What I love about this game is that it answers the question of what happens when you accept the Dragon Lord's offer of "Half the World" in the first Dragon Quest game. The Dragonlord doesn't kill you. Instead, you get a small patch of land literally named "Half of the World", and he takes the rest.
I always played with my dad and brother when I was younger around 6-7 and I'm 16 now and I tried to go on the game again and found out all my progress got wiped.
@@Srsgaming_1234 Yeah I started again today. Got up to the bit where you get the wooden mallet. It's annoying at the moment because my base is so bad because it's the start but in time it'll get better. Can't be worse then when I was younger I built a massive second floor above the ground with a 1 block stairs going up to it 🤦🏻♂️
Look how big and powerful that dragon is, and how it tanks blasts from cannons. Now consider that in the canon timeline, Alef took that thing on with just a few melee strikes and the occasional Midheal.
I find this ending a little different in terms of happiness but prefer it cuz in this outcome this proves fate isn’t always set in stone and u shouldn’t always be forced into a life u don’t want
“Never had a chance to make a decision for himself” is pretty apt, cause every yes no choice in Dq1 can be summed up by “But thou must”. Ironically if the hero rejected the Dragonlord’s offer, he would have made a choice for himself by rejecting lordship over Alefgard.
I actually liked 2 more, and I initially had low hopes when buying it, however it proved me wrong, I actually was very invested in it, I'm still not the most fond of 1 however, no offense.
@@joshcoy6748At least 1 has good pacing and no pointless unskippable Hargon dialogues that last forever, unlike 2's tedious 70+ hour long tutorial of a story

I'm DYING. That's a sick burn The Dragonlord gave to The Hero.
LMAO
Toriyama definitely had involvement in that joke
7:43 Then he lied to the Hero. Otherwise the grammar would have been hinting into the kind of bargain he is offering.
@@thecoton6152 A deception, but not a lie.
Is there footage of this. BC I read this on TvTropes but all I see if you tell the Dragonlord yes is that he kills you
This has easily been one of my most favorite games to play right now! Doesn’t get old still holds up today! 😊

@@cl1xy532 damn id be upset, but you can always replay and relive old memories again never too late 👍

Rubiss: Remember, you aren't a hero.
Builder: Are you admitting you were wrong to pick that last hero?

"I will make the same offer"
**Current Circumstances show this offer sucks**

Like Metroman and Megamind. And I like those kinds of character arcs.
"After game: "so the builder and his mates rebuild Alefgard however in Catlin .........."
game "so you kill the minions first with your sword-"
R7 " CAR GO BRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!"
This is so true 😭🙏🏼

I legit just finished DQB2 Like 2 days ago, ah how this brings back memories…

@@joshcoy6748idk 1 is still just as fun. Bought it cheap for the vita and having fun with it before i get into DQB2 😊

@Crimcomet I still enjoyed it, once it started picking up momentum.
I am about to finish both, I finished the second part. I am now almost finishing both parts 2 times 😌
