"If the people send me to Washington, the first thing I'll do is study that agreement...." You're debating it, right now; you've held a very vocal very public position that it is a bad agreement and yet you're going to wait till your elected to 'study' it'? THAT kind of empty carnival barker showmanship is why they tend to exclude marginal candidates. We saw the same thing with Trump be he was so deliberately bellicose that the 'good' people of the U.S. couldn't resist his appeal. The fact is though, that he didn't KNOW anything about anything. Like Perot, he had a lot of well-developed opinions based on opinions, but not much more. That's where the similarity ends. Perot was sharp, incisive and probably a very capable businessman. I believe he was also ethical and held a moral compass of some kind (if dominated by narrow business perspective), while Trump had and has no ethical or moral grounding at all.
meh not really. you know you can still vote for write ins. but go ahead and throw it away. 3rd parties only tear away voters so an unlikely candidate gets in from the 2 prime ones.
@rambro you are an ignorant asshole. Most people just want to live their lives. Do away with politicians and the world would be a better place. Do away with average folks and the world will be a desolate wateland. Which is what people like you deserve.
Ross Perot was an Annapolis graduate.....served as an officer in the United States Navy till 1962. Worked for IBM, started 2 Tech companies, both billion dollar companies. Even financed one of Steve Jobs ventures. I dare say he was one of the most intellegent men ever to run, we would have been well served with him as POTUS. Don't let his Texarkana drawl fool you. He was and still is a true patriot.
He is a great man and should be honored and respected. He would've done great things for our country. But Congress might have been an obstacle for him.
To see him warning the country and the two presidents smirking and marginalizing him is a scary thing. They knew what he knew it would do to the US jobs market And did it anyways.
I remember this back then. Everyone made fun of him. I always liked Perot , but because the media controls what they wanted us to see...well now we are in a real mess in America...
I was too young to vote when Mr. Perot was running for President. I did like him. He seemed to be the most honest out of the three. Even then, I was called a "fool" or "idiot" for liking him. I was always given a hard time for wanting to listen to third party runners.
They are doing the same thing with Trump now, trying to convince people that he's a white supremacist. Even though he's been in the public eye for over 30 years and was never known as a racist. All the celebrities, politicians, movie stars, etc all loved Trump. Until he decided to run for president against the democrats.. It's absolute bullshit.
I'm proud to say I voted for Mr. Perot. I think though he was the right man at the wrong time. If we had a Perot come along now I think they'd have a better shot at winning. People are tired of the Republicans and Democrats.
archerace7 Trump? No thanks. I will vote for Cruz. Trump is just meant to split the vote. www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/donald-trump-in-1999-i-believe-in-universal-health-careits-a#.peB96PJVp www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/06/donald_trump_has_a_solid_history_of_conservatism_going_back_many_weeks.html etc
Apex Gaming Trump may or may not do what he says...I tend to think that he will. That being said, Cruz is no different than the rest of the bought off, corrupt politicians that have been, and are destroying the middle class. If you want more of the same....for as long as the country lasts...vote for any of the rest. Really does not matter, pick one from Hillary to Bush.....including Cruz...they are all the same.
Apex Gaming Has Cruz mentioned one thing about removing free trade agreements that have devastated the middle class? This is the issue everyone avoids like the plague, except Trump. In fact Cruz favors fast track and favors trade agreements that are absolutely killing our standard of living and way of life....Just like the rest of the career politicians. He is no different. The question is why? Because he is on the payroll of the same lobbyists as the rest of the corrupt politicians.
He was absolutely right, but he was an outsider. The Establishment could never allow that, so they made him look like a fool, and anyone else that questioned 'free' trade a fool. I wish social media had been around in '92.
Social media is cancer to our republic so long as it's censored for wrongspeak. It's nothing more than an echo chamber for the internationalist open border socialists. On the bright side, the left is starting to eat their own in a big way. Soon the vocal minority will be standing alone because good intentions aren't good enough for these people and simple honest mistakes they cannot forgive.
Right. Because it is so totally possible for every last person in the country to make a living by being self employed. Yep, uh huh. And of course, there's no need whatsoever for factories or any other facilities with multiple, non-independent employees. Sure. Got it. OK. Will do.
@17 76 So said fox so called news & brightbart & the rest of the right wing nut cases that parrot the orange sphincter, aka liar in chief's line of bs. Just google " lies & misleading statements made by Trump".
@Mr. Giggles Are you shitting me? BBC(UK) never lies,CBC(Canada) never lies, every other news outlet never lies only brightbart & fox tell the truth. You can't possibly be that stupid or maybe you really are. Accept my sincere condolences.
Ray West the common sense guys never win, the whole system is set up to prevent that Ron Paul was another voice of Reason who got shut down by the corporate controlled media designed to manipulate the public
BackSeatDriver Same here. 1992 was the year I graduated from High school, turned 18yrs. old, and became an American voter. I was behind Perot “All the Way”. Every word he spoke during those debates were 100% correct and honest. While the other two did nothing but, try to make him look foolish and idiotic. Mr. Perot was the smartest, most direct and honest person on that stage. Our country would be in a lot better position financially if Perot would’ve won in 92’. It’s not late, hopefully President Trump can get US back on track. God bless America.
"Mr. Perot, What experience do you have to become president?" - A reporter (can't recall who) "Well, I don't have any experience in creating a 4 Trillion Dollar debt". - Ross Perot Now that debt is around 20 Trillion....and growing
Same with my dad. My father is a die-hard Democrat and believes anyone Republican is a white racist. And when he said that he was voting for Ross Perot instead of Bill Clinton, we were all like "WHAT???"
@@richardcole9308 and yet so many people in this comment section know only of ross perot through that two minutes, where all he did was give a populist line, not know too much about it and promise of elected he will read 2000 pages and do what the guy is wanting to know at that moment, before the election
I was 23 yrs old when this took place , I remember saying to my fellow beings he should be president because he knew business. The so called voters said he didn't know nothing about politics. I'm 46 yrs old and watching this video with tears in my eyes!
Perot was the only time Ive ever voted for president. Was so disillusioned I've never voted again. Think @ time Slick Willy won was when they started the whole Rock The Vote campaign through Hollywood. I couldn't stand the whole thing. The beginning of the end.
I remember everyone telling me how dumb I was to waste my vote on Perot, i still dont see it that way. I knew almost nothing about Trump before he became pres. I voted for him also. Still think Perot might have been a little better, but Trump is the only one who can survive the current shit fest our country is in right now.
Yup same here. my first vote was for Ross. Everyone thought he was a crackpot but I liked him ,we never heard someone speak out like he did and it was thrilling. Looking back now he nailed it,but big business put the kabash on him. Who's laughing now? Well, more like crying now.
That was my first election (selection) too. I remember how Perot was rolling very quickly and that the 2 parties were getting very nervous. Does anyone remember what brought Perot down? I don't see anyone on here talking about that.
@@housewifehoneybee2784- Yes, both parties were trying to derail him. But I'm thinking of a specific event that happened that took him down. Do you remember the "you people" thing? The media at the time jumped all over it. I guess not much changes huh.
*_I was in 4th grade at the time of this election, and I dressed up as Ross Perot for Halloween. We had a Halloween party at school, and my homeroom teacher called the other teachers over to see my costume and they all laughed at me. I remember one of them saying, “Sorry, I’m not voting for ya!” I remember being really bummed out about my teachers laughing at me._* *_Best fucking costume I ever had in my life._*
I was only 12 years old when Ross Perot was running for president. I wasn't in politics then. But I am now I love President Trump is doing. Did you guys watch meeting today it was really good.
Origami Toilet Sounds like a great costume! I was in 4th grade when Mondale and Reagan ran back in 84. I dressed up as Boy George. I recall my teachers asking if I was an American Indian. I was like umm NO! Gosssshh!
It is easy to understand why the Real Estate Developer chose to claw his way up through the Republican nomination - rather than run as a third-party candidate.
To be fair, it’s focusing on a single issue and then building a narrative that Perot would have been a great president around that alone. I mean conversely he may have started a nuclear war and we could be saying how much better things could have been had Clinton been president. Hindsight and all that
This is where Americans in general need to be held responsible for their perceptions trumping cognitions; I remember the atmosphere very well during that debate as it was the first time I voted for a president. I recall the amount of ridicule Perot took in the media. Why was he ridiculed? 1) he was short. 2) He had an accent that people associate with ignorance. 3) anything he said was then filtered through those 2 perceptions and thus had zero credibilty. That "sucking sound" comment was fodder for years. And yet..... Its up to you to understand what is a social perception versus what is a real qualifications. You will need it for dating/marriage. You wil need it for work in assessing who you will work for and who you will not. You will need it as a human being. Smiles and quips are cheap. Yet people take them like their gold. Has nothing to do with competence only our perception of competence.
I liked his "I'm all ears" comment. To me, Perot was a true patriot, like Trump, but few scandals. I don't give a damn about any of Trumps scandals because I know of his righteous intent for the USA, which is more than I can say for 95% of most politicians.
Ross Perot proof positive that most Americans vote based on media influence, demeanor, camera charisma and rhetoric. So sad. I wish presidential debates got into specifics. Each candidate should be allowed to answer the same question and given proper time to answer in detail. Instead we get random media chosen questions and small sound byte style answers.
+stockjonebills I don't think that's true. I think either you're too young to remember 1992 or you just forgot what the race looked like in the summer. Ross was leading in the national polls in July. He is also the last Presidential candidate to be leading in both Texas and California that late in the cycle. He lost because he stopped campaigning in late July then started up again in October. You simply cannot do that if you want to win. You need to be on the trail every single day until election day. If he had stayed in the race he would have won.
You don’t remember correctly. He was actually doing very well. Once he was doing well the political powers got scared and tried to ruin his life: death threats they were attacking his daughter. It was nasty. He dropped out and actually came back late. Had he never dropped out he would had possibly won he still got 18% of the vote. The people wanted him and the political system didn’t. Trump is Perot 2.0 and wasn’t scared to go toe to toe with these people and this is why they are desperate to destroy trump because he is a threat to their power
Bob Meyer I think one of the biggest factors in him losing the race was the speech he gave to the NAACP. He referred to them “you people” or “your people” and he was portrayed as a racists. I just remembering that after that everything went downhill for him. But, I could be wrong that was a long time ago, hell I was still in high school!
I agree with stockjonebills. I've always thought the perfect debate would be without an audience, much like the 1960 debates (I think). But the candidates themselves probably wouldn't agree to it, as they want the cheers for their snappy answers (and any possible boos about the other candidate) to use in later campaign ads.
Dude. Perot was looking unbeatable BUT he bowed out of the campaign. Hell, if I remember correctly he called off his campaign twice! He is the one who didn’t want to be in office in the end.
Phillip. The real "people" in power, if you care to call them people essentially made him bow out of the campaign. They knew what he would have accomplished and it would have been devastation for their agenda. Anyways, to make a long story short, if he had continued to run for president, not so pleasant things would've occurred during his daughter's upcoming wedding. I think there may have been some other issues as well but he was not willing to risk his own life and family to become president. If you have time, maybe look more into depth as to his reasons for pulling out of the race. But I will tell you, he was one smart man who had America in his heart
Kelvin Panesar I appreciate your sentiment but what you have typed is without merit. It’s far more likely Perot would not divest his business interests and was an overbearing control freak that his campaign staffers found hard, if not impossible, to work with.
Stop your complaining...You privilege made out pretty damn well during those Clinton years as computer programmers. But of course once again you voted against your best interest and Voted that idiot Bush Jr into office TWICE. Then you double down on Trump and now you are WHINING again. This nation is full of MANchildren......all they do is bitch even when the system is set up for from birth. Damn WHINERS....
Right now they say the economy is booming in Dallas, Tx lets put this as an example its like painting a car full of rust and covering it with bondo and primer after a while that rust starts to pop out and show how bad it is and you thought you bought the best materials and painter thats when the everything goes down hill its a (cover up) lets make this short their making people distracted that theirs alot of work and make them buy buy buy buy and out of know were an CRASH like in 2001 and 2008 but worser now CALLED (CRISIS).
If Trump was all that good and for the people, wouldn't he have assassinated by now? Think about it folks, he's with them. He's in there to make himself and the other elitists rich.
And other than meeting your own personal needs, how did that vote help this country? I'll tell you how, it didn't. I bet you bragged about it at the time, too, am I right? Sounds sanctimonious to me. Granted, you have the moral card to play, but that's a cheep way out when the outcome you supported was an inevitable lost cause. Whether you're a liberal, libertarian, conservative, etc., you let people down. Go ahead, minimize, rationalize or justify your vote. I'm eager to hear.
@Varangian Guard Trump was the man we needed at the right time. He was is more of an Independent like Ross Perot, but he had more money and popularity to push him over. Thank God for Trump!
So did I. After the rapist won, my dad blamed me for it. Because I didn't vote for Bush Sr. My dad said that if I had only voted for Bush Sr. then he would have won and not the rapist. Perot split the conservative vote. (But back then we didn't know Slick Willie was a rapist)
Chaz Nonya. He may have been right on a number of issues, but he definitely did not get “railroaded out of the race.” He made idiotic comments about being afraid that Bush was going to sabotage his daughter’s wedding. By doing that he came off as a nut job talking crazy at just the peak of his popularity, and he quit. Then later he jumped back in. But he had killed his own chances. If he hadn’t acted like an idiot during that one two-day period when he went off his rocker he might have won. But he blew it himself.
I remember in College that they kept teaching us that "protectionism" doesn't work but they had no Idea what does. I am glad Trump is not afraid of fighting for our (and our kids) jobs, not afraid of North Korea, not afraid of Corporate America not afraid of the EU or the press among other things and will do what needs to be done to set things right. I just wish he would do it more quietly.
This current president has done the following: forced Harley Davidson to move their business. Pushed GM to stop production of five of their vehicle models while shutting down a few of their plants resulting in thousands being unemployed - after thanksgiving! Two separate stock market collapses of 700 points or lower. No one currently supporting this administration really doesn’t understand how Ross Perot was calling out the trend that brought us those two - Bush and Clinton and the impact To our way of life today.
@Donkey Punch Knock-Out This is implied in Perots' speech on bad U.S. policies. He contrasts the foreign labor workforce with the American labor workforce, and addresses decreasing wages for the latter when U.S. companies outsource American jobs. Although, he doesn't explicitly say cheap immigrant labor, he does. It's clear whether it's the U.S. outsourcing jobs to other Nation's willing to do jobs for less, or any foreign laborer workforce that acquires and takes over American jobs, and thats in or out of this country, it actually does hurts the average American worker. And that's really the point!

David Isaacson. With some of the hidden facts and details we now know about elections being stolen, I'm not so sure that Ross Perot didn't win! Think how much better off all America would be right now had Perot had 8yrs.in the driver's seat instead of the betraying trash that sat in his place. Perot would likely be listed along with Trump and Reagan as the only great modern day Presidents we've had since they shot JFK down.
I voted for Ross Perot in my first election that I was old enough to vote. He had some great plans, but above all he was an actual patriot who was willing to do the job on his own dime.
+JusticeNature Yes! It is so obvious to people like you and me, but so many people are so easily fooled into believing a caricature of the man put forth by the dishonest media! I was only 9 years old during this election, but I remember rooting for him the whole way. I doubt I understood anything about the policies being discussed, but I just knew I liked him and that he was a good and honest man. To answer your question, the media, which is the 3rd wing of the political establishment, convinced people that Perot couldn't win, thus they voted for 1 of the other 2 candidates. Exit polling revealed that an additional 19% of the electorate would have voted for Perot had they believed he could actually win. This would have given Perot 37%, which would have given him more than a 50% chance of winning in a 3 way race. The public got fooled, and a serial rapist was elected President of the United States of America.
Veronika Mars Exactly right. When they weren't doing the "he's a racist" routine they were doing the "what a nut" routine. When he appeared on Letterman, as he came out the orchestra played the "Monty Python" theme music. Subtle enough?
I remember him, and for a while there he was actually leading in the polls. But for some mysterious reason he dropped out of the race. He then decided to re-enter the presidential race with weeks to go before the election, and despite the fact that he had lost most of the momentum and credibility he had worked so hard to build, he still managed to gain 19% of the popular vote!! Just imagine what might have happened if he had not dropped out of the race. To this day I wonder what occurred that forced that decision. I’m sure there are many interesting conspiracy theories out there.
His "goofy charts" is what got me interested in politics. Back then and today I get ridiculed every time I say that I liked Perot and voted for him. I have wanted a business man as president because I thought it would shake up this country, and it has!
But Trump is so mean spirited. He's really divided the nation. There is no middle ground, either you love him or you hate him. I know he was elected because people wanted a tough leader that would get things done, but isn't that a definition of a dictator? After all, back in the 1930s, the Germans wanted Hitler to make Germany great again and at what cost?
@@lamarravery4094 the country was divided before Trump... quite honestly, that division became it's most extreme during the Obama years. I'm not one that automatically fell in line and hailed Trump as the savior of the country. I feel he is pretty brash and arrogant, sometimes lacking the ability to hold his tongue. But, he is not racist, he is not race baiting, something his predecessor routinely did. The outcry in the media is fueling the division. If people would stop falling for the bullshit that the MSM is pushing, things would start to improve. I will not hold my breath for that to happen though.
@@lamarravery4094 stop listening to the media, your friends, teachers, celebrities etc., and do your own research. This will take some practice. Good luck
The United States will NEVER be Nazi Germany. As a 30+ year Independent voter I can tell you the country was divided before Trump was elected president. Every time a Republican is voted in as president the Democratic machine throws out the Nazi, Dictator, White supremacist, Bigot... words to describe the president that has an R associated with it. And every time a Democrat is voted in the words from the Republican party are Dictator, Stupid, more concerned with birds than people... Its been going on for years... Neither party represent me, but I vote and I support whoever is elected to office.
Ross the boss! I voted for him too, in our mock 8th grade election, which he won. I knew nothing about politics back then, except not to trust a politician.
I campaigned and collected money for Perot. I was disappointed when he dropped out of the race. Perot was the first outsider that attempted to become president. Trump finally succeeded in being the first outsider to become president.
The President is just one man. If he's not affiliated with a party, then those party hacks in Congress, the administrators in his own departments (previously appointed by his predecessors), the justices (previously appointed by his predecessors) and the media (paid by the party hacks) will make it impossible for him to do anything he promises to do. This is why the independent Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders campaigns both decided to align themselves with a major political party. Before then, Trump had changed affiliation 11 times as an adult (and even ran as a Reform candidate) while Sanders was a member of the Socialist party and then was an independent. It's also why Rand Paul is a Republican, rather than a Libertarian. Without party affiliation, you have no power to do what you promise to do.
Was he right? Or was the video edited a bit, TH-cam selects an accommodating audience, his debate opponents views never represented and he skipped over quite a few facts? I think the latter is true.

Doesnt matter who is president.....every one of us needs to be aware and self educated to make this nation competitive with others around the world. This country is owned and managed by outside source until the public understands the financial irresponsibility that the politicians did for us who were paid off. Wake up and snap out of the distraction of the false narrative that is keeping people so far off the truth.
Yes, but the same Deep State that was controlling the elections then (CIA, FBI, Media) went after Perot and his daughter to make him out to be nuts, are still at work stopping Trump. Only difference between then and now is the internet.

@@johncrafton8319 the devil's in details. Donald lost the popular vote. He raced against Hilary, not Bill. Dreaded88 It was disgusting, just like your comment. I'm on board with Perot and Paul, but Trump? C'mon. Paul never in a million years would join up with Trump. Neither would Perot.
Before then, even. NAFTA didn't affect us overseas - it kept everything in-continent. No, the overseas stuff was an issue in the late 70's when we had started outsourcing our production to Taiwan, Malaysia, and China. Hell, even in the 80's my home town had three different lumber companies shipping locally-sourced timber over to China so they could make furniture, toys, and household goods for us. Unfortunately, Bush's globalism made it worse, and Clinton's own brand of it was just as bad.
Hold your horses people. Perot and trump are nothing alike. Perot is actually intelligent and a financial wizard who can articulate his thoughts , who served in the military and is not a blithering idiotic rascist.
@uh wot Trump, successful? At pulling the wool over the eyes of credulous Republican voters, sure. At business? You've got to be kidding. He gets handed a vast sum of money (dodging taxes like he dodged the draft) by his (genuinely self-made) father, then, after a few decades of wheeling and dealing through a period of some of the greatest appreciation in Manhattan real estate in history, manages -- with a few bankruptcies along the way -- to turn it into *less* money than he would have had if he'd just stuck that inheritance into an S&P 500 index fund and spent the last 40 years playing golf. He's a charlatan, in business as in politics, and you've bought into it. Trump does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Perot, a patriot and genuine business visionary.
I remember watching this with my grandfather and I remember he loved this guy and was pissed when he dropped out. Now we got another chance and they better not hurt Trump.
I remember hearing his response to this question and his closing statement. How prophetic. We have to realize that, it's worked out just fine for those in control. Only the naive think we live in a democracy.
Ross didn't really answer the question about what he would do about NAFTA. He said that the first thing he would do when elected President was to study that 2000 page agreement 2:34. That means that he hadn't already studied it when he asked to be President. There is no reason to believe that after studying the agreement he would have found anything useful to do about it.
Rick Hibdon. I think the word that best describes their sound would be goodness and honesty. Trump,Reagan,&Perot are/have all been true American Patriots,&the first two are/have been Great Presidents.
Perot is an Honest man unlike Trump. There is no comparison. A Naval Academy graduate and computer billionaire vs a bone spur rip-off and bankruptcy expert.
“The giant sucking sound” God, he was right. I was in my teens & a young Libertarian at the time. I believed that story that globalization of manufacturing was going to make everyone rich. A college level job for all, a new car in every driveway & a big house for everyone. All we had to do was get government out of the way. 25 years later. God, it hurts to be this wrong. You were right, Mr. Perot.

The lack of a 3rd party is a big reason why we are where we are. We need one desperately.
Most of the greatest people in history were laughed at before everyone realized they were right. Its strange

Perot was great, too bad he wasnt the president during the time, consider how much better the middle class and blue collar workers would be today!
Hindsight and all that
Totally

Yep 😞
America can't have a decent President. The better the candidate, the least they want him in office
It's all about business
I have been saying we should have had him for president for over 25 years

To answer your question, the media, which is the 3rd wing of the political establishment, convinced people that Perot couldn't win, thus they voted for 1 of the other 2 candidates. Exit polling revealed that an additional 19% of the electorate would have voted for Perot had they believed he could actually win. +JusticeNature american mass media manipulating voters and made perot look like a buffoon just like they're doing to trump now
+Mark 975 I voted ROSS in 1992...i was 32 at the time...this country is so messed up...
Veronika Mars Exactly right. When they weren't doing the "he's a racist" routine they were doing the "what a nut" routine. When he appeared on Letterman, as he came out the orchestra played the "Monty Python" theme music. Subtle enough?
Because D's and R's are in control.
Your comment speaks mostly of your ignorance regarding Hitler, the 1930s and Trump and less about the real facts regarding all 3. Research to the sources not the b.S politically correct textbooks out now. What a waste of money. You will learn the truth and while doing the research, keep in mind the context of the era. You cannot judge people of the past and their personal decisions by the norms of the present. You must stay objective and not let your personal biases infect your research.
Wow, a young Al Gore. I'd forgotten he once had a merely human sized head. Yep, Ross was right all along, not rocket science, just common sense.
I remember Ross Perot. I also voted for him.
Me too!
Me too. And I've always regretted doing that, because it allowed the 3rd-best candidate to win.
Ross the boss! I voted for him too, in our mock 8th grade election, which he won. I knew nothing about politics back then, except not to trust a politician.
As did I.
a vote for Perot was a vote for Clinton
That giant sucking sound turned out to be Lewinsky
Lmao
country finally listened to Trump.
Kirk I’ll never listen to him, he a idiot

thank you for your service Ross Perot
Alan Keyes was also right about how the USA should not have entered into the WTO.
I hope Perot supports Trump.
The two are much alike in with them being both businessmen running for presidency.
+Bryton Cherrier Except Perot wouldn't let his daughter marry a jew, unlike Trump who let Eric and Ivanka tie the knot with those fuckers!
I never looked but is he alive yet?
Who? Perot? Hell yeah, he just gave an interview this year.
I'm soooooo glad
I campaigned and collected money for Perot. I was disappointed when he dropped out of the race. Perot was the first outsider that attempted to become president. Trump finally succeeded in being the first outsider to become president.
That’s why I’ve always said the country needs a independent president someone who’s not going to do what’s he’s told by the party to do
The President is just one man.
When I was in college, I knew he was right, but most other students didn't get it. Guess things haven't changed.
@SgtBaker16 And then these same people, later in life, became Republicans.
Perot was absolutely correct.
Was he right? Or was the video edited a bit, TH-cam selects an accommodating audience, his debate opponents views never represented and he skipped over quite a few facts?
I think the latter is true.
He should have become president
He was too short. 🤷♂️
If he wouldn't have dropped out...
@@lombardo141 theybshould have lowered his podium, like 43. We Americans are shallow voters.
Desmon
😂 I had forgotten they lowered his podium! 😂😂 his podium should've been wired to shock him when he got too stupid.
Oh boy was he right. The new trump trade deal just brought Mexico's min wage up. Damn near prophetic.
Wasn't That One Of The Reasons For NAFTA To Help The Mexican Workers/People!! And Like Always The Greedly Got It All...And That's The Story Of NAFTA American Jobs Gone!.. Mexican Worker/People Getting Poorer And Working Harder And Longer...Thank You President Trump
Harold Waig you are right
Not prophecy.. Just common sense..The man begged the Americans to go look it up...They voted for who sounded the best or looked the best...fools . Same as today...You can't vote for someone because they look like you or sound cool.. They should bring something to the table and have some balls to get things done for USA...
@@johnjacobjingle7177 can't disagree with that.
I use to listen to him and say to myself......This guy has no way of winning because he was right with what he is saying.
The people do not want what's right....they want what's cheap and eassy.
Crazy how what he said happened. Ross was right.
The US needed Trump 20 years ago.I'm afraid now it's too late ...🇺🇸
Yes, but the same Deep State that was controlling the elections then (CIA, FBI, Media) went after Perot and his daughter to make him out to be nuts, are still at work stopping Trump. Only difference between then and now is the internet.
It's not too late. A few Americans can convince a few more to return to their senses. A return to greatness one red pilled mind at a time. Soon, our return to sanity will be celebrated by legions.
@Mister Guy That's exactly what a commie would say
Remember how bad the Nixon presidency was? Remember how it was surrounded by lies and scandal? Well, Trump makes Nixon look like Abraham Lincoln. Trump is by far the worst lying president we have ever seen. He's even more insecure and paranoid than Nixon.
@@lamarravery4094 lol just repeating more MSM lies. You probably believed there were WMD's in Iraq too
Then Trump tries to fix that mess and he's called a traitor lol man I love America such a twisted distorted country haha
The problem is that Trump couldn't punch his way out of a wet paper bag. He's not even remotely in Perot's league, morally or intellectually.
MCMLXXXIV word? How long you known Trump?
@@TheRealJuseBeats too long.
@@hjdhbcfjjb He got elected against a Clinton. Perot did not. Say what you want about morals and ethics - they're both important - but Trump most certainly punched his way into office, which was something Ross Perot was never able to do.
@@johncrafton8319 the devil's in details. Donald lost the popular vote. He raced against Hilary, not Bill. And he ran as a republican whereas Perot was independent - which is a seemingly insurmountable obstacle. On top of all these details, Perot was self made - not a trust fund baby like Donald. Also, simply listen to their speeches. Donald can't even read a prompter correctly and his aids report that he hates reading. So yeah, as I said, Donald is not on Perot's level intellectually. The fact that Donald is president is a complete fluke.
I wish Perot became president.
Ross Perot as Donald Trump's Vice President, and Ron Paul as Secretary of State!
+Dreaded88 I just vomited in my mouth at that comment.
Dubbadizzo86
Was it tasty? :D
Dreaded88 It was disgusting, just like your comment. I'm on board with Perot and Paul, but Trump? C'mon. Paul never in a million years would join up with Trump. Neither would Perot.
Dubbadizzo86
not true.
ron paul as head of the federal reserve.......:-):-):-):-)
Damn straight he was right.
Wait wait wait... So we been trying to bring jobs back from overseas since the days of Ross Perot???
Guess you weren't listening
Before then, even. NAFTA didn't affect us overseas - it kept everything in-continent. No, the overseas stuff was an issue in the late 70's when we had started outsourcing our production to Taiwan, Malaysia, and China. Hell, even in the 80's my home town had three different lumber companies shipping locally-sourced timber over to China so they could make furniture, toys, and household goods for us.
Unfortunately, Bush's globalism made it worse, and Clinton's own brand of it was just as bad.
GBRTGalaxy, Inc. it really got bad in the early 2000s
He sure was right no disputing it now!
Ross Perot was a cool dude. The first trump
Joel Estes That is an unforgivable insult to Perot.
We wouldn't have Trump right now if it wasn't for Perot running back then.
Ross Perot w/ahead of his time 💫
I remember hearing his response to this question and his closing statement. How prophetic. We have to realize that, it's worked out just fine for those in control. Only the naive think we live in a democracy.
If it's all rigged why isn't Hiliary president? How did an outsider, someone hated on the left and right in Washington, get elected?
I voted for Ross and am sad for the evil that won in his place.
I wish this guy had been president, but I wasn't born till 97, so I couldn't vote.

pooperscoop54321 if he gets 15%.
pooperscoop54321 right now he's at 10%
Ross didn't really answer the question about what he would do about NAFTA. He said that the first thing he would do when elected President was to study that 2000 page agreement 2:34. That means that he hadn't already studied it when he asked to be President. There is no reason to believe that after studying the agreement he would have found anything useful to do about it.

They both sound like Non-Politicians. I like that.

Rick Hibdon. I think the word that best describes their sound would be goodness and honesty. Trump,Reagan,&Perot are/have all been true American Patriots,&the first two are/have been Great Presidents.
Both know how corporate business is run internationally and profit margins.
