thx 3200 ddr4 with xmp profile on?
yeah 3200 should be fine, if you are very lucky you "might" get 3600 to run. CL16 3200mhz is probably what to aim for

what's the difference between B450m pro4 and B450m pro4 r2.0??
not sure exactly but there is a different audio chip and some have said the PCIe lanes are slightly different and maybe a different VRM solution. nothing deal breaking though
I bought a asrock b450m pro4 cb for my Ryzen 7 1700 is that a good combo

What's the best video card that fits this mobo?
the best PCIe gen3 card is likely the 1080ti, it can use PCIe gen4 cards but you will lose some performance, in theory you can use a 4090 if you want, there aren't really any that flat out won't work
I have one running a Ryzen 5600g with 16gb 3600 cl16 ram. Nothing bad to say about it except that since it has 4 dimms slotd, it was too big to fit in my ridiculously small case so I went with the Asrock B450M-HDV r4 running a 5700g, 32gb cl16 ram no problem with Windows 11.
5600G work good on there? that is good to know
@@mikesunboxing yes, and the memory is a Silicon Power SP016GXLZU360BDA kit, supposed to work at cl18, but absolutely run fine at cl16 and 1.35v. It is crunching some cryptos 24/7 while heating a piece in my basement 😁

Hi Mike, I got my hands on this Asrock B450M Pro4 rev 1.01 board, where the user has unfortunately updated the new BIOS 10.08, but it has an old processor AMD A12 9800. The PC just restarts after the update. No image. How can I downgrade BIOS to older version 1.6 or other suitable BIOS.
Unfortunately, I don't see a FlashBack button here.

i think there is a setting in the BIOS to allow BIOS rollback

I've had this board for almost exactly 3 1/2 years now, paid £69 for it (nice). Really can't fault it, I've gone through 3 processors on this board, and it's done its job admirably. I had a Ryzen 3600 with 3600 CL16 Ballistix, and it worked flawlessly, I could even clock that RAM up to 3800 with no issues. Now with a 5600X, the ram runs perfectly at 3600 (or overclocked even higher), so I think you must have been rather unlucky with your RAM situation!
yeah seems so, Kath is using the full size version of this and that didn't like GSkill RAM at all, but seems okaty with vcolor and thermaltake

I'm buying ryzen 5600x.
Should I buy
B450m pro4 or B450 pro4 R 2.0 or B450 steel legend.
I don't care about the rbg on steel legend. I care about the components used to build like better Mosfet, choke, capacitors and better quality vrm.
Will b450m steel legend perform as good as b450m pro4 or b450 pro4 R2 with its less vrm.
Or may be the vrm, Mosfet, capacitors, choke on steel legend is better built even though less in numbers.
