It doesn’t surprise me at all honestly. The 275 gts Ferrari was designed for the 1965 model year by Pininfarina. That same year the first fiat 124 spider came out, also designed by the same guy. (Sadly he died a month before either car came out so he never actually got to see either one ever get sold). He wanted to design what came to be known as “the poor man Ferrari”. A car with all the style of a 1.5 million dollar sports car but with the price tag of a daily driver. And from a distance the two cars are nearly identical. Later, I don’t know what year it started but, at some point when they built the 2000s they gave them Ferrari steering wheels as a nod towards the original inspiration. So it would make sense that a lot of the parts are interchangeable. Alfa Romeo spiders from those years also use a lot of the same parts. There was even one factory that I know of that had fiats coming down one line and Ferrari down the other next to it. I have a picture of it if you want. The cars are so similar I couldn’t tell you which side is which though lol. It’s black and white and it’s at the frame stage of production. I came to this video looking for an ad for my 1800 version from 1975 but this commercial is close enough for my sister’s 2000 from 1981. I bet you never thought someone would leave you a comment ten years later hahaha.
I love the design of these old cars ... the Alfa Spyder also looked quite like this ... but also a Triumph convertible looked very quite as same to the Fiat Spider 2000
EPIC FAIL! im not fat, i have an i.q. of 107 and my classic car IS a fiat pinninfarina spider 2000 with leather interior. manual trans, carbeurator(not a fuel injected car) and i live in upstate new york. sorry you lose. lol. ive owned it since i was 18 and im now restoring it back to its original state. btw. mine was sold originally at don yenko porsche audi fiat. if you know the name yenko(camaro) you know why its special!
I used to own a '79 carb spider 2000. I now own a '78 Ferrari 308 and you'd be amazed at how many parts they share......
