I currently have the 12 pro and I also have the original SE for work and my goodness, what a tiny phone compared to what’s out today. The entire phone is smaller than the screen of the 12 pro itself.
I’ve been using my new 12 mini for almost a week now. I used to have a 7 plus which served me well for a bit but geez three years of holding that giant body and my hands have gotten stiff. I’m of the opinion that pop sockets are a solution to a problem we never should have had from the start. Even though I know it’s really risky. I just feel so powerful holding this tiny beast of a phone and it’s just so lovely. I’ll also mention I haven’t had much of a problem with battery life; battery is way better than an iPhone 7 Plus that’s been charged for three years, I can tell it has limits though. But generally it only costs me 10% battery on my hour long trip to work every day compared to the 50% battery lost on my 7 plus. Last thing I’ll mention is that notch; this is gonna sound weird but despite this being my first iPhone with a notch, I don’t find myself noticing it all that much. It might actually be that because the notch takes up more of the top of the screen, I end up noticing it...less? The cutouts for the time and control center being smaller mean they are less noticeable as well which makes the top of the screen just look like one thick bezel. Does it get that edge-to-edge look that people crave? Eh...maybe not 100% so but I’ll take 3/4 edges over having a chin with a home button at this point.

me too
thinking the same thing!!!!!
Much more interested in the difference between the mini and the standard. I don’t consume media much on my phone but I do take pics, check email, scan and sign etc. I would particularly appreciate a smaller phone for the pocket!

😹😹good one
The mini and ios 14 is the first phone that'll bring me back. I've been an Android guy for a decade, having had 3gs, se, and the X for all of a month.
Finally feels like Apple is playing its strengths again.
Im kinda old school, I like the iPhone 12 Mini. it's Blast from the past~
I just bought the mini I think 🤔 its size works better for me as I’m on the go for work all the time
How is the battery life for you ?
@@GreyJedi17 decent but 5G kills it
Is it just me or does it look like he’s in the batcave from the Batman trilogy
Yup, can’t wait for him to unbox a ‘Tumbler’ that’ll be a hell of a good video.
you're definitely not the only one
No wonder they out of stock still, this msn buying all if them 😂
Don’t bother commenting first...
The bots are always first.
Always...
yeah i’ve never been early enough to realize haha
U got a point
The bots come in 30 seconds before the video posts...
Yeah that’s why if I know I’m before the other people I still say I am first
Thats something a Bot would say. 🧐🧐
I love my mini. Some people say its really small, but i think the screen size really makes up for it. If you have an iphone 8 plus, the 12 mini screen is almost the exact same size. The camera is fantastic. My only complaint is the battery. I would totally recommend this phone.
I went from the 10s max to the SE and now I want a 12 mini. I think other companies are going to follow apple and offer smaller phones. After the initial day or two of getting used to such a small screen I actually like it better now
I just know the entrance to his office is through a storage crate
I understood that reference
That looks like Batman’s basement or whatever from “the dark knight” lmao
I went to the iPhone 12 mini it is so nice to have a flagship device that is the size I have been looking for. Love it and yes one hand use is amazing
I was confused on which one to get so I’m trying them all. I’m liking the mini so far.
Lew: "Why do I badly want the MINI's"
EVERYONE: "Literally hasn't bought BOTH"
Pacific blue is just perfect! PERFECT. 😍
I swear I miss having a smaller phone, this 12 pro max requires more than one hand to operate efficiently 😂🤦🏾♂️
I feel like everyone is super excited about the mini, but in the end no one buys the mini
Me being super excited about it and then ended up with the regular 12
You'd be surprised, there's a large chunk of Iphone users that don't want a huge device. They need a small compact device that's powerful
My red mini gets here Friday!! So pumped. I use a 6s right now so I will get a slightly smaller phone with a slightly bigger screen bc no bezels. And my 6s was the generation with atrocious battery life so the mini will def be at least a little better in that dept. 1 hand typing mini master race!!
@@ro00o33 Amen! 6s owner here; already replaced the battery once! All these reviewers talkin about the 'meh' battery life on the mini; Im thinkin, "thats 4x greater then I get now"
I got the 12 simply because I needed a new phone and I would have to wait two weeks extra for the mini. If they had launched at the same time I would have gotten the mini.
I can't unsee the pink now on the white mini 🤯
I have the 12 mini in green and came from the iPhone 8+ so I was excited to upgrade
Yeah that’s lit what I’m stuck on 😩 I love how 12 mini feels in my hand but I love the bigger screen to instantly watch videos it gives off a better experience
Get an iPad mini for at home use
I actually love the features you get in that size. It’s one of a kind
Next video: "why I don't like the iPhone 12 mini"
Well...he doesn't review phones/anything for a while now.

@@AdityaSingh-cl7qe nice!
Pacific blue is so clean/sophisticated looking.
Watching this on my iPhone mini. Finally I don’t feel like I’m carrying a brick lol.
Father: lets buy the smallest one son Mini
Son: shows the price
Father:try little bigger
huh
I paid handsomely to get that compact size
Sorry Lew but a case without proper bottom protection is a serious no-no for me.
Yup. I thought the exact same thing. That was a bad choice.
Agreed! Too many scratches!
His case is also so much thinner than other cases and i don’t like that i feel it is not protecting my phone at all
@@appletopic Yeah i bought the case and returned its kinda crappy its so expensive and the protection is wack. mainly designed like if you want size of your phone to stay the same but its still overpriced for that aswell. overall 3/10 since it does feel nice and looks okay
@@exchange8437 trust me any generic $10 case lasts about two years for me
If you already have a tab/ipad, there's no reason to have a phone with large screen.
Exactly that’s why I got the iPhone min instead of any of the other models.
Hey Lew, I am a huge fan of yours from a remote part of India. I watch all of your videos and love each of them. Your type of communication with us (viewers) seems very genuine. God bless you. Hope you get billion of subscribers.
It literally is an iphone 11 and an iphone se had a baby, thats why i love it
Taking price out of the equation, I would still pick the Mini (and I did). I got tired of larger phones falling out of my scrub pockets at work all the time and being cumbersome in my pockets when out doing activities. I wanted the smallest/lightest phone with the most features and Apple delivered. Also nice that this design reminds me of my old iPhone 5 which was probably my favorite design on an iPhone until the new models. There is just something about the square bodied phones that feels right...if you know what I'm saying.
Planing to buy iphone 12 pro but,,,, dude!!!!! You convinced me to switch 12 mini
Winner!

Apple in the middle of a pandemic: 5 models, endless colors, not much change and no charger. That will be an arm and a leg

Just bought 12mini today. Can't put in words how happy I'm🤩🥰
I need a iPhone 12 mini because at work I don’t like having a big phone in my pocket.
I got the a flip for one of that reason. Benefit of carrying the smallest feeling phone in pockets and being able to open up and use the biggest phone I ever owned
