- The Pixel 7 Pro is upon us. I have been living with the Pixel 6 Pro for an entire year, through Graduate School, Licensure, helping with Clinicals and other life endeavors. Do you need to jump for the Pixel 7 Pro or will the Pixel 6 Pro be what you need it to be?

Still the Fold 4, to be honest! Not that the Pixel or IPhone aren't great phones, but the Fold just does literally everything I need it to do. Truly a special device.

Hey Dav first time viewer. Just stumbled upon your channel today looking at Google Pixel Phones.
You are very good at reviewing technology, especially phones.
I am an electrician that used to fix computers. I think you take a good approach that most average people can understand and value.
I am a big fan of MKBHD channel which has millions of subs and viewers. I think you can be that kind of channel, with your voice and relatability.
Only thing the top channels have on you is the high end photography and video graphics. MkB uses a studio with a top view shot that has a camera holder with lighting.
Honestly you don't need all of that. You just need good angles, a top down view of new phones and a side by side comparison of the phones being compared.
You should reach out to the tip channels and see if they can give you pointers or rep

Hey Dave great in depth video. I currently have a 7 pro that I have had a case on since day one. However I really dislike cases. But I can’t bring myself since I bought it brand new. Usually I don’t use a case, but I usually get my phones used. This one I did not I got it new. I was wondering in this video you didn’t seem to use a case at all. I was. Curious how the phone held up over the year with the phone? Did it scratch up a lot? Just looking for your opinion/ experience. Thanks!!!

Really nice one year review. I really like how you went into every day use, that kind of information is far more valuable than benchmark scores in my view. I have subscribed because I was so impressed with this review. I love my Pixel 6 Pro, it's probably one of the best phones I have ever had. However for me a smaller phone is probably preferable so I have pre-ordered the Pixel 7.
Im looking at the 6 pro but I heard it had problems when it was released did they solve the problem with updates.

just a point on the slower battery charging they did that on purpose limiting the phone to 30watts for longevity of the battery through the years.
What do you think about the phone as compared to something like a used S21 Ultra or S22 Ultra. I can still currently buy a new P6 Pro for pretty much right in between of the S21U and S22U, do you think it is more worth it than those phones? O am currently on a S9.
I have a pixel 6 pro now for a year or so, the issues i have is #1 its gets hot either when charging or in long camera usage, #2 screen brightness its just not bright enough you need to have it full brightness to see in bright light, #3 speakers to quiet they go from barly audible to high volume in the the last quarter of the slider, #4 recording video with the flash on will over heat it and the flash will auto turn off which is really annoying i mean after like 2 mins, otherwise i love the phone ill definatly upgrade to a 7 pro just for the refinements
How much SOT are you getting on P6P? Mine doesn't last more than 6hrs? have tried everything but nothing worked.

This is literally the best if not the best long term review I've watched for the Poxel 6 Pro device.
Also, this phone is what I would want to buy but not Google did not release it here in the Philippines. I can buy and do international shipping but the 5G band is not compatible and will not work. Hope the 7/7 Pro would have a unified international bands so we can be able to use it here in the Philippines

How can I know for a fact whether my Pixel 6 Pro is from Google or from a Carrier?

I got a google 6 pro for 270 I upgraded from iphone 11 and I like it it's a really good phone. Just the battery life isn't the best but not a deal breaker. The fingerprint can delay at times but most of the time it works good and fast. Just a little buggy but all in all a really good phone for the price.

India. No sign or communication about availability of 256gb variants. Suddenly some No Cost EMIs are withdrawn and reduced to 3 months. And when asked the company about availability of 256gb variants, no response whatsoever. And wait until then the stocks supposedly gets sold out. As much as I loved the phone. Google you need to do a lot to catch up guys. And combine that with gimmicks of buying from Flipkart and out of stock tricks. Unpleasant experience

So I would be interested to hear your thoughts on whether the Pixel 6 Pro is actually a "better buy than the Pixel 7 Pro". A couple of criticisms that many reviewers have talked about with the Pixel 6/6Pro is that there are connectivity issues where calls might drop randomly and such. They've also discussed how the fingerprint sensor isn't very quick. Have you noticed these things?
And for someone who wants a new phone (for instance, if their current phone is 5+ years old), would you suggest going with the Pixel 7 Pro, or save money and go with the Pixel 6 Pro (if you think there isn't much of a difference, and that the 6 Pro performs extremely well already)? Thank you!

I got the pixel 6 pro for 500, it amazing apart from the battery which isn't brilliant but is fine
i have the pixel 6 pro and its really REALLY good, my old phone was a budget phone that i got 4 years ago, so pixel 6 pro is a really good option (btw i got my pixel6pro for really cheap because it has a small dot so if you want to save money try to look for dotted phones, theyre mostly brand new but have a display defect that can vary but if you can find one with a really minor dot like me its a STEAL, like i got mine for 180$ and its new)

I think the pixel stand 2 is the way to go for charging on the six pro it charges faster than my 45 watt plug-in.
Perfect timing with this video. It's my phone upgrade time and I'm debating between the pixel 7 pro, 6 pro or s22 ultra. Apple devices are to expensive for my contract options at the moment so I'm leaning towards the 6 pro. I currently have the 6a as my temporary phone. The 6a is very impressive but i want to tap into a top of the line phone. Also this quality of videos deserves more views.

I have just bought a Pixel 6 and I am very happy with it. From what I have seen is the new CPU not a lot fast and more effcient. We are talking about 10% more CPU performance. This is negligibe. Well, I am not into the 4th week of using my Pixel 6 and I still have not discovered all the options. I am coming from an 5-year-old phone. And I had to get a new one because mine was no longer working well after 5 years. It serves as a back-up now. The differences are huge. I would not bother switching phones and the pixel 6 might be on a better deal now since the pixel 7 will be released soon.

Once we find out how the modem in the 7 does.. the 6 might not be worth anything, with all it's connectivity problems for so many people.

Verdict: If you are stuck on the Pixel 5 or older, or if you just have an older android device and want to upgrade to a more premium phone that offers stock android, then go for the 7 Pro. However, if you already have the 6 Pro and have had no issues with it, then it's best to save your money and wait until the 8 Pro or even the 9 Pro releases.

I hope it's worth it lol... I just bought a Pixel 6 pro today for $463 (Canadian) after tax. Using it now, and it is excellent. I was about to buy the Pixel 7 pro but found this gem, and it's literally $800 less than the 7 pro 😐
Update: Definitely worth it. I compared it with pixel 7 pro and it opens apps at the same speed etc. I have zero performance, software or hardware issues. I'm very pleased.

Hey, Badusha! Honestly, the Pixel 6 is an amazing bang for buck, but the Pixel 7 is going to be very affordable. It depends on your budget!
I'd say just go for the 7pro at this point.
If saving some money, while still getting a year old Flagship, that probably has 90 percent of what the current Flagship can do is a priority to you, then the 6 Pro is the better option.
@@jaywright9635 Absolutely. I picked up a renewed Pixel 6 Pro for $340. The only main difference is the generation of the tensor cores. There are some subtle differences in the second and front camera specs and overall size. And that's about it. Not worth it to get a Pixel 7 Pro at the current price, especially considering that the Pixel 6 Pro will be supported through 2026, only one year less than 7 Pro.

Hi Dav! I'm very stuck between the iphone14 pro max 256 GB or the 512 GB. Everyone is saying something else. I never had an IPhone before and I want to take advantage of the crazy camera. The thing is some people say go with the smaller storage and use icloud and others say it won't be enough. Please guys help me decide. Right now my phone has 128 GB of storage with a normal camera. And I have 45GB of photos and 40GB of videos. (I can't take more since my storage is full.) I'm also not sure because of the pro raw and 4k videos although photos are more important to me. Some people say they've transferred all photos and videos to cloud and they still run out of storage. I have no idea. The difference between 256 GB and 512 GB is 260€.I would love your opinion on this! 🐢

I don't habe any games on my phone just other apps such as whatsapp, Instagram, TH-cam, video editors, photo editors, Netflix and few others. I just don't know if it's worth it to spend more money on local storage or if I should work with Icloud. Thanks for your help in advance! ☺️
