John Meadows is an American professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur with an intriguing story. While John now boasts a successful career as an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and fitness company owner, his journey towards the top was extremely difficult.
Growing up, John never met his father, and his mother died at an extremely young age. This meant John only had his grandmother to take care of him. When his grandmother tragically passed away in 1999, John was left alone without his family to support him.
As the years went by, John continued to face new adversities in his life. During his early days in bodybuilding, John suffered from a rare colon disease. After fighting the disease for several months, his colon burst - almost resulting in his death. Luckily, John was quickly rushed to an emergency room where his life was saved. After several months of recovery, John was finally back on his feet.
Coming back into bodybuilding, John used the very obstacles that almost cost him his life as ‘fuel’ to grow stronger. Ever since he recovered from the colon surgery, John has gone on to become a successful bodybuilder, entrepreneur, and inspiration for many people all over the world.

the fact that you are a bodybuilder at heart, but have so many different variables in your training is awesome to me. So many people get stuck in a box when it comes to training, but you show us its ok to step outside of that box and try it all ! By the way you have an impressive verticle jump.

Malek Malek we just call it "Franse Roosterbrood" in Afrikaans. But since our language used to be closer to dutch (and Flemish), we probably also used to name it something similar.

It's also known as 'poor knights' in some countries. It was a poor man's dessert, and the origin might have been in France 300-400 years ago. Also known as
'pain perdu' = lost bread :-)

Love this channel. I like the advice you give because of your experience. Completely real with it. Also I am doing legs today. Here's my workout, going to be sore after it.
    Squat- 5 x5 of 185, 225, 235, 245, 255 and 1 rep of 270 (Trying to reach 300 by mid-July)
Good Mornings- 5 x 5 (Trying this first time today)
Deadlift- 1RM (Going to figure out what that is and implement that into future workouts)
Leg Press- Going to do 8-12 reps upping weight each time until I can't go anymore than going to do drop sets all the way down.
    Leg Curls- 6 x 10
    Standing Calf Raises- 6 x10

Hey John Love your videos. I've been squatting for the past 7 years never had an injury or anything. But last month both my knees started to hurt when I squat even without weights....I know that if my knees go over my toes at the bottom of the lift this problem will happen. Anyways Box squatting feels easy on my knees and I couple it with deadlifts for hamstring and glutes. I'm doing this to let my knees rest and heal am I going at it the right way?
