Scariest thing about Homelander is the fact that there is no impressing him. You can literally treat him like the god you're supposed to treat him as and he'd still laser you out of his insecurities. While I'm unsure whether this was a kill or not, Blindspot revered Homelander, just like anyone would, and what did that lead up to? Homelander rupturing his eardrums, all because he was disabled, but also to keep his fragile sense of control.
Tbh homelander actually annoys me a lot he's such a bully to everyone including his colleagues I can't wait for him to meet someone that will deal with him mercilessly like the way he does others

Honestly, I think there is only one death it was more sad instead of frightening. Black Noir's death. Homelander saw him as his only genuine friend and felt deeply hurt realizing he lied to him for years about his origins, you can see the pain he has on his face when he kills Noir
It just shows unhinged he is. Black Noir was more loyal to him and cared about him more then Soldier Boy his own father ever would have. He should have helped Noir fight him just trusting his friend was both right to betray him and lied to him for a valid reason. But the guys to unhinged to actually think critically.
Yeah most of his kills even his own teammates and friends he kills without worry or mercy, but killing black noir was really hard for him, could see him hesitation on his face, and looking sad that he hated his lies but loved his loyalty
You should watch the series Banshee. Anthony Stark was insanely good in that one as well. Really talented cast as well. Don't watch the movie Banshee though, that is just random garbage.

The only way to punish Homelander in a meaningful way is not to kill him but to take his powers away and make him live like a normal person.

One of the greatest supervillain ever created. Anthony Starr is perfect for this role just like RDJ as Tony Stark, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Henry Cavill as Superman. No one else can play Homelander.
Also Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan as Xavier and Magneto.

Vader scared me as a kid, Homelander scares me as an adult. I know its a TV show but as soon as he is on screen I'm afraid for any other character on screen with him.

His first kill lasering the plane at the end of first episode was just shocking and iconic at the same time , with passengers song in the background.
I really thought homelander was good in episode 1 but writers schooled us in the end.
And they didn’t even stop there: I remember after seeing that, I was like “Oh, well, I bet he’s not as evil as the rest of them, he’s probably a brainwashed tool.” And I was right about the brainwashed part, but boy oh boy was I wrong about him not being the most evil one lol.
Felt pretty fored, though. In the comic this happens by accident - and he's overall manipulated even more.
Comic overall is worse, though.
There is no single villain in recent history that is as terrifying as homelander.

Especially if they're good at masking it, in a world of supes owned by corporate you can never tell who's a villain and who's a hero until it's too late. I love this series so much because it's real. Super powered people with their flaws and insecurities. I've argued so many times that if Superman were real, he wouldn't be this perfect being that he's always portrayed as.
Superman is not human though. He was an alien raised in a good place. Homelander is some lab rat.
Superman is only as good as he is because of John and Martha Kent. Without them instilling dignity and respect into him, he could have become a monster like Homelander, or worse.
Exactly i like marvel and DC but we all know if humans had power or even magic like the lord of the rings, elder scrolls etc. We know we would have some crazy OP villians like homelander and worse they would be VERY good at hiding it being "heroes" 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾

The thing is that this series depicts perfectly what would happen exactly, if a person or persons had super powers, and i mean super powers, from the kind that you cannot put them down, with a bullet , .50cal, missile, F-16, A-10, or tank sabot.
Total control, fear and dictatorship! There is now other way around.

When SB and Butcher first fought HL, SB recently had used his blast which weakened him after, and he held his own against HL for a while. Meanwhile, Butcher was pretty much at a stalemate with HL. Then when they all fought in the tower, SB made easy work of Billy who was basically as strong as HL. This is because SB hadn't used his blast yet so he wasn't weakened. He also had better combat skills and a shield. I think SB is as strong and as durable as HL if not more.
