Sweet video guys, can tell a lotta work went into it! Been thinking about grabbing an Ultra Bee, and TH-cam has been feeding me all kind of random surron content now 😂
New subscriber. Looks like a lot of bumps, fun & effort were put into this amazing & different display of these capable Surron e-bikes. Looking forward to seeing/hearing more of your journey. As for me, I "seriously" started looking at e-bike’s three days ago, when I tested various brands & fell in love. Now, I’m looking at the Bee’s, Revv1, Solar Eclipse & a few others… At first, I wanted mountain bike, utility & ability to pedal. Then I discovered the Revv1, moped based motorcycle looking fast & capable. Then I saw the actual e-cycles & dirt bike based e-mobiles with capabilities of upwards +45mph, which seems overkill for what I initially intended to incorporate into my purchase process. Now I’m of mind to get the extra mph, brakes & battery, instead of tweaking/upgrading heavy. Upgrades are fun/expensive & will happen irregardless of purchase; however, I’d prefer not having to replace major components until OEMs require replacing/upgrading. Long/short, I’m getting an e-bike soon, just a matter of which one, will be my first.
@The_Throttle_Bros yeah its definitely fun. I've wasted money though... like getting bomber 58s. Wish I didn't get those because I really want the Arma forks. Oh well.
How that the 2024 has the new single plug battery connection, how do you fully unlock it? I can’t find the green wire and was wondering if it’s in a new place now or there’s a whole new way of unlocking it?
Also, I've never loaded an ultra bee in a truck bed but I'm sure its easy. Its 180lbs. Get the front tire up and lift the 90lb ass end into the truck. Done. Easy. Try that with a gas 450 wet and you are lifting 125lbs while trying to hold up the rest of the bike. I'm definitely not going for a storm bee ever. Too heavy and not enough power. Ultra bee has the best power to weight ratio. 2in shorter seat height and only 4inch smaller wheel base than a 450r. Its also 65lbs lighter.
Bunch of questions have- I've owned a few dirt bikes and have been messing around with them since I was a kid. I'm looking at the Ultra Bee, how would that slot in-between my 300xcw and KX-100? I want something light but can still do the same gnarly single track & hill climbs I do on my KTM 300 (Also, I don't want all my neighbors hearing me every time I ride out)... Can the Ultra Bee fill that roll? Good Idea, or bad idea? How reliable are they? Factory defects/ warranty support? Aftermarket availability and parts price? How long do the batteries last before needing replacement? (months? years?) The whole ebike thing is totally foreign to me.I have so many questions.
I think the ultra bee would be perfect for that. It’s got tons of power and size is perfect. And if you need more power it’s easy to upgrade and not crazy expensive. It’s also nice not having to worry about gears and clutch when climbing. I’m not sure what the entire lifetime of the batteries are cause I don’t think anyone has hit that point yet but I think it’s a long time. We hardly ever ride our gas bikes since we got the surrons
@@The_Throttle_Bros Cool thanks, I think I'll look into how to buy one and if there's a dealer anywhere near where I live on the east coast. I'd guess NYC if anywhere, but the closer the better.
Ive been eyeing an eride pro ss, which is like a modded light bee right in between the ultra bee and light bee... or should i fork over an extra 2k and just the ultra bee?
I just rode a friends pro ss and it’s amazing. That’s definitely a tough one to decide. I think it still comes down to where you’re riding. If you’re riding moto tracks or trails the ultra bee will probably be a better option. Everything else like around the neighborhood and stuff like that definitely the pro ss
If you didn't want to give me the ultra bee, it would be a great gift for my family and for me, I wouldn't have to go shopping, I could just ride, that's my dream
Before i even watch it i will tell you guys, i have seen both bikes and if you plan on riding around and not getting in trouble with cops DO NOT get the ultra bee, it is not a small looking mountain bike and shouldn't be on the sidewalk
respond to me please It has been my dream to own a Sur Ron for years now. I got a job and saved up for one, but my mom took all my money for no reason. Ever since I have been saving up and only have around 300$. Please help me get a new Sur Ron. It doesn't matter what kind even if you do respond. Just any kind, please. I Think everything you guys do is funny and cool. I just saw this channel while looking at Sur Ron bike videos. So, I decided to watch more videos. My favorite is the battle royal video. Please respond At least Im subscribed
Light Bee is a joke. Ultra Bee is less of a joke. If you want to really ride. Those guys make the light bee look like one of those small bikes you see a clown riding.
I thought the same thing until I rode one. We grew up racing 450s but we’ve had a lot more fun on the Surron. It’s like riding a 110 pit bike. They’re just fun to mess around on
@@The_Throttle_Bros Totally agree. People dump so much cash into them it's kind of a shame. I have a surron, KTM XCW, trials bike, and a trials bike, they all have their own strengths. Oh, and a super moto, haha. Too many bikes or never enough?
Grant has no idea what he's talking about. I just sold my light b x to buy an ultra bee. I grew up riding dirt bikes. Sold my 450r and bought the light Bee. Sold that and buying the Ultra this Saturday.
@@callmeletstalkswgoh8182 Well, I've had a light bee, rode an ultra bee on Canyon Ridge trail in Washington (look it up), have a TE300i (in Washington), XCW300, gasgas trials bike, Beta Xtrainer and a DRZ400sm (all on Kauai, tough trails). So, if you don't think I know what I'm talking about, not sure what that is based on? 450's are tough on trails so if that's what you are riding, some other gas bikes would be good to try. People dump tons of cash into the Surrons and it just may never be what already exists on the gas side. I'm excited about the future of emoto but you have to be real about the current state. I can see certain trails where an ultra bee would be a good weapon but in the hard enduro realm, not yet.

That’s what happened with us 😂. They’re definitely worth it. We have a great time on them
One minute in and its already better then all the other comparison video. Good job
Thanks! Glad you liked it
Great video! Sur rons are so much fun! Got one with an upgraded controller and it's a blast
That’s awesome! We’re planning on upgrading our light bees soon!
Sick video! Can’t wait to see more in the future!
Thanks!

Yessir new favorite channel good stuff
Thank you!
I can't believe you made me rewind to see dad's face plant 6 times!! Lmao maybe do a rewind for us next time hahaha
Haha we will keep that in mind for next time 😂
If the ultra bee was out when i first bought, i would have chosen that. But im too invested into my light bee
The lightbee is amazing! especially with upgrades

I’m not sure with the new ones. These are still the old style
the 20s4’s come unlocked
Damn I wish I had a friend group like this!
Thanks! It helps that we’re all brothers

Hey bro! Thanks for the support! We’d love to do a surron giveaway someday in the future so keep an eye out for that
2-stroke or go home.
I agree if you’re going long distance. Other than that I’d take the e-bikes. Never thought I’d be saying that but it’s true
