I wish other Phone Manufacturer will compete with Iphone 12 MIni, not all of the people wants a huge phone, some of us really love small phone.. writing this on my Iphone SE 1st Gen
I had a 5S and then two SE2016s. Just upgraded to the 12 mini this week and I’m loving it. When I want a big screen I use my iPad or my iMac. A phone I want to be small and portable. The 12 mini fits the bill.
I LOVE the size of the 12 mini. I've been waiting for a phone this size with a full screen. I'm switching from the 11pro. It'll be here tomorrow. Can't wait! 🙌🏼
Dude for real, I miss not realizing my phone is in my pocket. It should be almost invisible. I also miss not stabbing my leg when I get up or out of/into my car.

Although, I really wish they would go the extra mile and make an iPhone 12 mini pro, something that has the full maxed out features but still in a smaller footprint! botanicals it would at that point simply be based upon what physical size you prefer and nothing else... which honestly is exactly how phones should be made for consumers. So that way we all can get the best phone catered to our personal size preference :-) it would be a slam dunk for Apple!!! Fingers crossed they actually do something like this! watching this on my iPhone 12 mini, this is a very very good review. for me personally the speakers are crystal clear and loud, also I have had this phone phone for 5 months and would class my self as a moderate to high user(sitting playing candy crush all day). the battery life has dropped to 99% and I can take it off charge each morning and still be in double digits around 11pm( i do charge my phone each night but sometimes if i lightly use it, i can get 2 days before charging again)

I’m a big guy at 6 ft 1 and 280lb with large hands and I LOVE my new mini. I traded in my XS Max today and couldn’t be happier. I was fed up with carrying the Max around and feeling like it was a brick in my pocket. I have to carry a second phone for my job so scaling down to the mini for my personal phone was ideal. I’m not concerned about battery as I’m always docking my phone in my vehicle or on my workstation and never far from power. Overall its a wonderful feeling to not have a big heavy hunk of metal and glass in my pocket when i leave the house, i watch movies on my IPad Pro and dont game on mobile devices so this was a perfect fit. Good review you nailed all the major issues.
This review is spot on. It’s truly telling what you needed in daily use and with a IPhone 12 mini, you get both good performance and a acceptable size in your pocket. I came from a IPhone 8, and I am very satisfied with my new 12 mini 👍☺️
Got this for my son. I'm a diehard Galaxy user, but...you've got a great style, candor, and presence. Very professionally done...I may actually consider this after watching.
This phone is perfect for minimalist users, the ones that don't really game that much, watch videos in 4k, or even use 5G(like it exists in your area anyway), so the battery is just enough for these types of people, but then again, the phone is as powerful as the rest but way cheaper.
It’s only £100.00 cheaper then the 12 I use the mini the same as I used the XR the battery is great Am paying £700.00 for mine the 12 is £800.00 not much Difference in price
All of a sudden, I'm falling in love with the iPhone 12 mini after seeing it in personal today and also after seeing this review. I also loved the iPhone 12 Pro Max today, was so cool.
I upgraded from an iphone 7 to an iphone 12, tried to get used to the new size with more real estate but couldn’t, and disappointed that I can’t do one handed operations as well as I could on the 7, didn’t think before that it would affect me much. Quickly began to hate it. Almost too sad thinking what I have done and how my next few years will be with a phone I didn’t like. Not used to doing returns but it was after the 14 day period a week ago anyways and so I was thinking to sell it off. Called Apple and they were happy to assist with my return. Very lucky, next level service, you pay what you get. Went down to apple store the same day to return my iphone12 and collect the mini. Love it, the oled screen, camera, bezel less design, how it fits in my hand. Sure batt might not be as great, that’s why we carry powerbanks when we need and if I need to do work and watch vids, I use my iPad anyways. Just amazing iphone12 mini.
I’ve been using my iPhone 6 since 2015 & have been looking to finally get a new phone. Although I’ve been holding off on changing because despite the horrible battery time & some hiccups, it’s been working well still. But after seeing various reviews on the iPhone 12 mini, I think I’ll get this one. Plus, I loved the smaller iPhone 4 because it was so small. Thanks for the review!

I got the 11 pro max because the small pro wasn't in stock. I'm not crazy about the size and weight, but I love the battery life. I'm a sahm, so it's not like I need it when I have access to chargers around the house and have several power banks that haven't been used much haha I'm considering going with the 12 mini for the size and easy one-handed use.
Booked the mini yesterday after much thought. I can happily trade the battery life for its small form factor. No one discusses how much smartphones have become an addiction into our daily lives and still we long for more battery and immersive big screen. Time now that other manufacturers also recognise this customer segment.
Great video - it has convinced me to get the Mini. I'm hoping Apple makes a Pro Mini so we can have a telephoto lens on the smallest size. Science and technology - go do your thing and make this possible!
I almost skipped on the iphone 12 mini out of concern for the battery life. After going back and forth for days, I ultimately took the dive when I took into account how my day is configured. On average, my day consists of: a) 30% at work (desk job) b) 10% inside my vehicle c) 10% running errands (away from a charging set-up) d) 50% at home. Of course, there will eventually be an occasional day out of the norm. For those days, I will carry a portable battery charger. Glad I got the mini as I am not a fan of large cell phones.

Same here, I had the 8 Plus for three years now and I always thought a small phone would be much better to use. Apart from that, the display is still nearly the same size.
I’ve had an iPhone 8 Plus, and gave it to my wife so now I have the iPhone XR. Don’t get me wrong they’re great phones and battery life is great. But I also miss smaller phones, so last year I bought an iPhone SE (2016) off Amazon for $125 and I love the size! I switch often between the SE and XR but I also want the FULL SCREEN so I’m gonna get the iPhone 12 Mini in green soon!
I just switched from the Pixel 9 Pro XL to the iPhone 12 mini, (I have owned every iPhone since the first iPhone 2G, so I'm not new to iPhones) and I have to say I LOVE this little phone! I don't love the battery life (I bought mine use in excellent condition near mint condition actually...but the battery is at 85% health [which is normal] ) but when battery tech actually improves to the point where we can get a day or two or three in a phone this size, this might be the perfect size!
Pretty accurate how you matched the ka-chingg sound effect to the chargers, none coming in the box lol. Apple's way of watching out for the environment... their financial environment. Thanks for the review... I'll be trading in my iphone 7 for a mini =)
Android user for the past 9-10 years and switched to iPhone 12 Mini just because of the bold concept of packaging a flagship into such a small case, and because I simply got bored of Android not updating OS in my region, not even with the flagships I had. I've had the Mini for 2 weeks now and I love it, being able to control your phone with one hand is just remarkable and iOS is phenomenal, super fluid and pretty on that OLED. I don't miss Android customization (yet). Battery life has been great to me, at the end of the days I still have at least 15-20%, and according to the iOS statistics feature, I do 6-7 hours of screen time daily. I play a FPS almost daily for at least 30-40 minutes, take Teams/Zoom work calls, watch lots of videos and do some social media too. However, TBH, I wish I had a larger screen sometimes but only when playing the FPS game or when watching a movie/series on the phone (which I rarely do, done it once so far with the Mini). I will definitely consider upgrading to the regular size option in 2022, as I plan to keep this one for a year at least.

I just bought one. Last phone was iPhone 7 Plus. I liked the bigger screen because I could see it. But I was not wild about the size in my pocket. My new iPhone 12 mini has almost the same screen size in a much smaller package. Win win.

I have a mini. There are plenty of videos here on TH-cam that show how to turn off needless settings to maximize battery life. Once I did that, I EASILY get through a day with above average use.
I went from an iPhone 11 to the 12 mini and don’t regret it at all. The battery isn’t that bad, the speakers are plenty loud to me, and it doesn’t compromise on the other specs. It has a brilliant OLED screen, the A14 Bionic chip so it’s fast, great camera, it charges fast with the 20 watt charger, it supports the MagSafe charger, equipped with 5G, and it feels so good and comfortable in the hands, no struggling to one hand text or reach every part of the screen. Plus it comes in a range of colors.

@@kisakion I’ve had my 12 Mini 7 months and am really pleased with its performance. Battery life is excellent, for how I use it. Checking emails, WhatsApp & texts, and an hour or two on calls, with an average screen time of 3 to 5 hours a day, battery life can comfortably last 2 days.
Just switched to a mini from a 12 Pro and I'm MUCH happier with the mini. No longer do I have to carry an aircraft carrier in my front jeans pocket. None of the other compromises bother me at all.. it's been all win/win.
UPS has messed up my iPhone mini experience. I have an iPhone 8 and I’ve always wanted an lightweight, blue, and OLED screen iPhone for years now! I hope to get my iPhone in a few days, if UPS doesn’t return it back to Apple.

Great video - it has convinced me to get the Mini. I'm hoping Apple makes a Pro Mini so we can have a telephoto lens on the smallest size. Science and technology - go do your thing and make this possible!
I almost skipped on the iphone 12 mini out of concern for the battery life. After going back and forth for days, I ultimately took the dive when I took into account how my day is configured. On average, my day consists of:
a) 30% at work (desk job)
b) 10% inside my vehicle
c) 10% running errands (away from a charging set-up)
d) 50% at home.
Of course, there will eventually be an occasional day out of the norm. For those days, I will carry a portable battery charger. Glad I got the mini as I am not a fan of large cell phones.

Same here, I had the 8 Plus for three years now and I always thought a small phone would be much better to use. Apart from that, the display is still nearly the same size.
I’ve had an iPhone 8 Plus, and gave it to my wife so now I have the iPhone XR. Don’t get me wrong they’re great phones and battery life is great. But I also miss smaller phones, so last year I bought an iPhone SE (2016) off Amazon for $125 and I love the size! I switch often between the SE and XR but I also want the FULL SCREEN so I’m gonna get the iPhone 12 Mini in green soon!

I just switched from the Pixel 9 Pro XL to the iPhone 12 mini, (I have owned every iPhone since the first iPhone 2G, so I'm not new to iPhones) and I have to say I LOVE this little phone! I don't love the battery life (I bought mine use in excellent condition near mint condition actually...but the battery is at 85% health [which is normal] ) but when battery tech actually improves to the point where we can get a day or two or three in a phone this size, this might be the perfect size!

Android user for the past 9-10 years and switched to iPhone 12 Mini just because of the bold concept of packaging a flagship into such a small case, and because I simply got bored of Android not updating OS in my region, not even with the flagships I had.
I've had the Mini for 2 weeks now and I love it, being able to control your phone with one hand is just remarkable and iOS is phenomenal, super fluid and pretty on that OLED. I don't miss Android customization (yet).
Battery life has been great to me, at the end of the days I still have at least 15-20%, and according to the iOS statistics feature, I do 6-7 hours of screen time daily. I play a FPS almost daily for at least 30-40 minutes, take Teams/Zoom work calls, watch lots of videos and do some social media too.
However, TBH, I wish I had a larger screen sometimes but only when playing the FPS game or when watching a movie/series on the phone (which I rarely do, done it once so far with the Mini). I will definitely consider upgrading to the regular size option in 2022, as I plan to keep this one for a year at least.

I just bought one. Last phone was iPhone 7 Plus. I liked the bigger screen because I could see it. But I was not wild about the size in my pocket. My new iPhone 12 mini has almost the same screen size in a much smaller package. Win win.

I have a mini. There are plenty of videos here on TH-cam that show how to turn off needless settings to maximize battery life. Once I did that, I EASILY get through a day with above average use.

I went from an iPhone 11 to the 12 mini and don’t regret it at all. The battery isn’t that bad, the speakers are plenty loud to me, and it doesn’t compromise on the other specs. It has a brilliant OLED screen, the A14 Bionic chip so it’s fast, great camera, it charges fast with the 20 watt charger, it supports the MagSafe charger, equipped with 5G, and it feels so good and comfortable in the hands, no struggling to one hand text or reach every part of the screen. Plus it comes in a range of colors.
Battery phone cases are going to sell like hot cakes for this phone.
Oh yeah, they could easily make 1000 mah powerbank on the back and boom.

Maybe but then you lose it's size and weight advantage so if you need more battery iPhone 11/XR are way better ideas.

@@kisakion I’ve had my 12 Mini 7 months and am really pleased with its performance. Battery life is excellent, for how I use it. Checking emails, WhatsApp & texts, and an hour or two on calls, with an average screen time of 3 to 5 hours a day, battery life can comfortably last 2 days.

Just switched to a mini from a 12 Pro and I'm MUCH happier with the mini. No longer do I have to carry an aircraft carrier in my front jeans pocket. None of the other compromises bother me at all.. it's been all win/win.

UPS has messed up my iPhone mini experience. I have an iPhone 8 and I’ve always wanted an lightweight, blue, and OLED screen iPhone for years now! I hope to get my iPhone in a few days, if UPS doesn’t return it back to Apple.
Would you say you have small to medium hands? I’m literally writing this on my iPhone 5s and have been holding out for a smaller phone, but it still seems to be a little bigger. Will I be disappointed or is it nearly identical to the 5S in how it feels? Thank you so much!

Nice review. I’m using a power bank when I need more hours from my iPhone X. Don’t see the battery life as a don’t buy signal. 80% of the time I want a small and powerful phone.
If you need longer battery life just turn of 5G and get 20% more.
