God Bless you Josiah! Thanks for reminding us that not everyone is as fortunate and that we can do our part to help each other in even the smallest of gestures.
Thanks for your kind and willing hearts, Josiah and Vernon! You have shown us the least of what we can do. Singapore, as a united family, is an institution of compassion because it is there that we learn to live and grow with others.
Hey Josiah, it's really heartwarming to see people like you who does something fr the others out there. You say the human spirit can burn brighter, I definitely agree. Times like these are when everyone plays their part, give their helping hand, make the society a gracious one. Thank you. :)
very rational voice heard in the hazy time. What surprise me is his generous giving for the man in the street. I totally agree with his opinion: understand what cause the problem, how to solve it and less complain.
Thank you Josiah and your friends who are doing the deed along. It starts small and with this positive video it spreads out the love that you and your friends have for others, and inspiring and touching others and myself too. It is a wonderful video in a small way for a big warm touch. The hazy days are here to stay for a while, and we should help others who are not protecting themselves well.
Thank you for starting something alternative to a negative situation, the spirit of looking to the needs of others and helping each other in our community is definitely what we need now!! Here's to more people spreading the kindness!
I like this. A great way to show others how to care.... many too caught up in theit lives and had forgotten to show. Not that they dont have...just forgotten.
I like Mr Brown being cheeky in responding to the haze, and I like you being heartfelt: well done to you - humour (even a bit of self-mocking) and consideration for others are two highly valuable attributes for people, and a people.
Hey Josiah, it was heartwarming watching this video. I myself, gave a box of fruits and a post-it note to thank the security guards sitting out in the haze, and it caused a ripple effect of a bunch of us driving round the Hillview area distributing a boxful of liang tehs to security guards. It was amazing watching this and knowing that someone out there was doing the exact same thing as we were - maybe even at the same time. Thank you for making this video and for sharing it with the world :)
many blessings to you too! thank you Josiah! for this video, for what you doing , for what you will generate with this...touching and encouraging the seed of generosity and love in us
Hi Josiah, it was a very meaningful video u have made, struck a loving cord in my heart. Thank you for taking the time to reflect and think about the more unfortunate needy and extending a helping hand (it was indeed thought provoking and inspirational ) I'm sure you will be blessed for your good deeds, Namaste, Cheers to Josiah!!
Josiah i'm am touched by this. When time comes like this, though nothing much we can do, we can help those who are less fortunate than us. There's no point to keep blaming here and there about this cause what's important is sill getting through this. Well Done Josiah.
Ah yesterday I gave drinks to the construction workers outside my window! I'm glad that you're doing this for the people still outdoors and not in the protection of their homes/a sheltered place (as much protection as that can provide) Keep going! Thank you very much :)
How beautiful! I was in the midst of posting a grumpy facebook update about the haze but I changed my mind and posted your video instead. Thanks for the timely reminder that we're all in this together. :) God bless!!
You are such a good model for a kind soul who sets out to makes someone day. Thumbs up! I wished more people can be like you who is ever selfless to share,,,cheers!
God bless you and your family.. You truly deserve a award "for not being singaporen but being human" you truly opened many eyes in this country and hope everyone including me will continue doing a helping hand to the people out there who are unfortunate.. once again god bless you and your family and friends who made this video..
you're an inspiration to me. For me, and I believe for many other people as well, one of our goals in life is to touch as many people's hearts as possible.but often we're so distracted with our own personal affairs such that we forget these things, or we feel like we don't have the opportunity to help others. Your "While..." videos are reminders of these goals, shows how there is always an opportunity to do something for each other, even in the smallest ways, and shows the meaning of being human
Thank you for doing this. It's a good reminder on doing what is positive and constructive when struck with a situation we absolutely don't like. Kudos!
really touched and encouraged. thank you for restoring my faith and hope in fellow singaporeans. All I see on my fb feed are just rants, complaints, blaming and just generally angry keyboard warriors with super high sense of entitlement. Then I saw your video, and it made my day. And I am encouraged to do the same. God Bless you :)
Good job Josiah! Proud that Singaporeans like you and your friends are doing great job in contributing what you can do despite that there are limited resources. I believe that we will go through this tough period as a big family! This video will be
Thanks for inspiring us and being a spark in the community even in these bleaker days of haze. Pls wear masks and keep in good health yourselves to bless others.
I'm glad to see what you are doing. Continue the positive attitude and helping people. I'm tired of listening to complains around me but STILL not doing anything. Action speaks louder than words.. Right?
Good Job Man. Times like this is when I stand proud and tall to say I am a Singaporean and we have a never say die attitude. Thumbs up and hopefully many more Singaporeans can for once be less selfish and think about the more unfortunate ones. May God bless you.
Hey man! You acts of generosity has impacted us and inspired a friend of mine to organise something similar to what you've done. You are truly an inspiration to others dude! Continue the acts of kindness you're portraying and God bless buddy!
I just felt that i should share this on my FB after seeing alot of my frens post abt the haze, wearing mask in their comfy office. But none doing anything meaningful or showing humanity at this critical period. Thank you and your frens for doing all these..Keep it up!
Mad respect for you guys for doing such kind act! I'm proud to know that they are such kind, warm and caring Singaporeans such as you guys out there. Keep up the good work!
Teared up watching this. Thank you for the reminder that ultimately it is uo to us to make a difference and change bleak situations into hopeful ones. Thank you for giving us hope, and spreading the love and happiness in times like this :')
This is so beautiful to watch :) I'm from Malaysia and I can really identify with the hazy conditions but it's really heartwarming to see how instead of sitting back and complaining about it you guys are turning this into an opportunity to spread love. This really made my day and inspires me to do the same! God bless!
It could be self-serving to you but what I see is more to awaken others... It helps in a way to touch other people's heart in realizing how lucky most of us are
We need people like you in the government who act instead of talk. They only have meetings behind close doors. Our leaders ease our worries by assuring there are enough masks through talking, and you mention you can't get any supplies of N95 masks through real actions. Thank you very much! I'm going to learn from you, through action!
Hi Josiah, thank you for doing good on our behalf. It's people like you who make Singapore a better place and make us forget how ugly some other Singaporeans can be in contrast to your acts of kindness. People who comment about how doing good doesn't need publicity in a form of a video -- sorry you may have misunderstood Josiah but he is trying to use social media to spread the word of kindness and suggest that we try to help those in need if we have extra supplies too. Good example to follow.
Simple yet heartwarming video. Reminds me of those days doing a similar video for my uni project in NUS. Surely this video clip can win an impact award!
I'm really touched but the efforts you've made to help those who are overlooked by society, thumbs up! Really made me reflect on myself too, we tend to forget others amidst the hustle and bustle of life...
Thank you for making this video and for sharing your thoughts! :) your actions, love, care and concern for others is truly inspiring. :') God bless you and your buddy! May He continue to use you mightily to bless all those around you! :))
He is right. Our human beings' selfishnesses could bring troubles to others. Do the thing that we can do. Don't smoke in the public. Give the seat to the people who need it more. ...
Thank you so much for doing this guys. It's so nice to see the kind and compassionate side of Singapore- a side that I can be proud of. Been seeing far too much angst and aggression around me recently. Will be sure to do my part to help too! =)

Thank you for sharing this meaningful video of how one can still do a little for others in time of needs. Well done! Something really puzzled me is that why some are still clicking "dislike" :(
