The most amazing part of this is that Christian's wife was ok with being touched. She didn't know the two men at all but because Christian had full trust in them, she did too.
So touching, after all that time he still remembered and loved the people that saved him. Its also just as amazing that the wild female lioness who probably had never seen humans up close before immediately trusted them following Christian's lead, it was like "well if they're good enough for you honey... they're good enough for me!"
I was about to type the same as King Arthur. All the lions in his pride had known humans. The male who was in charge before him killed one of the guys who helped take care of Christian. They were lions who had had interactions with people but they were still lions.
Oh my God I stopped crying and was just skimming through the comments and saw this... Ugh I thought the same things now I'm turning into a mushy teary puddle again. *has free hugs for all* \(;~;)/
"The day will come when man will learn the depth of animals. In this day, a crime committed against an animal wil be considered a crime against the humanity".(Leonardo da Vinci).
Actually, that quote is falsely attributed. However, we do have textual evidence that Leonardo da Vinci really did love and respect animals and was in fact a vegetarian. So even though those words were put into the artist's mouth a few centuries after his life, the sentiment they convey is still true.
My mom showed me this video years ago and I saw the tears in her eyes when she watched it again with me. I was young and even my eyes watered. Glad I was able to stumble upon it again. Memories...
I actually saw Christian in Harrods pet department not long before the two Australians bought him. He was a gorgeous little cub. I'm so glad they got him released back to Africa with the help of the Born Free Foundation.
I saw this as a kid on TV and I can vividly remmember their reunion at the end. I have to say that that is one of the biggest forms of animal and human bond and gratitude I have ever seen.
I've always loved how at around 55 seconds his mouth just opens, almost like his jaw is dropping in shock. Such a touching video, will never get tired of watching it.
I’ve seen this video footage a hundred times and every single time I see it, I cry!! Such pure love between man and animal! It’s so touching beyond any words can describe (just as there are no words between them as well!) 😭😭😭
This never fails to move me so deeply. The affection between the lion and his saviours is so pure and so complete. The Aerosmith track is perfect for the film as well. Lovely. x
I'm a grandma now & knew this story from years ago...no other wildlife story has touched me as deeply as this one. My heart fills with faith & love in this story
What a beautiful video, thanks for creating a long lasting memory. Saw this for the first time with my family when I was 7-8 years old, I'm 23 now. Thanks :)
I cry every time I watch this video...I shared it on Facebook years ago and it just popped up as one of my 5yr memories...This is beautiful...I wonder how they’re doing today
i saw zoey's vlog that brought me here. I honestly thought they were overreacting by the way they were crying. Now I see this video and i'm now drowning in my own tears. What a beautiful video
So glad i finally found this site. Was trying to tell a friend about this lion all I could remember was that two guys bought him at a store in London many years ago. So heart warming. What a cat!
Take note:- when you treat any animal when love and respect, it will give love and respect back. Even animals of different species will love and respect each other. Why can't Humans do the same? Why is it so difficult? Ultimately deep down inside, we are all the same.
this video has made me cry more than any other youtube video. countless times, countless tears. this is truly an amazing story that fills me with warmth and happiness and the people of our world have turned away from this kind of joy and experiences mostly because they’re too lazy to do much with their life. sad
To this day I'm never ever at a loss of tears when watching the story of Christian the lion from a department store. The story of this lion is the best evidence of the everlasting power and effect of love 💕
One of the most beautiful touching and loving emotional act between a wild creature and humans. Animals feel pain and love just like us. God please be with all the creatures 💕
My brother and I 'met' Christian! We were teenagers and with my mother in the car when she visited a garden centre just outside a town called Reigate, Surrey, in Britain ...and as we drove in and round the back there was one of the boys playing and rolling about on the lawn at the back there with Christian! Needless to say it was a great treat of a surprise! He was lovely ...about 'medium' cub size :)
So this was in my memories on facebook, I had shared it a year ago. I had posted that I can't believe I'm such a baby, this makes me cry. Well again makes me cry. Thank you for this beautiful video. I am sharing again.
This always brings me tears. I read their amazing book about the bond they all had. Now, I live just down the road from where they lived. As a child, my boyfriend actually met Christian in the shop. I love hearing that story!
I LOVE THIS VIDEO! I revisited it tonight after seeing it many years ago. Animals seem to always remember those who loved them in deep and unusual ways. However, they did take a real chance. There was a real risk there. Sometimes with wild animals, their instincts become greater than any loyalty they have to you. I learned this from having wolves for pets years ago. I do have some really great pictures with them, though.
This video makes me cry every time. So beautiful to see that animals have emotions and love like us. Such a shame that lions are endangered now because of poaching and those horrible trophy hunters. We should protect all wildlife and cherish it.
My grandma passed away recently, and she showed me this video when I was little girl. We continued to watch the video again throughout the years, & now I watch it to remember her, because she loved this video
I can't tell you how many times I've watched this but I still cry everytime! The best moment for me is when Christian's mouth drops open when he recognized them.
Whenever I lose faith in humanity, I take refuge in this part of TH-cam
ME
I would say faith in animals...
Pradeep Bhatt AMEN. ❤️

To wife, they alright. Trust. All cool.
I think that lioness use to being around humans too even though she didn’t know Christian owners
Look at the big smiles on these guys’ faces. You can’t see any fear or worries on the faces, but the delight to see their little baby again.
Christian: "What... the... ohmygodOHHMYGODOHMYGOOOD!!! DAAAADDIEEEEEEES!!!!!!! HEY HONEY, COME QUICK MY DADS ARE HERE!!!"
So touching, after all that time he still remembered and loved the people that saved him.

Andrew Tornadoboy aww
We all have to pretend that we like our in-laws doesn't matter if you're are a lion or human;)
s.lena lol
Christian lived near a sanctuary where a number of rescued lions lived. I doubt she had never had contact with humans before
I was about to type the same as King Arthur. All the lions in his pride had known humans. The male who was in charge before him killed one of the guys who helped take care of Christian. They were lions who had had interactions with people but they were still lions.
Who else is coming back to this in 2020??
Here.

Yay!
Yep!!
😭🙋♀️
The lion is like "Where the hell did you guys go?" "I missed you guys, give me a hug me a hug, you two. Here meet my wife"
Yep
O don't think they want to meet his wife 😁😁
Actually they do lol
Music made this video awesome 😁😁😁
And they said that he wouldn't remember them, love has no boundaries
after all these years this is still the single best video on you tube.
I didn't cry, but this was literally one of the cutest things on TH-cam *wipes non-existent tears from eyes*
I showed this to my dad....my dad is a biker and a veteran. This was the first time I had ever seen him cry tears of joy.
Megan Anderson So awesome
Omg ❤
The moment he realised who they are, tears streaming!! OMG
Lissy LuxxI can imagine up until then. Who the heck is that? Wait... could it really be? Oh my god, yes. * starts running *
Oh my God I stopped crying and was just skimming through the comments and saw this... Ugh I thought the same things now I'm turning into a mushy teary puddle again. *has free hugs for all* \(;~;)/

True
And now we are living in Covid hell. Because we royally stitched up animals. Still love this video though. X
Raphael Nether thats a lie
@@RoonJazz Sadly....yes. If we humans do not learn to respect animals we will disappear from the face of this earth
i haven't watched this in 4 years and i'm still crying over it
Same!!!! It gets me every time
came back on 2024. more than 10 years since i first watched it the first time as a kid but it still felt the same.. i wonder how christian is now.. ❤❤

Bisognerebbe avere lo stesso tipo di amore anche verso: i maiali, mucche, pecore, conigli, cavalli, pesci, crostacei. etc... e non mangiarli..
Zoe brought me here. :') It's so amazing to see how an animal get so close to his guardian
This never fails to move me so deeply. The affection between the lion and his saviours is so pure and so complete. The Aerosmith track is perfect for the film as well. Lovely. x

Chuck Norris disliked this video 797 times because it is the only thing that can make him cry
Chuck Norris is pure and would never do such a thing.
People probably disliked the video because of the shite music dubbed over it. Something so real and good, overdubbed with something so fake and bad.
The year is 2024, and this video STILL makes me cry. No matter how many times I have seen it.
Zoe...thanks for making me cry😰
That's The Cutest Thing EVER

Bruh thats cuz when u go against ur instincts things can go wrong, horribly wrong sometimes
Because we stupidly think being called an animal is an insult
So beautiful 😥❤❤❤❤❤🤗
24bln chickens a year in superfarms. Still kinda astray from that philosophy.
