I went from the iPhone 11 to the iPhone 12 mini and I have no complaints at all. I’ve enjoyed the change from a bigger phone to a smaller phone. I thought I would have had a problem in the change but I didn’t realize how much I missed a small form factor phone till I switched I hope they keep the line going for this year instead of discontinuing the line!
@@peacewithtech well in the beginning it was great you couldn’t tell the difference. After a half year of use obviously the battery went down on health then the 12 mini didn’t last as long like it did when it was brand new. Even though the iPhone 11 has a 3110 mah battery and the iPhone 12 mini has a 2227 mah battery the mini did a great job at keeping up but like all things it ages but the mini still is a great small phone.

Watching this on my 12 mini. Upgraded from iphone 6 and i am absolutely loving this phone! Mini but mighty. A single full charge can easily get me through 24 hours with 5 hours of screen time. I charged 100% at 9am and my battery were about 15% at 9am the next day!
@@alien8982 i casually using my phone. Watch youtube, scroll social media. However, I don’t play games nor using camera and videos that much. Most of the time I spend my time on whatsapp and youtube.
@Damien Sanchez I always charge my phone when my battery down to 30% and charge to 100%. So far it didnt detriment my battery health that much. Ive done this since my iphone 6 and I’ve used that phone for 6 years and my battery health is still 80+

@@xobriina I've still got my iPhone SE. I like smaller phones. That looks like the iPhone 5. I had the iPhone 12 mini a couple of years ago. It's been a while since I had it but I'm pretty sure it's quite larger. At the time the 12 mini was my largest phone with my 4s being my smallest. I've got my 2016 SE and a 2018 galaxy note 9 which came free with my TV. I sent back my 12 mini in 2021 because the call reception was poor. It kept dropping signal and I barely got more than 1 out of 4 bars. They are quite cheap now. I just bought a refurbished one which should be with me in a few days. With any luck they've fixed the problems I was having when I had one a few years ago.
I don’t know why I watch all of your videos. I am perfectly happy/satisfied with my lavender iPhone 11 and plan to use it until I literally can’t anymore. 🤷🏽♀️
@Hayden Carver Because a person who earns is much more likely to upgrade than a person who's broke. Of course, even a few billionaires use relatively old phones, and even a few broke people go beyond their means. But for the most part, iPhone 7 users in 2021 have a much higher chance of being broke than others.
I love my android phone and it only cost me $150. It does everything I need, so I'm pleased how much money I have been able to save not buying an expensive phone.
All I know is I just got my 12mini and just watched the movie “Greyhound” on Apple TV on it. Which takes place largely in the dark. And the OLED display made ALL the difference. I was so impressed
I got the 12 mini and my wife got the 11. Super similar devices. The face recognition is noticeably faster on the 12 mini, and the weight is also dramatically different. The bigger display on the 11 beats the sharper but smaller display on the mini.

I went from an XR to a 12 Mini and I definitely noticed an improvement in reception, but it's not a huge difference. I can't speak on 5G because we don't have it in our area but the Mini will be ready if and when 5G becomes actually worth using
@@denisnovakov3042 I’ve seen a couple battery drain test on TH-cam involving these two phones as well as others and the XR was a little better, but I would have thought the difference would be greater considering the massive size difference between these two phones. In my personal experience I haven’t noticed any difference. Since I rarely use my phones speakers I can’t speak on that

@@idk-hh1uw what do you mean transportation? What I can tell you is that the battery dies decently fast so if you’re going to have a long flight make sure you bring a charger cable and/or a portable charger.
Went from 11 to 12 mini but then switched back as i found it difficult to type quickly on the 12 mini due to a squished keyboard. Also the ability to watch video on a bigger screen trumps a small sized video. The build is better on the 12 mini and it is much lighter and easier to handle though. Edit: i have now switched to the12 mini as my iphone 11 became unusable due to severe ghost touch issues. 12 mini Phone build is better and you get ised to the size after a few days.

My upgrade is from an Iphone SE 2 to an Iphone 11. I love the phone. I really do. For the longest I wanted an IPhone 12 mini, but can’t afford an extra fifty dollars for warranty on it. I gone ahead and watched about the 11. I don’t regret it, but I definitely needed to see the video to see on how far back the iPhone 11 is from the 12 mini. Thank you for explaining. It really did help me out.
so basically, you have to know what are you looking for to pick one of these iphones, for example, if ur looking for a better battery life i would definitely recommend the iphone 11, but if ur going fo ra nice display and less lagging device with a better camera, it goes for the 12 mini, but after all, the battery life isnt really a problem, it will give you a 5 or 6 hours on the iphone 12 mini if u rjust watching youtube videos or using social media or tiktok, while if ur using google maps and the camera a lot, it will go for like 4 hours and a half, but after all, i really recommend saving up a few more bucks and go for the 12 mini, and if u have more money, going for the iphone 12 is even better! have a wonderful day/night

as owning Iphone 11 64gb and Iphone mini 128GB id say im happier for the mini . Much better feeling in hand and battery it is smaller but like at a normal day it will still have for me over half of battery even using it in total 4-5 hours active screen for only browsing,speaking and social media still with like 40-50% so why not.My 11 is 90% health battery and still last over 8-9 hours a day active screen time mainly browsing and social media and videos.If it runs out there is powerbanks.... or chargers. Who wouldnt buy it amazing value to get all IOS features instead 2x the price nearly for a Pro max or pro .
I went with the 11. Better price. Nearly the same performance. And just like with 4G a couple of years ago when it first came out, it is going to take a couple of years for it to really take off.
while searching for a comparison video of the two phones this was the first video which I came across.. and I don't regret watching it.. to be honest am not a tech geek but the differences which @Nick mentioned were exactly the decider for me to go for iPhone 11.. and the guy is real honest in his reviews.. I have the 12 Mini and that even in India where it costs way more than in the US. The battery is the real shortcoming. A 2227 mAh battery taking 1hr and 33 minutes to get completely charged only to to finish within 5 hours of SOT is a let down. Should have gone for the 12. It gives about 1:30 hours more than this one.
I got the 12 mini black. I'm very careful with all of my phones. Always a wallet case and screen protector. But after 3 months I have marks on the top edge. Like the color is fading or nicks. I've read about other simular problems by users of the 12. Its an overall great looking phone. But for me its important to have an esteticly pleasing phone after a few months. I'm changing it to iPhone 11 white tomorrow. Hopefully Apple will fix the bad paint finish on the edges on the iPhone 13 :)

I've been saying it for a long time, the iPhone 11 is king of iPhones after they changed the design. However, nothing beats ios on a smaller phone, where the operating system was meant to live in. 12 Mini Wins overall, because ios gets worse the bigger the phone. But the 11 been had the award.
actually went from the 11 to 12 mini... From the moment I got the 11 I loved it but it was just too big for my small hands and the lcd felt dated. overall the 12 mini has been my favorite phone ever the oled looks amazing imo, I do miss the battery life of the 11 but it’s been an improvement in most other departments. However If you’re fine with the lcd and the size, the 11 is an amazing phone for the price.
@@hi-ro1vo I mean it really is a downgrade, probably around 2-3 hours less than the 11. Keep in mind the 11 has some of the best battery life in a phone so considering that we’ve been spoiled by the 11

In the US the iPhones are not that expensive. Iphone 11 costs 599 dollars in the US and in other countries minimum 750 dollars if we change the coin to dollars.
I got white 12 mini and I can't be more happy. Loving the size, square edges are just great and battery life is okay, I'm able to do day and half with no problem. 5-6 hours of SOT and charging with 20% left. Tho iPhone 11a battery is way better (my gf gets 8-9 hours SOT)
11 & 12 mini both support night mode (camera front only for the 11) 12 mini is smaller than the 11 The 12 mini can easily be held with one hand with ease, while the 11 might be hard to reach a corner (probably the top left) The 12 is square (like the 4-inch iPhone 5/5S/SE I while the 11 is rounded like the recent iPhones from 2015-2019 (excluding the SE 1)
My mini 12 gorgeous. But the charging system my concern, in able charging the IPhone I have to used power bank system to make the charging work perfectly faster. I activate power bank on the main power supply then I connect IPhone through power bank for charging ❤❤❤❤
@@devinyasas Battery life is decent for a light user who just uses their phone to send emails, make calls and browse the web but if you decide to play games, video editing or use apps that will need a lot of power then you better keep a charger around because you’ll definitely need to plug it in, I wouldn’t recommend the iPhone 12 mini for anyone who is a heavy phone user the 11 or 12 is a way better device recommendation for those types of users
I just got my 12 white and idkkk. It’s not the absolute best. The quality is okay. The battery is 4/10 😕 the camera is not the best. I think the 11 is better for the price! I used to have a iPhone 7 btw! Hope this helps!
But iPhone 12 mini , despite having a smaller screen it still has the notch that’s big as in the iPhone 11 , which bothers me more than the thicker bezels on the 11
11 is better in many aspects Camera quality is the same Display quality is fine 11 photos can be seen very similar in Instagram Battery backup is great Price
I currently have the 12 mini but looking to trade it in for iPhone 11 as every time I use the 12 mini I end up with headaches and eye strain. On the 11 that I use at work I don't get any of those issues

Im lost, some battery tests show that the 12 mini has just as long battery life as the 11 and sometimes bigger. How does the battery really compare? Anyone else have both an want to give me some input on their battery life? I bought the 11 last week for the supposed longer battery life but now im thinking of exchanging it for the 12 mini if the batterys about the same

@@jsyoukr1 If you prefer better media consumption and gaming, stick to the 11. I hear the 12 mini's standby time is pretty bad. The fact the 11 is $130 cheaper also helps.
I originally wanted the 12 mini myself but saw how poor battery life is. Plus, I already have an SE1. It's kinda overkill to get this one. The mini is for a niche audience. No turning back to small displays with shorter battery life.
Well I have a google phone but I do want the 12 mini because there's no small phones out there. Phones are so big now. Are we going back to the first mobile phone like the 80s?
The iPhone 11 isn't a great phone anymore. I know the irl experience of iOS is unmatched - I use an iPhone myself. But on paper, the iPhone 11 is overpriced, and there are better phones under $600. Really, in 2020, you should've at least got the 12, if you intend to use it for 2-3 years. The same Super Retina XDR OLED display as the 12 Pro, except for less brightness, the fastest chipset on a phone, much smaller bezels, improved cameras with Dolby Vision HDR at 4K 60 FPS. But really, the main deal-breakers, at least for me, is the lack of 5G and incompatibility with MagSafe wireless accessories.
@@Tom_Stevens617 it sure doesn’t have iPhone 12 specs, I’m a medium user. I sometimes go heavy with TH-cam content, nothing more. I’m about to start sell my own products and need to invest as much as I can in my business instead of paying 700-1000+ dollars on a 60hz panel and other things I don’t need. Apple will even force us to pro territory for a 120hz display with iPhone 13, Samsung sells them for under 700 dollars. We don’t even have USB C ports. Personally, I don’t like apple’s attitude nowadays. Include less for more money in the box but release new phones every year for the environment? With new products, like EarPods max? Till the day my iPhone 11 gets toasted we will have 120hz displays and other goodies as standard. No need to pay more for it now. Have never had Face ID so it’s still a new experience to me. She literally couldn’t tell the difference except for the telephoto camera on the 12 pro and design wise is different. I guess normal people just want a phone that works great for a great price.
@@Tom_Stevens617 The iPhone 11 will last another 4 years with the A13 Bionic chip, you dont need 5G to browse through social media, you dont need OLED display to enjoy TH-cam, phone cameras quality improve every year and Magsafe defeats the purpose of being called wireless charging.

@@muntasirmahmud 12 mini has shorter screen on time because of the battery and most reviews said 12 mini battery health drop faster. That’s why I chose ip 11. The reguler ip 12 is way better I think but I was on a limited budget😅 I’ll stay with ip 11 and upgrade it later when 5G is available in my area.

I was thinking for the iphone 11 too but i got the 12 mini 256GB.So for the time i have used it it's very fast.it has a very reliable camera and i didn't expected that much quality in photo and videos. The screen is fantastic.First time using a phone with a Oled screen. INCREDIBLE! for the size.. Before the 12 mini i had 5.5 inch android phone. I was a week away from buying the 12 mini. I ended up buying an 11 and aside from the lack of a 256GB option, I'm enjoying the 11.

Face ID isn’t faster tho, the sensor literally haven’t changed since 2017 they just have gotten better thru software updates since then

What I can tell you is that the battery dies decently fast so if you’re going to have a long flight make sure you bring a charger cable and/or a portable charger.
Went from 11 to 12 mini but then switched back as i found it difficult to type quickly on the 12 mini due to a squished keyboard.
Also the ability to watch video on a bigger screen trumps a small sized video.
The build is better on the 12 mini and it is much lighter and easier to handle though.
Edit: i have now switched to the12 mini as my iphone 11 became unusable due to severe ghost touch issues. 12 mini Phone build is better and you get ised to the size after a few days.
I would still go with the 11. The mini is to small. If it was the regular one then I would choose the 12 or 12 max.

so basically, you have to know what are you looking for to pick one of these iphones, for example, if ur looking for a better battery life i would definitely recommend the iphone 11, but if ur going fo ra nice display and less lagging device with a better camera, it goes for the 12 mini, but after all, the battery life isnt really a problem, it will give you a 5 or 6 hours on the iphone 12 mini if u rjust watching youtube videos or using social media or tiktok, while if ur using google maps and the camera a lot, it will go for like 4 hours and a half, but after all, i really recommend saving up a few more bucks and go for the 12 mini, and if u have more money, going for the iphone 12 is even better! have a wonderful day/night

as owning Iphone 11 64gb and Iphone mini 128GB id say im happier for the mini . Much better feeling in hand and battery it is smaller but like at a normal day it will still have for me over half of battery even using it in total 4-5 hours active screen for only browsing,speaking and social media still with like 40-50% so why not.My 11 is 90% health battery and still last over 8-9 hours a day active screen time mainly browsing and social media and videos.If it runs out there is powerbanks.... or chargers. Who wouldnt buy it amazing value to get all IOS features instead 2x the price nearly for a Pro max or pro .

I went with the 11. Better price. Nearly the same performance. And just like with 4G a couple of years ago when it first came out, it is going to take a couple of years for it to really take off.
5G is gonna take longer cuz you need more towers for it to even be effective

I have the 12 Mini and that even in India where it costs way more than in the US. The battery is the real shortcoming. A 2227 mAh battery taking 1hr and 33 minutes to get completely charged only to to finish within 5 hours of SOT is a let down. Should have gone for the 12. It gives about 1:30 hours more than this one.
I got the 12 mini black. I'm very careful with all of my phones. Always a wallet case and screen protector. But after 3 months I have marks on the top edge. Like the color is fading or nicks. I've read about other simular problems by users of the 12. Its an overall great looking phone. But for me its important to have an esteticly pleasing phone after a few months. I'm changing it to iPhone 11 white tomorrow. Hopefully Apple will fix the bad paint finish on the edges on the iPhone 13 :)

I've been saying it for a long time, the iPhone 11 is king of iPhones after they changed the design. However, nothing beats ios on a smaller phone, where the operating system was meant to live in. 12 Mini Wins overall, because ios gets worse the bigger the phone. But the 11 been had the award.

From the moment I got the 11 I loved it but it was just too big for my small hands and the lcd felt dated. overall the 12 mini has been my favorite phone ever the oled looks amazing imo, I do miss the battery life of the 11 but it’s been an improvement in most other departments. However If you’re fine with the lcd and the size, the 11 is an amazing phone for the price.

I got white 12 mini and I can't be more happy. Loving the size, square edges are just great and battery life is okay, I'm able to do day and half with no problem. 5-6 hours of SOT and charging with 20% left. Tho iPhone 11a battery is way better (my gf gets 8-9 hours SOT)

@@devinyasas Battery life is decent for a light user who just uses their phone to send emails, make calls and browse the web but if you decide to play games, video editing or use apps that will need a lot of power then you better keep a charger around because you’ll definitely need to plug it in, I wouldn’t recommend the iPhone 12 mini for anyone who is a heavy phone user the 11 or 12 is a way better device recommendation for those types of users

@@jsyoukr1 If you prefer better media consumption and gaming, stick to the 11. I hear the 12 mini's standby time is pretty bad. The fact the 11 is $130 cheaper also helps.
I originally wanted the 12 mini myself but saw how poor battery life is. Plus, I already have an SE1. It's kinda overkill to get this one. The mini is for a niche audience. No turning back to small displays with shorter battery life.

The iPhone 11 isn't a great phone anymore. I know the irl experience of iOS is unmatched - I use an iPhone myself. But on paper, the iPhone 11 is overpriced, and there are better phones under $600. Really, in 2020, you should've at least got the 12, if you intend to use it for 2-3 years. The same Super Retina XDR OLED display as the 12 Pro, except for less brightness, the fastest chipset on a phone, much smaller bezels, improved cameras with Dolby Vision HDR at 4K 60 FPS. But really, the main deal-breakers, at least for me, is the lack of 5G and incompatibility with MagSafe wireless accessories.
@@Tom_Stevens617 it sure doesn’t have iPhone 12 specs, I’m a medium user. I sometimes go heavy with TH-cam content, nothing more. I’m about to start sell my own products and need to invest as much as I can in my business instead of paying 700-1000+ dollars on a 60hz panel and other things I don’t need.
Apple will even force us to pro territory for a 120hz display with iPhone 13, Samsung sells them for under 700 dollars. We don’t even have USB C ports. Personally, I don’t like apple’s attitude nowadays. Include less for more money in the box but release new phones every year for the environment? With new products, like EarPods max?
Till the day my iPhone 11 gets toasted we will have 120hz displays and other goodies as standard. No need to pay more for it now. Have never had Face ID so it’s still a new experience to me.

She literally couldn’t tell the difference except for the telephoto camera on the 12 pro and design wise is different. I guess normal people just want a phone that works great for a great price.
