Thanks so much for making this video. I can't believe how many more settings there are these days. I built my current computer nearly ten years ago. Back then there were only a few BIOS settings to change, because there weren't the plethora of different drive types, that we have now.
This was a lot of help. Spent a lot of time researching this to finally have you show me what setting to get the bios to recognize my drives so it can boot. I enabled the csm support and problem solved.
I am stuck in a boot loop. Won't boot off of my NVME (that has windows on it from a previous machine) or from any USB drive including a UEFI win10 media creation disk. If your USB is CSM this often means that the installation will also be legacy. You can try disabling CSM after you install but if it does not work, just enable CSM again.
Do not keep on CSM. This is bad advice. If you are running Windows 10 or 11, you should be running on EUFI mode, not CSM. That means your disk should be converted to GPT.

Hi, nice video. I have a question please. I want just to upgrade to Win 11 not a fresh install, but i need CSM Support enabled because even my drive C is GPT it will not boot. Im a musician producer and need to keep my files, thats why i want just to upgrade to Win 11, is there a possibility to boot on Win 11 with CSM support enabled? Cause if i must disable secure boot maybe it will not boot, is there a solution for that? Upgrading to Win 11 with csm support enabled? Thank you veru much.
Please help! I have one ssd and one hdd in my Pc, both are at 100% health and ran fine until yesterday. Now i am stuck at bios logo and cant get into the bios setup either and it wont load the operating system as well. I have OS in ssd and games in hdd. When i plug in the ssd only windows ks loaded, when i unplug the ssd and plug only the hdd it goes into bios setup saying hdd detected. But when i try to boot with both plugged in,I get stuck on bios logo and cant get pass through it. Plus when i plug in both ssd and hdd weird tick sounds comes out from the area where both my ssd and hdd are screwed. The sound goes for around 5 to 8 seconds and then pc got stuck at bios logo. i need advice is my powersupply or my bad connectors that are doing this or what is the problem why i cant get pass through the bios logo. I know its long but please give it a read and help me

Now after changing the parts its not detecting in the biot sequenze my ssd where windows is installed and even changing the csm option to legacy just like told in the comments doesnt help. After enabling csm i dont even get a picture from my motherboard or gpu anymore.

Please help, mine doesn't work because it won't let me press f12 or delete to go to easy mode. And my gpu fans stops everytime it goes to the boot menu.
You figure it out yet?
thank you verry much, you save my day.
The boot order defined in UEFI is not the same as the one displayed in the "F12" boot I put the USB key first and in the boot the USB key is displayed in fourth position? Why ?
then I can not boot on the USB key, why? Clarification: secure boot: disabled, secure mode: custom, CSM: Enabled
Brah you are the chosen one much thanks
Hey i have a problem with enableing CSM Support everytime i try to save it and reboot it gets disabled again? Any fixes? THX
Intenté lo del CSM, pero no deja cambiarlo... Hice lo del vídeo y aún así cuando reinicio, vuelve a la configuración anterior ... Necesito ayuda para poder usar una gráfica vieja, la R9 380
i installed a new ssd, this is my first time seeing this interface and have no idea what to do. all i did was take out the old one, put in the new one, and turn it on and then this pops up.
What if im in the "Q flash" and i go on update buos and my usb isnt detected.. is just says unknown device 4 times :( I'm trying to update bios to F50 to support my upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5 5600G
I have a GA-Z87X-UD5H. Is there a way to refresh the boot list? Mine is still showing entries for old drives/partitions that are no longer connected
I would try to update your BIOS. Are you sure the other boot options are not PXE or IPV4/IPV6 boot options. They are normal if so.
@@RollwithPunch I use this board for my Hackintosh machine (no Windows on there), and when I press the Del key to see the boot options/list, the list is showing any drive or thumbdrive I ever had on the system. For example, the thumbdrive I used as a boot drive to install Yosemite years ago, and even a recent one, preboot partitions, 2 mac OS drives I used to have on there, also my internal drives that are only for audio strorage etc.About 20 entries in all. It's been a while since I flashed a new BIOS, and I was wondering if clearing the CMOS would do it? I also just replaced the battery and that didn't clear these either.
I recently had a blue screen of death, and my pc is stuck on this menu, i’ve tried to reboot it plenty of times now but it keeps on coming up with the BIOS menu, can someone help?

Hi, I have the same motherboard, how do I disable the usb ports in the bios when I turn off the pc?
Thank you for the video and the translation 🙏
What if when I go into NVME configuration, I don’t have a device found. Is that a problem?
Mine doesnt show signal on monitor on a cold boot, i have to shut it off and turn it back on for it to work. Fans are spinning and lights are on. Just started recently, Last enabled ftpm and secure boot, think enabling these couldve of caused this? B550 aorus elite
Hi Nibba, I'm not sure what you mean. Can you explain in more detail?
@@RollwithPunch after my pc has been off for a while, when i 1st try to turn it on the fans and everything spin but im left with a black screen/no signal to the monitor. I have to shut it down and power it on for a 2nd time and it works. I was wondering if secure boot or ftpm can cause this because thats the last things i changed/enabled in bios before the cold boot hangs/black screen started to happen.
If it was caused by TPM or Secure Boot, normally it will completely stop working. This is usually solved with a BIOS update. Maybe you should give that a go.
I'm having the same problem with my PC (Gigabyte B560m Aorus Pro Ax), did you fix it?
@@LushUrban89 disabling ftpm and secure boot fixed it for me
Bro when i power on my pc I can't see the ultra durable screen anymore do you know why this happens??because I can't go to bios from the time that started

Sir I did all you said to do here and now I can’t see anything on my screen 😞 please help me
In my boot sequence there is only windows boot manager and when i click it says no bootable device found what should i do plz help me
it sounds like you need to enable CSM support.
I wonder why my flash drive with windows 11 doesn't have the name "WINDOWS BOOT MANAGER" no matter what i do or how i mount it. I just assembled my first machine and cannot install the OS sadly
Hi, I tried as you said. But after F10 and saving, csm goes disabled and secure boot is enabled again.. tried multiple times... Pls help
You need to disable secure boot, press f10 to save and exit. Then enable CSM and press F10 to save and exit again.
@@RollwithPunch that didn't work for my similar case. Save and exit after disabling Secure Boot does not change Active to Inactive.
