The staredown between homelander and butcher made this scene 10x better
Also the fact that Butcher was able to just vanish right under his nose.
The guy who can hear a pin drop across the city, see through walls at miles away, and can move faster than the speed of sound.
Granted, yes, Homelander was distracted, but still lol.

A-Train is that character that you finally think he's gonna be good and root for him to be good and start forgiving his actions solely to in the next scene to find out he snitched and didnt change at all

yeah my thought, I thought they'd make it more exciting by having then run longer distances and requiring them to slowly accelerate to their max speed
Paying for 144 hertz monitors, although the human eye is not able to distinguish such a thing, is also madness, but people do it.
And yet we're paying to see a game where people from 2 different teams kick a ball for a few hours and even if one of them wins we won't be getting anything.

Just realized that at 0:17 A-Train actually leaves and injects himself with V, I thought he was just tweaking out 😂
Its fun because he just blinked, but the race was what it seems 400m and took 1 second. It means that unless he had the v in the locker room, he went for it, injected and came back in less than a second
@@Ankhyl yeah a lot of A-Trains feats are far more impressive than his recorded time in this race, the writers weren’t paying too much attention to the accuracy of his speed

The funny part homelandar being confused is he must have seen through his xray vision why bucther is crawling down through the audience to make it seem as if he has dissapered
Its funny how inconsistent the Speedsters are.
Here A-Train is boosted as hell to 371m/s, but thats actually kinda slow compared to how he sometimes acts as if time around him is standing still.
It's hard to scale speedsters consistently and make them interesting and not so op at the same time, it's to put limits on them so that they can't just solo everything like a realistic with nonrealistic type deal but what ur saying is true.
My guess is that A train needs much longer to properly accelerate since the announcer said that he can run 1000mph so yeah I think A train is just better at running long distances.

Eh. It cuts close. It’s only a difference of 29 milliseconds or so, Not a Huge difference. Bear in mind that Shockwave is younger too and is already that fast without taking extra V, Made sense to replace him with A-Train. A little more training and he’d be faster than A-Train on V in no time.
Shockwave would've won the race, A-Train had to cheat using compound V to maintain an advantage and Shockwave was still tailgating him with just raw speed.

This race was inaccurate, A-Train was in the inner circle and had a shorter track than Shockwave

Because of the way tracks are built, outer lanes have to cover slightly more distance than inner rings for full laps (turns are longer on the outside). It’s for this reason you’ll see racers on outer lanes of a track start slightly ahead in real life.
@@joshwakefield8980 those few meters from lane 1 to 2 don’t make a difference to the result of the race when the difference in speed is of 29 mps
It’s like putting Michael Johnson to race a normal person in a 400m race and they both start at the same line
He does it in 43 seconds and the person in a minute
If the person had the few meters of compensation maybe they’d do 58 seconds but they would still ultimately lose, is what I’m saying 👍

I don’t think Joshwake was responding to you, I think they were responding to the original comment by explaining why Shockwave and A-Train would start at different positions on the track and how it might seem unfair but it actually isn’t.
Edit: Actually, now that I’m looking at it more closely, the original commenter is right. They *should* start at different positions but they start at the same, which means the distance they’re covering is different. I retract my original statement. In either case, an unfair track is an unfair track, regardless of who finishes first and by how much.

The odds were against him in every way, not just with A-Train on V, but because he was in the outer rim, he had to cover more distance giving him a slower time
Even being apparently invincible, Homeland can be intimidated. Deep down, he is a coward, while Butcher is not.
hes not used to people standing up to him. he is used to people doing exactly as he says when he wants. so Butcher puts him at ill ease.

They should’ve had a formula 1 style race with 100+ laps considering how the racers move at 4x the speed of a race car and the track is like 1/10th of a racecar track. A train and shockwave could clear 100 laps on a normal track in 3 minutes
Technically, the compound-V may not have even won him the race, A-train had a considerably shorter distance to run as they started on the same place alone the track with A-train on the inside
