    WOW - MEMORIES - I WAS A FIAT TECH FROM 1973 TO 1982 WEST COAST MOTORS SAN DIEGO - THEY WERE ACTUALLY A GREAT CAR THEY EARNED A BAD RAP FROM INDEPENDENTS THAT DID POOR WORKMANSHIP - THERE WERE ONLY A FEW DEALERS - I BUILT A HOT ROD FROM A 73 124 SPIDER - I HAD PLENTY OF ACCESS TO WARRANTY PARTS SO I BUILT A LATE MODEL 2.0 ENGINE FOR IT I HAD SCHNEIDER CAMS REGRIND THE CAMS AND MADE MY OWN HEADERS - ALSO HAD A DUAL CARB SETUP FROM A EUROPEAN 124 THAT MY CUSTOMER WAS TIRED OF TUNNING ALL THE TIME SO I TRADED HIM FOR A STOCK 2 BARREL SETUP I HAD THEN I HAD IT PAINTED CREME AND HAD A NICE TAN TOP I HAD WARRANTIED BECAUSE OF A TINY PIN HOLE IF YOU NEED HELP LET ME KNOW I STILL HAVE MANY SPECIAL TOOLS FOR THEM - TIP FOR YOU KEEP YOUR EYES ON THAT ELECTRONIC FUEL SOLENOID THEY COME LOOSE ALL THE TIME AND THEN THEY VIBRATE AND RUIN THE CARB - LOVE TO HAVE ONE AGAIN

    Nice Fiat 124. The older brother of a neighborhood friend of mine, back in the 70's, had a 124 coupe. We were still far from getting our driver's licenses, and only dreamed about driving that Fiat.

    Very nice. I still have the original 2 pronged fiat tool for holding the valve cup down for adjustment.

    If i remember right it was Fiat and german Glas that was the first cars whit this timing belt use

      Bill Devon was the first to use a timing belt in 1954. The Glas was the first production car and the Fiat was the first dohc to use one.
