Not a good fit for a foreigner. Since there's no divorce in the Philippines she's still legally married and can't marry again.
what a breath of fresh air.. this is a genuine woman with all the right feminine qualities a man is looking for. I think she will do really well as a relationship coach. She already has a good mindset

Gladys is more Americanized than most Filipinas. She's nice but too Westernized to take seriously. As she said, she is hoping to use her TH-cam channel to "empower" women in her home country to get to the "I don't need no man" level.

I think she was talking about showing Filipinas to be comfortable with their bodies and not being concerned about other people's opinions.
Don't recall the "I don't need a man" part but maybe I missed it.
She did reference ‘empowering’ Filipinas to the point of helping them to raise their self-esteem and to not be 100% reliant upon their partner for everything. What is wrong with that? I know for a fact that I could not rely upon someone else for my total existence; I would feel like a parasite. I don’t believe that she is looking to start a feminist movement in the Philippines- she is just trying to promote an atmosphere of positive self-worth among Filipinas which, in my estimation, could make them better partners (less clingy, less suspicious, less jealous).
Perhaps (giving slight credence to paulwerdaks comment), this could be the ‘seed’ of what we in the US know as the Feminist Movement. If so, there is nothing we can do to stop it. I’ll just enjoy the vast difference in Filipinas vs American women as I live out the rest of my life - knowing that there is very little chance that a Filipina Feminist Movement could affect my life.
There's always someone in the crowd/class who manages to miss the whole point of the provided information. We just found our example.
Basically a more articulate version of the usual info. Gladys is also a great dancer - she danced elegantly around the topic of hypergamy 😁 (IMHO its existence *can* be very real everywhere - at least in some specific cases).

Unfortunately, My observation from dating a Filipina online an elderly foreigner is looked upon as a Sugar daddy who might provide for them or lift them out of poverty or provide for the child they bore from a dalliance with a Filippino who dumped them as soon as they knew she was pregnant. They start asking for money and if you send them anything at all it escalates from hundreds of pesos to thousands of pesos and they become a peso pit where whatever you may give them is never enough. So my only advice is as soon as they start asking you for money and smothering you in sob stories run the other way as fast as you can. Or it will rapidly stop being about you and about the pesos. It is an easy trap to fall into when you reach an age that most women won't even glance at you let alone talk to you.

I’m getting a sense that she may be the thing men are running away from. I absolutely am not interested in a feminist. This may be why she has been unable to establish a successful relationship. Taking dating and relationship advice from a woman is like taking investment advice from a poor man. Guess I’m too red pilled.

Very articulate and attractive young lady. I listened very closely to what she said. The part about dating a lot the last 2 years raised an eyebrow. The part about losing a man if a Filipina did not have sex with a man in fear of losing him raised another eyebrow. You can't tell if she is practicing Western dating but this is what she was describing. I have watched many Filipinas interviewed in what they want in a man and in particular a foreigner. Every time I hear words kind, considerate, respectful, mature and financially stable. I know as a man I don't want a woman that just views me in that prism. From the first date she should be looking at a man and thinking is he geapo or pogi. If not there will never be physical, emotional and sexual chemistry. This is where the mistakes begin and why foreigner and Filipina relationships break up. None of the Filipinas I have heard discuss relationships have thought it out except they definitely want financial stability and family assistance. It is not pkeasant being viewed as an ATM. So what should a Filipina do in finding any man for a relationship? At the starting point she should have thought about what makes a relationship work for her from her perspective. She should make two lists to begin and these lists should be non negotiable. They could be long, short or in between. First she should have a list of must haves. Her next partner should possess certain qualities and attributes which she dems necessary and in terms of importance. The next list is one of can't do. This is a list of attributes and qualities that if he does certain things it is one date or conversation and it is done. She should keep in mind that the first thing a man is looking for in a relationship is if he finds her attractive and if he feels chemistry. He will know this during the first date. He will also be viewing her in terms of would he like to be intimate with her and does he think she has long term relationship potential. The key word is potential. There are key things a man wants to hear and does not want to hear when first interacting with a Filipina. The initial potential physical and sexual chemistry possibilities are the easy part. But let me give a few examples of things a foreigner does not want to hear. Anything about money or material items. Most foreigners don't want to initially hear about exes or personal problems because if she is discussing baggage early on it will get worse. No drugs, smoking or heavy drinking. Her attitude toward him and those around them during the date. Does she have her phone at the table or someplace on her and keeps looking at it. Those are just a few. But from the beginning the foreigner wants to see how he us greeted and what the Filipina says about him during that first conversation. Those are the must haves that will come out in a free flowing conversation. I won't provide my must haves but there are about 15 things I look for and most are what should be in any relationship. There are a few key words that if I don't hear them then there is no reason to continue interacting. Moreover what are her priorities in a man will normally shine thru and they may be in that can't do category. A Filipina should be looking at a man the same way. A Filipina and a foreigner should be very selective. Don't waste each other's time. Be prepared before entering any relationship knowing what you are looking gor and what you know has no place for you in a relationship. Good luck.
Great point definitely agree in making a list just so you know what you really want and don't want. Mistake in that though is you may become rigid and close off by automatically crossing out someone who doesn't tick all the boxes so make yourself flexible too and maybe put in a priority how does each value rank something like that and if the top 3 values are check and the rest of 7 doesn't then you can decide how does it weighs and maybe still give it a shot than goi6gor someone who checks most box but doesn't really align with the top 3 ..just a thought
I think the most important of all is that the values alignment. If both people value continues growth and learning then whatever differences can be talked about and improve and workout.

¹HI Mike! Just watched this video with Glades. She is charming, beautiful, and well mannered. The few things about the Filipina behavior struck a touchdown, as my Filipina ex had some of those symptoms. Jealousy, insecurity, holding a grudge, constant accusations. Just because her guys before me chested on her, doesn't mean I would!! I paid for everything here once we got married and she got her papers. Once she got her papers, she acted totally different. She was from Paranaque, and worked 26 years as a bank employee for the BANK OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLAND S!! I felt she may be more different a day sofisticated acting, instead of a Jealous girlfriend.

Every filipina is beautiful and always smiling 😁. I still like provence Ladies better than City filipina. Plus my wife I married she is younger than I am but we have fun being together and always laughing and joking with each other. We know how to communicate to each other and make each other happy and know the other is loved and only one we each want. I'm not saying we perfect but we try and work on it each day it feels like we falling in love each day after 5 years yes we had bad times but I can count on one hand the bad. But communication and insuring them they are the only one you want. ❤❤

Finding a good provider (meal ticket) is normal, let's just embrace that answer cos it's real. It's not the looks. Now if the expat is poor, they'll get dropped. Upgrading is normal so don't give them a reason to. Kindness goes a long way for Filipinas. Lack of kindness and they will upgrade.

My biggest challenge was navigating the relationship dynamics between my sweetheart and her family. My ignorance of such cultural constructs such as utang na loob and walang hiya did cause problems, miscommunications, and misunderstandings for a number of years until I became more familiar with those particular issues. Navigating around these takes a lot of patience and knowing what hills are worth dying on, and what territory you can give up. Truthfully, Mrs. Rick wasn't a great help in the beginning as because a fish doesn't quite know that it is wet all the time, she was immersed in a culture that she didn't really question enough to be able to explain it to me. Once I began the questioning, life and communication became much easier and productive.
So... my advice is to study up from a number of sources about these two cultural landmarks in the Pinoy community, and then set down with your sweetheart and ask her how these relate to her, how they relate to her and her family obligations/expectations, and how they might affect your relationship with her going into the future.

You did an excellent job with this interview. This lady will do well as a you tuber. Regardless of whether you are online, in person or already living with a Filipina. Never spend more money on her or her family than you can afford to lose. It is exactly like going into a Casino. If you gamble money you need to survive then it is on you, and no one else to blame but yourself.

A really good interview Mike. I think Gladys will be successful with her channel because her choice of subject matter and approach is from a perspective of self awareness.
I don't know her level of education, clearly she speaks good English, but you don't have to be book smart to be perceptive.
My Grandma didn't really go to school as a girl but when it came to judging someone's character her opinions were ALWAYS accurate.
In contrast I know a college professor who teaches science his 3 children are all academically very bright but have little common sense and virtually no social skills.
It was refreshing to hear from a filipina with an understanding of English and the filipina mindset. If foreign guys are smart enough to listen they'll learn a lot.
I see how "dating" multiple girls might cause problems as would "cheating" despite the fact some filipinas are happy with the idea of dating a foreigner while having a filipino boyfriend.
In my opinion the best way to avoid being scammed or ending up with the wrong filipina is to take your time and get to know them and tbe family.
Mike if you want to take care of Janet and have concerns about leaving cash how about a trust arrangement where restrictions are put on how the money drawn can be spent?

Your Filipina will have some insecurity with her foreigner for the simple reason is she knows their are plenty of Filipina available that might want to steal him from her. It's supply and demand, there are just MORE Filipina looking for a foreigner then foreigner's available, especially good ones that are looking for long term relationships. Now if we are talking about jealousy I've heard Filipina's friends and family might be so Jealous that she landed a foreigner they will try to ruin the relationship with Patutsada (Innuendo, negative rumor).

She's just looking for love with a foreigner to fulfill her childhood dream of finding her Prince Charming. The man that will love her and take care of her the rest of her life. People should be happy for her if she can find that man.

Everybody goes through bad relationships unfortunately but I think if a person opens their mind and learns from their past and their mistakes and know what they’re looking for they can find the perfect partner/mate that they can be happy with enjoying life and everything in it. Beautiful woman very well spoken and she has an open mind which is wonderful, by the way she looks a lot like my ex-wife who was beautiful but unfortunately had a lot of bad qualities. Very well spoken and intelligent lady, Filipina's can learn a LOT from her, as can foreigners. Just remember, not every guy likes big boobs 😉 If that's what they want, why go to the place where on average they are the smallest size. I think one of the biggest problems with insecurities is she is going to need CONSTANT affirmation from her partner, and that gets EXHAUSTING, and if he doesn't then it creates problems that don't need to be. For the women that think they're not good enough, remember, he chose YOU over the MILLIONS of other Filipina's, so you're obviously good enough for him. YES, he will see other women when he goes out, and YES he will look at them, and YES when he does look he is comparing her to you, but he chose YOU and she's not you, the woman he looks at isn't good enough. Don't add stress and drama, bring him happiness and PEACE and he will give you his heart, and no other woman can steal from him, what you possess.
She will HAVE TO manage EXPECTATIONS from her family/and friends, just because HE has money does NOT mean they do. He worked most of his life to EARN the money he has and HE decides how he will spend it. Me personally, I don't believe I am financially responsible for other ADULTS, I didn't work most of MY LIFE to financially support someone else being lazy or their early retirement. I am responsible for myself, my LIVE IN girlfriend/wife, and OUR child/ren, NO ONE else, anything beyond that is me being kind and generous maybe ONCE IN A WHILE, but it should NOT be expected. NO ONE is ENTITLED to the money I EARNED. Just as I'm not interested in a single mother, nothing against them, but I am not financially responsible for some one else's child, the person she created it with is responsible for it, I ONLY speak for ME. There are others that will be OK with taking on the responsibility for a child that isn't there's. A relationship can be just as easily destroyed by her family's greed as it can by her actions and behaviors.
You look over the fence and think the grass is greener. You make that leap over the fence just to find out the green grass was nothing but a mirage, and now you are stuck in a barren desert wasteland devoid of ALL vegetation. You look back only to see that fence become "The Wall" that you can no longer get over, crushing all your hopes and dreams of greener pastures. Forsaking you to be SINGLE and ALONE FOREVER. Instead of looking for greener pastures, why not plant some grass in your own backyard and create those greener pastures with your partner and be happy where you are.

My experienced here in US I had American boyfriend 3 years ago and I stayed with him for couple years but can’t save money because I had to pay utilities at his house, I broke because his house very big. Long story, I finally break up with him, now I am living in my own house. I can save money to visit my brother sister in the Philippines someday.
Sadly, most guys won't see stretch marks as a "mark of strength" as she put it, but just an ugly stretch mark. No sugar coating on that. But hey, some guys won't mind that, and you'll know they're a good catch. And those guys are the kind foreigners, not the local boys, so there's hope out there sister!
