I've had my Google Pixel 6 Pro since March 2022 and I've had some hiccups like heating issues when using camera especially when recording in 4k60 and playing COD Mobile, random reboots, but after the Android 14 Software update my goodness this phone is a BEAST and FLY'S like no other phone I've ever used, and on top of that my geekbench score is way higher than it was when I originally got it on Android 12, a thousand more points then before for both single and multi score. It's AMAZING how good the phone runs now, even recording video is so much better with heat management I can record video in 4k60 with no problems now it's literally like a BRAND NEW PHONE!! Funny thing is I was about to upgrade to the Pixel 8 Pro but after the Android 14 update and how good the Pixel 6 Pro is now I will be keeping it for another year. Thank you Google y'all pulled through this time🙂👍🏼
@@iamdjbuck to be honest with you I haven't tested an hour of recording in 4k yet. But now that you bring it up I will give it a shot and let you know in the near future.👍🏼

does anyone else have that lens crack issue? I just ordered refurbished pixel 6 pro and I wasn't able to ask the seller to test for that. Hoping that my unit won't have that issue, fingers crossed
This is why I look for, Open Box, older phones or I keep looking and eventually someone not so greedy will sell a new older model for a realistic price. My Pixel 3XL i bought in Jan 2020, cost me 235.oo, brand new in factory box. But now days, greedy sellers want half new prices for 2 year old models. Even used, people seem to want almost half new prices, with damage. Crazy. When I see a 2 year old phone for 300 bucks and the screen has blotches, or cracked screens. Talk about greed. In your case, wow. Under the protective glass? How? Insane. I love pixels. But if I'm getting crap, because Google doesn't give a crap about quality. I'll go to Samsung. I agree with you about damage. Even minor. I have had phones, like most of us, since the 90s. And every phone I've had, is still flawless, physically. How the hell do people scar up their phones so,so badly? And then try to resell them!! Aww, it works, but the screen is all scratched up, back is cracked, scruffs all over and dents. But I'll let it go for 200 bucks. Gee,,thanks. 🤨 Is it sooo worth having a brand name, that you're willing to pay a weeks pay for something that obviously shows, " I don't give a crap about my phone getting damaged"? Who knows how the mechanics are, if the outside looks like it's been run over by a truck and dragged too. No thanks.
Do not, I repeat, do not ever buy a refurbished phone. I bought a couple Amazon renewed phones and there’s a reason why they aren’t as good as factory manufactured phones. They open the devices and sometimes they clean and/or use parts that may not be original or new from the manufacturer. What this means in real world usage is parts may not work as they should. I had a Samsung S21 FE that was renewed from Amazon and using the phone on calls to the ear, there was literally no volume. I could barely hear the other person on the line and they couldn’t understand me either. Speakerphone was a little better but still not great. And I bought from two separate and highly rated refurbishers on Amazon so I could only imagine how bad the lower rated phones would’ve been. I’d recommend either buying only new phones or at least used/open box phones because refurbished is just too much of a risk.
Battery life so far is worse compared to my regular 6. Just rooted and slapped a custom kernel but honestly it's the modem that keeps the phone awake at idle killing it. Might try A16 soon ... Modem at least idk...suggestions?
I don’t like buying refurbished phones online. I remember about a year ago I purchased an iPhone 11 Pro through back market. Those guys were a real bunch of shysters 79% battery health ridiculous questions just to return the thing the phone itself overheated so much I had to put it in the refrigerator to cool it off Dents in the screen dings on the back I had to report them to Better Business Bureau just to get my money back and go through the credit card process. I would like to get one of these Google pixel as a work phone myself because I’m currently using a free Motorola that I got through track phone
definitely it's safer if you're going through a more reputable seller like Amazon renewed. I think they guarantee 85% battery health and even if they had more than that, I think you can return it within 90 days. no questions asked
@@y2spaceace yea bro its true backmarket phones battery health is awful i brought two phones from them s21+ is doin good i mean it doesnt have overheating issue but the battery drain is real and the s22+ is facing both problems :/

It does have a notoriously weak Samsung modem. It's one of the weak spots of the phone to be sure. some people have to suffice it to save. I don't have a SIM card in mine but when I did it was perfectly fine. maybe I'm just lucky or maybe it's my region or use case but some people did struggle with it
I just bought a p6p love it. I actually bought 2, the first one came with a weird screen issue where it had lag and the fingerprint scanner didnt work.
Sounds like a faulty screen replacement. I’ve seen that kind of stuff. That’s the one thing that worries me about these curved screens with under screen fingerprint readers. They seem like a nightmare to fix
@@GarrettCrespo yeah. I just got a refund and Amazon let me keep it. I turned it into one of those phone purchasing machines and got 80$ back. So TECHNICALLY picked up my 6 pro for 150$ or so. Personally even if they drop support on this phone I'll keep it until I break it. It's perfect and fast enough for everything I do.
It still drops off cell service for me every few months, but with that level of infrequency I’m thinking it has something to do with carrier updates and not the original bugs
