Here's seven more: 1. At the very beginning of Halo 3, you can see the chunk of Forerunner metal that Chief used as a heat shield when he jumped from the Keyship. 2. On Floodgate, the marines at the beginning that are supposed to die inside the playable area can in fact be saved. It's very hard to get all of them, since some of them will die at the slightest hit, not to mention the infection forms raining down, but if you do keep them alive, they will stay with you until you reach the part where you have to drop down. 3 .On Crow's Nest, there's a locked door where a marine is being asked for the password to enter, a RVB reference. 4. Also on Crows Nest, there's a secret room with an automatic door that actually works. 5. On The Covenant, when High Charity arrives, Shadow of Intent's shields are down when the Flood projectile hits her. The reason is unknown, since she didn't take any significant enemy fire after entering the Ark's atmosphere. 6. Also on the Covenant, when the two Scarabs drop down, their landing spots are already marked on the ground. Also, neither Scarab will move from its spawn location, only turn in place. 7. In Halo MCC, each one has an Achievement tied it finding them. Actually, there are a lot of Achievements for MCC that are tied to finding hidden Easter Eggs and what not. For Halo 3 alone, I know they have an Achievement tied to each skull, each terminal (including the hidden Cortana one), for triggering the hidden music track in #88, for finding the hidden Grunt that talks smack to you at the end of the Warthog run, one for finding each instance of the cavemen, and I am sure many others.
Im actually surprised people didnt know about the radio signals on the Ark and 117, I thought those were the easiest to get to. And I always remember using the warthog gun next to the pelican on the Ark, so its cool that it was mentioned. I never knew about the hidden dialogue on the highway mission. super cool too :)
I’ve been playing Halo 3 since release, it’s my favorite game of all time. I thought I knew every nook and cranny to this game. There’s a few thing I never knew watching this video, awesome job
I've been playing Halo 3 and other Halo games since 2008 (still playing MCC). I didn't expect to learn anything, but I had no idea about at least 80% of these. Makes me want to explore the game more rather than just playing the same way every time. Fantastic video!!
A fun detail some friends and I found while playing is in the level Cortana. In the room where you find Cortana, if you explore around it you can find a nook walled in by flood biomass. What's interesting is you can clearly see a spot where there's two different flood textures, one the normal texture throughout the level, the other a little different. That different texture actually bleeds if you shoot it, but the other walls don't.
You can really feel the love and effort put into this game . I can only think of a few games that feel so drenched in passion like Thief The Dark Project and Resident Evil 4.
You forgot one. The layout of the final warthog run with all the panels is the same as the Silent Cartographer level from CE. It's meant to show that it's an exact replica of Installation 04.
17:00 I like how this confirms how the Elites easily one the 1:3 battle. The brutes honesty have no idea how to win a space battle, this might actually be their first.
Halo 3 is something else. There's a reason this is my favorite game of all time. The game always felt mythical to me idk why but halo 3 or the original halo trilogy for that matter had a special feeling that I can't find in any other franchise.
It’s like the the brightest star in the sky compared to other Xbox Shooters yeah sure it’s not the best. Actually I take that back it’s probably the best game series on Xbox before 4-Infinite other than Halo wars 2 that game was legendary to me.
You can actually see the space battle from the ark. If you look up you’ll see tiny light dots flying over the arks surface. I assume those are ships. I could be wrong
I literally just discovered the New Mombasa space elevator reference in Halo 3 today and I made a video on it. I thought I was the only one that had discovered it. I then get a notification about your video, and you knew about it too. I thought I had discovered something that no one else did, however, I'm glad you found it to reach a larger audience :)
That marine shaking off his fear and replacing it with courage as he equips his pistol is why I love the halo franchise so so much. Such a precious little series.
This is seriously an amazing high-quality video. It's clear that a lot of effort went into this one. You need a more appealing thumbnail though, it does not do justice
I’m so glad to see that red vs blue made it so far and even was included into the video game numerous times. Love this so much I love red vs blue. Sarge griff and simons all getting their first shipment of vehicles
nice! though you missed the 7 ring easter egg during the prophet of truth level when the chief and arbiter are going to kill him. You have to jump through the rings and recreate the soundtrack.......
47 I wonder if that’s actually the shadow of intent. As we see the flood cruiser exit slipspace in the cutscene, but we never see the elite fleet arrive
4:54 you can press any button during the cutscene to control the Chief early. All NPCs are still scripted to complete their movement in the cutscene, allowing you to get free hits on the Cheiftan before it moves to the top of the damn.
You missed a semi-importaant one atleast to us brits XD On legendary, you can hear Johnathn Ross as one of the marines (infact you hear him in this vid during the pelican transmisions on the ark lol).
15:41 Although this is true for the Original Halo 3, In Halo MCC, they added the Wrecked Warthog Variant, just as seen here, to a handful of Multiplayer Maps in Forge, including Foundry, Avalanche, and Sandbox.
Because the Halo at the end of Halo 3 was built to replace the Halo from Halo CE, the snowy canyon at the start is a replica of the original snowy canyon from "Assault on the Control Room/Two Betrayals", however, the snow bridge hasnt been formed yet. Similarily, durring the warthog run, an unfinished replica of the island from "The Silent Cartographer" is seen in the distance.
Halo 3 was such a polished and interesting game with many Easter eggs for players to take a decade to find. I wish we could see more games like this is the future.
This is the first 'things you missed in _____' video that actually has things that most people miss usually it is just things like "Master chief'snumber is 117"
Extra bit of trivia on the Pelican wing: the use of the wing is possibly a reference to an old Dutch superstition that, if a pelican (the bird) is unable to find sufficient food for her young, she will pierce her own chest and allow her chicks to drink her blood to survive; as such, the pelican in Dutch folklore is often seen as a symbol of sacrifice.
By far one of the best detail videos. So many of these you could've stretched way out, but you didn't and thats some mad respect, considering just how many facts there are
GREAT job, this hit my nostalgia hard and you found some really cool and unique things that changed my perspective on how much work went into this game. Really well done!
I love how you managed to fit in 117 things I totally knew about Halo 3 in a single video as most people just do top 10s and it's honestly pretty lazy.
One thing I just noticed for the first time recently is that enemies (at least grunts and jackals I've seen this happen to), is that if they were close to an explosion but not killed by it, they can become disoriented/stunned, walking around slowly and covering their heads while ignoring you. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I only just noticed it...
Yea I miss those days now developers just dont give a shit and only care about money and pump out souless half assed unfinished games and then make you pay $30 for DLC that should have been in the base game from the start.
@@pinstripecool34 I couldn’t agree more. I was watching a documentary on here the other day about the development of Halo 3 and it was so clear to me how much heart and soul went into the creation of this game. It really seems like it’s all about chasing the trend these days rather than making a great game for the fans to enjoy.
Here's an additional secret within halo3. When you boot it up and begin either multi-player or campaggin, you will notice a strong sense of nostalgia quickly overwhelming your body. This can only be felt after playing game in its prime and then revisiting it in 2021... Wait, there's another. If you played a certain amount of time you'd fail/drop random college courses. The infested High Charity details are really cool, and some of just few that I hadn't known. I replayed 3 hundreds of times for almost a year or two.
It’s insane how I’ve played this game 100+ times and am shocked to find even more details that I’ve never noticed
Never knew there was a chieftain who swung off the side
This made me want to play H3 right now
Same. I'm booting it up rn.
The brutes honesty have no idea how to win a space battle, this might actually be their first.
rtas was actually being quite charitable when he described it as an "even fight"
@@kabbablabba4073yeah it wasn't even close
22:38 oh chief your so cheeky, lololol. Probably my favorite, I don't think I've ever heard jon mention he has an Easter egg in H3 😅😂
9:48 this implies that the halo soundtrack is just a covenant band jamming it out during the human-covenant war
@19:13 After fighting the Chieftan, if you take his hammer there's a chance one of the brutes will shout "TAKE BACK THE HAMMER!!"
Such a precious little series.
video games will never be made with this much love and attention to detail again it seems
Still the greatest video game ever made. No contest.
And don’t forget halo 2
@@aSsAsSin-qy2be fuck halo 2 men
Nah, reach
@@whitecollarcriminal7797 reach is not even that good. Call of halo 2009
@@LiftYagami The fact that you think Halo Reach was released in 2009 is enough for me to realize that you have no idea what you're hating on.
This is seriously an amazing high-quality video. It's clear that a lot of effort went into this one.
You need a more appealing thumbnail though, it does not do justice
The AA Wraith is very OP, it makes sense why you cant drive it under normal gameplay. Love driving them though
Chief you mind telling me what you’re doing on that ship?
Sir listening to some hot jams
18:58 is probably my favorite of these. Wanna try this once I am done with my college work tomorrow.
The Arby n the Chief reference is so awesome I had no idea!
Nice video, your channel is criminally underrated. I Imagine this video took forever to make.
I’m so glad to see that red vs blue made it so far and even was included into the video game numerous times. Love this so much I love red vs blue. Sarge griff and simons all getting their first shipment of vehicles
Shows how much bungi loved RvB
nice! though you missed the 7 ring easter egg during the prophet of truth level when the chief and arbiter are going to kill him. You have to jump through the rings and recreate the soundtrack.......
I loved when halo three would mix real shit together with Concept art
"Chief will mind tell mewhat you doing with that skull"
Master chief: 5:42
"Sir, Dribble Dribble"
4:07 I remember spending so much time trying to pull this off because I wanted to see if he would still spawn at the dam lol.
Bro I can just bump into all construction workers and have a whole army? YES
47 I wonder if that’s actually the shadow of intent. As we see the flood cruiser exit slipspace in the cutscene, but we never see the elite fleet arrive
Oh, you're right. 'Cause the Flood ship actually enters from Slipspace, doesn't it?
It’s amazing how much detail is in halo 3 and how little detail is in halo 5
16:20 that's the British TV chatshow host Johnathan Ross. He's occasionally a marine voice on the later levels too.
And again at 16:35
17:38 the marine jumping into the pelican's animation is hilarious.
4:26
"Echo 5-1, this is Crows Nest!"
I swear, that sounds like Chips Dubbo over the Radio.
Im pretty sure it is, apparently he took up a post in Crows Nest’s
4:54 you can press any button during the cutscene to control the Chief early. All NPCs are still scripted to complete their movement in the cutscene, allowing you to get free hits on the Cheiftan before it moves to the top of the damn.
Okay, when I get my Xbox back from my dad's workplace (to store it there), I'm gonna explore Halo 3 levels all over again.
You missed a semi-importaant one atleast to us brits XD On legendary, you can hear Johnathn Ross as one of the marines (infact you hear him in this vid during the pelican transmisions on the ark lol).
This went into really good detail, would love to see this done for the other games.
15:41
Although this is true for the Original Halo 3,
In Halo MCC, they added the Wrecked Warthog Variant, just as seen here, to a handful of Multiplayer Maps in Forge, including Foundry, Avalanche, and Sandbox.
i swear to god why dont you have millions of subscribers your content is awesome!
Soooon
Because the Halo at the end of Halo 3 was built to replace the Halo from Halo CE, the snowy canyon at the start is a replica of the original snowy canyon from "Assault on the Control Room/Two Betrayals", however, the snow bridge hasnt been formed yet.
Similarily, durring the warthog run, an unfinished replica of the island from "The Silent Cartographer" is seen in the distance.
Thid video just shows me how much love bungie put in their games. Halo is just glorious
Reach and H3 will always be my favorite halo games of all time
Wow this was an incredible collection of details! Very well put together dude!
The fact that Arby 'n' the Chief is in H3 makes me so happy
EBR is easily one of the best Halo TH-camrs, who else puts this much effort and quality into their videos?
Love the videos man, keep em coming 🤞
Halo 3 was such a polished and interesting game with many Easter eggs for players to take a decade to find. I wish we could see more games like this is the future.
9:55 I guess aliens like halo’s music as well
You think the covenant, a highly advanced alien military would have a better radio
Yeah
This is the first 'things you missed in _____' video that actually has things that most people miss usually it is just things like "Master chief'snumber is 117"
22:10I’ve always wondered what the songs name was, and thanks to this video I am blessed with an amazing song. For years I’ve been searching for it.
I like that that the title is you may have missed instead of you missed like what if I didn’t miss that
By far one of the best detail videos. So many of these you could've stretched way out, but you didn't and thats some mad respect, considering just how many facts there are
oh man, I wonder if the creator of Arby n the Chief actually knew about that Easter egg? Lol. That's amazing I never knew a lot of this stuff
My favorite detail would have to go to the one where you can fight 1v1 against the chieftain with other brutes watch you
One thing I just noticed for the first time recently is that enemies (at least grunts and jackals I've seen this happen to), is that if they were close to an explosion but not killed by it, they can become disoriented/stunned, walking around slowly and covering their heads while ignoring you.
Maybe I'm just stupid, but I only just noticed it...
6:50 "Have you ever heard of Among Us, Demon?"
Halo 3 is such a masterpiece. So much polish and detail.
Fun Fact: At number 13, in the Brazilian dub, instead of saying "Crow's Nest" it says " Eagle's Nest "
RIP transcript.
the morse code says dont make us kick your ass
Thanks for making this! Didn't think there was much more I could learn about Halo 3 in 2021, truley a timless masterpiece.
