I got one nearly 5 years ago. I had a cdl as well at the time and the consequences are 10x worse. I was a driver for a company and had to move to a different shift because I could no longer drive. Happy to say come this fall. I'll be able to drive again.

yup had a few drinks on my bday my DD and every Left me. didnt have money this my pay day was in two days. so my friends treated me out. My dd lost my cars keys and i went to go find them and our server found them and gave them back to me and when i got back to my car EVERYONE was gone. so i drove home and on my way home my driver side tires blows out on the freeway. So instead of letting the car go left in to the other lanes to Avoid hitting other cars . i turn it right, to get to the shoulder. since i was 1/2 mile from my exits . i guess i pulled a little to hard to the right and lost control and crash in to the side wall . So A ambulanced pasted the crash and even tho i had AAA on the way and told them im fine they reported it and police show and i got a dui and also found out My license was suspended, even tho i never got a notice of the suspension.

Than after the 6months there going to clear your criminal record .But the dui will still be on your driving record for 7 to 10years. Also you will have to attend a MADD program (Mother's against Drunk Driving).You have nothing to worry about. Except learning from this lesson and Never making this mistake again..Try to take a break from drinking. So you can deal with this speed bump with a clear mind.Trust me I know the feeling. It's not the end of the world.Dont get a lawyer..Its waste of money if you already blew..Just be mindful that you didn't kill or paralyze yourself or anyone else. This is your final wakeup call. I have had a lawyer I've kept on retainer for smaller infractions. He is really cavalier and cocky. To be honest. Trucking was all I had. I'm in a very bad place mentally over this and I really don't know what I'm going to do.
What happens if you have your cdl's but catch a dwi in your personal car and not in the truck...i caught mine last month i got a paid lawyer i put myself in alcohol classes and put the breathing tube in my car so when that when i go to court i got all that under my belt...my lawyer talking about a probation before judgment and my cdl's gone for a year. I got a dwi in October the 4th I just received a letter from dps it’s going to get suspend from today till February 10.. I need to pay a reinstatement fee of $125 and I’m getting it back. The court, it’s going to take a while because of the pandemic.. one more dwi and we’ll lose it for LIFE!!! Eveything will be fine. Keep your head up. Stay away from alcohol or get a Lyft or Uber. Learned my lesson. Prayers 🙏🏼

But on my sentence, the courts didn't impose neither so I looked further into Oregon law about it and from my understanding the i.i.d is imposed for one year after my one year suspension is up eventho the DMV representative was suggesting that I would still need to get it even after the year for at least 90days. The second questionable thing is the sr22 requirement DMV is telling me to get for 3yrs. I don't know how people are capable or are okay dealing with this..

I just got my first DUI and going through a lot. My court hearing is due in Jan 2023 but I’m scared of the outcome as I blew 0.14 and was stopped for speeding 55/70. Failed all the FS tests. Had no other factors on the arrest. I was jailed when caught and spent 10 hours in the jail. This is in Virginia and I’m expecting a mandatory license suspension for an year. I might be permitted to drive with a restricted license but with the interlock installed. How much does the car insurance go up after the suspension if we have to get an SR22 or FR44 insurance?

Talk to your lawyer, I'm not sure how texas handle these things.You should be good dont stress yourself..Good thing alcohol wasn't involved with your situation.Just ask your lawyer he will get you through this

I hold myself fully accountable for what I did to myself..I see the blessing in things more now .So I'm pushed into another purpose, career direction in life..Just hope people will not make this mistake. @@yajairaperez1899 - I highly recommend getting a attorney. Public defender will only get you the minimal fines. A good Attorney can get it down to a reckless driving especially since you have a clean record
I was in a wreck it was my fault but I wasn’t breathelized or taken any blood samples. There are witnesses saying it was my fault but it doesn’t say anything about dui on my ticket. What do you think will happen?
oh and i recently got busted for speeding doing 129 in a 55 zone on my bike here in florida its a criminal offense i got so lucky though the officer didnt show and judge dismissed it i would probably have lost my career as a telephone tech i have to be able to drive company vehicle and if they suspended my license i would have been screwed pretty crazy how easy things can change and we take shit for granted
Man, if you're stupid enough to do 120mph in a 55mph zone, you should have your license yanked. Most states consider 25+ over the limit reckless driving (a criminal offense), and you were doing more than double that. Had that cop showed you, you would have ended up in jail for a few months.

I unfortunately got a misdemeanor dui last friday, I had 3 drinks at a comedy show, since i work overnight, I got sleepy during the show, i even fell asleep at one point at the show.After I decided to drive home and hit a parked car because i feel asleep behind the wheel. You have the option of doing community service if its your first offense..What do you do for living do you have a cdl..

I just got my first DUI and going through a lot. My court hearing is due in Jan 2023 but I’m scared of the outcome as I blew 0.14 and was stopped for speeding 55/70. Failed all the FS tests. Had no other factors on the arrest. I was jailed when caught and spent 10 hours in the jail. This is in Virginia and I’m expecting a mandatory license suspension for an year. I might be permitted to drive with a restricted license but with the interlock installed.
How much does the car insurance go up after the suspension if we have to get an SR22 or FR44 insurance?

When I got busted with a CDL I couldn't even get a restricted license.

@@fernandogalvan3912 well up here in CT all you have to do is pay the 175 cdl renewal fee, Once your year of suspension is up.Im not sure how its done in the south hopefully its the same..No road or written test required.

@@sabrinarivas2780 i not sure DWI work when its not alcohol related to be honest.But your punishment shouldn't be harsh because your 18 and you have alot going for (work, School) you never got in trouble before.The judge will show you mercy giving the fact your only a child. Talk to your lawyer, I'm not sure how texas handle these things.You should be good dont stress yourself..Good thing alcohol wasn't involved with your situation.Just ask your lawyer he will get you through this

damit man i feel for ya man the laws are pretty harsh when it comes to dui honestly i think the way it should be is for first offense as long as you dont harm anyone else they shouldnt give you a criminal record they hand out misdemeanors and felonys too easy now days and it ruins lives hopefully everything works out for you man u will get through it

I hold myself fully accountable for what I did to myself..I see the blessing in things more now .So I'm pushed into another purpose, career direction in life..Just hope people will not make this mistake. I’m freaking out , I’m 24 years old and last week I got my first DUI . I’m so stressed b/c I’m reading too much of it . I blew .18 over the limit of 0.8 in Illinois. I’m using a public defender b/c I can’t use a lawyer at this moment am I making a mistake for that ? @@yajairaperez1899 - I highly recommend getting a attorney. Public defender will only get you the minimal fines. A good Attorney can get it down to a reckless driving especially since you have a clean record

I was in a wreck it was my fault but I wasn’t breathelized or taken any blood samples. There are witnesses saying it was my fault but it doesn’t say anything about dui on my ticket. What do you think will happen?
oh and i recently got busted for speeding doing 129 in a 55 zone on my bike here in florida its a criminal offense i got so lucky though the officer didnt show and judge dismissed it i would probably have lost my career as a telephone tech i have to be able to drive company vehicle and if they suspended my license i would have been screwed pretty crazy how easy things can change and we take shit for granted
Man, if you're stupid enough to do 120mph in a 55mph zone, you should have your license yanked. Most states consider 25+ over the limit reckless driving (a criminal offense), and you were doing more than double that. Had that cop showed you, you would have ended up in jail for a few months.

Wassup bro should i get a lawyer i recently got arrested in houston texas for misdemanor dwi i took xans and weed no beer. Me and my girlfriend were fighting and she steered my steering wheel causing me to scrape my car on the side and this lady followed me and the laws came and told me that someone reported me crashing in the freeway and i told them what had happened with my girlfriend i told them its not like i had beer in my system so i took a blood test and i dont want probation or nothing
get this i was sitting on my stairs at 11:45 pm, dead end oka car comes along all a sudden a cop yells out his loud speaker stay there iam like what, so i stand up he pullls his service piece out throws me against my house cuffs me, does a sober test on me i wear a size 14 boot i could not do it, your going to jail, ok i was not driving i get a ticket for 861 dollars for owl, 163 dollars for excessive speed, i wasnt driving they take me to the hospital against my own will search my truck my pockets and told me if they didnt get blood from me i would have a year revoke on my licsense, ok sat in the booking holding cell for 7 hours called for a friend to pick me up, or i would have had to stay for 24 hours, i need to get ahold of you bro i have way more to say cuz this is getting long, maybe call me from my home phone?? just happened to me 04/19/21 but its fucked up and the officers involved are going down!!! I unfortunately got a misdemeanor dui last friday, I had 3 drinks at a comedy show, since i work overnight, I got sleepy during the show, i even fell asleep at one point at the show.After I decided to drive home and hit a parked car because i feel asleep behind the wheel. First offence for anything, I'm stressing. My car is not worth fixing anymore and i feel like it's the end for me.
I have court next month and i dont really want to lose my only job because of this. I believe i blew a .15. I'm terrified of what will happen to me, hired a lawyer but I feel like they might not do anything different a public defender will.
