    Awesome video. I've been thinking about getting me a pair of Chelsea boots, so I may try these out.

    Cool video and company. Thanks for sharing!
    One little pedantry, if I may... what you call oxfords (closed lacing) here, are actually called derby (open lacing).

      Funny you mention that, I recorded 3 takes. Edited it a week later. I mentioned the lacing and that their site called them oxfords in all 3 takes but because I picked up the shoe and showed the laces to the camera as I mentioned it, autofocus made it blurry. So I ended up cutting it from the video.

      @@TheDadBod Yeah, I had no doubt you knew the difference between those types. I checked their website and then I wrote my comment more for reference than anything else. Thanks for replying to my comments btw! Cheers.

    I just got a pair of the Oxford style (lace) shoes. Some observations: the box they come in is very easy to open. No struggling with a lot of tape. Just an easy pull perforated tab. Inside there’s a nice canvas bag to put them in for traveling or whatever. The laces are easy to use and tie. Best of all, they look like a real dress shoe. I have bunions and the foot bed is plenty wide enough to avoid any discomfort. Extremely happy with the purchase and will most likely will get a set of loafers. I got the Obsidian black. Very nice looking shoes.

    You know, the look to me is so opposite of how you described. I will take your word about these, I also have feet issues, will give them a shot. Thank you, Bill.

    Are the leather styles easy to clean/polish?

  • @itcangetbetter

    I'm glad they fit well, but jeez they just look so cheap for the price. Maybe it's the uneven stitching and leather cutting or the dye job. I'd expect to see these for $50 in a clearance section

    • @TheDadBod
      @TheDadBod  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I wouldn’t go as far as to say $50. They’re super comfortable. But yes, the color could be a bit better. I’m working on a comparison video of many different dress shoe brands. That’s in my notes.

    Not sure if you own any, but if you do, what size Vans do you wear? This is for me to get an idea for sizing.

    Are the leather styles easy to clean/polish? Also, I have bunions. Do they have enough flexibility in the leather to stretch a bit?

    • @TheDadBod
      @TheDadBod  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      They polish up nicely.
      I would say a little stretch. Yeah.

    I have problems with getting Chelsea boots on my feet. Are these easier to pull on?

    Are these wide enough for bunions? Do you have any recommendations?

    • @TheDadBod
      @TheDadBod  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t know about bunions but I have wide feet and they form comfortably.

    It would be nice for you to add a few metrics such as wearing with a suit, flexibility, cleanability, etc.

    The black and honey colors look cheap to me. Barely better than faux leather. That being said, just ordered the grizzly suede originals and I hope they look as a good in person as they do online!
