I get the impression from her relationship with Hughie that she thinks of him as being a pet. She wants to be the one saving the day, and Hughie has to jump when she says jump. In a way, Butcher is right about all supes because they don't think of ordinary human beings as being their equals. That's what makes Stan stand out. The dynamic is completely reversed with him.
@@decepticonxhunter4850idk where the hell you got the impression of her treating hughie as a pet??? Their relationship seems literally much healthier than any other relationships in this series. Ofc there is a big power imbalance, she is a supe and he is not but I never once saw her demeaning him for it, are we watching the same show?infact it was hughie who got a bit insecure about him not able save her when in reality she didn't mind him being powerless.
I love how Homelander could snap any moment, achieve world domination while being completely immune to anything and still he has so much respect and fear of Stan.
Giancarlo Esposito's typical cold expression made this clip even better.
This show was so well cast. Every single actor has filled their roles perfectly. The casting director needs to be made co-CEO of Sony Pictures.
Honestly I can't wait to see what stan does in season 4 because remember he literally left but I'm interested to see what she does because he's literally that one person that can get under homelander skin besides Billy butcher.
man i could watch Stan Edgar persuade Starlight everyday. How he talk is a smooth way to drag people in.
The zoom in on his expression is hilarious 😂
1:19 😂...i swear starr has the most hilariously horrifying faces of any actor i ever seen...is unmatched
Lol he actually said " excuse me "
In an alternate universe:
(Stan sits down)
Homelandander: You are in my spot.
(Stan then stares at Homelander with no emotions on his face.)
Homelander: Never mind dad-I mean Stan.
“Good, I hope he does” 🗣️🗣️🔥
"schedule is full but I'll try to find you a window" bro sounds like Michael Scott
0:18 Homelander hopping to take the middle chair is HILARIOUS 😂😂😂, gotta love him being terrifying, goofy and so vain at the same time.
1:18 Have not seen the show, but I know enough about Homelander, and the public's been going crazy for this guy's acting. That face, right there? That isn't fear, or shock, or disbelief. That's a combination of all three, plus a freeze response. That is a dead, features-go-slack moment when your brain just turns completely off because your worst fears have been realized. Not many movies have pulled it off.
So, yeah. I'd say Starr is a phenomenal actor.
Can't wait to play Homelander in the upcoming DLC of Mortal kombat 1.
Same. Too bad he drops in spring 💀
I just want to see some of the MK fighters treat that preening psychopath the way Omni-Man did in Death Battle.
@@danieldickson8591That's why Homelander is gonna be my biggest punching bag in the game.
Yeah but you already have it in COD.
😊
@@thebufoon cod is terrible
The way he laughs at 2:05
And then the "mmmm" 😅
You know I heard Homelander was this small-minded monster of a supe in the comics but the fact that the show creators made him into an expert with his words & less with his violent acts & also more of a master emotion manipulator really made him a much better villian than I had expected. I really want Anthony Starr to accept his future Emmy award in his Homelander outfit. A real game changer.
Stan is amazing...Even the strongest gets ordered around by stan..and Stan is like I have power...Not you.
Please, is Anthony a real person? Is the world a glitch? Are we in a simulation? How can somebody embody a character as much as this? Terrified, Shocked, Angry, and stressed at the same time. 😂
1:18 My man is STUNNED
Stan was such a good character it was a shame that they got rid of him
I think we haven't seen the last of him. And even if we have, it's a pretty decent outcome for Stan compared to some of the grisly ends some other characters have met
Oh man there’s a scene coming up with him from the comics. It’ll be the best one you’ve seen of him and Homelander yet.
@@assassinsknightcan you spoil it
what if...
he recovered Black Noir's corpse?
My headcanon: Stan will most likely die on homelanders hands due to his big ego even thought he retired homelander will maybe think that stan is plotting something
“Oh, look at you, afarm girl far away from Kansas, bright eyed. Just like Dorothy” 😁😁😁
“Actually, I’m from Iowa and not a farm”
“Eh, same thing”
Honestly my favorite part. I wonder if Stan actually didn’t know where she came from or if he was just messing with her.
I strongly doubt there's anything about the Seven that Stan Edgar doesn't know. But her real background is irrelevant, it's the public's image of her that Stan can use.
Nah, he know it. He just can't care less.
Stan: You’re just a child… in a cape.
I really enjoy how he talks to homelander.😅
I miss stan. He had homelander under, at the very least, a bit of control. Nowadays a massacre happens in a university, homelander shows up, helps the people commiting the massacre and Vought just sweaps it under the rug
Stan I think has the power to calm people, which is why Homelander doesn't kill him outright.
I know this is one of his low-billed roles that Esposito is obligated to do but man I really wish he had more screentime. A boss that doesn't show an ounce of fear putting down Homelander is such a fascinating concept.
Her expression was I'm going to die, I'm going to die, I'm going to die. lol
Homelander is actually the reason why we don't have real-life superheroes. He's such a child, amongst other things
I mean - it’s not the reason we don’t have real-life super heroes. 😂
I get what you’re trying to say though.
That little extra skip that Homelander does to try and beat Stan to the head chair is so funny LMAO
the fact homelander even said "excuse me star light, i need the room. I have a meeting with edgar" is wild to me coming from the guy who also said "I can do whatever i want"
It did sound very uncharacteristic of him.
He's probably thinking about the meeting more than Starlight at that moment
I just knew Stan was going to be a formidable opponent. The actor was incredible in Breaking Bad.
Homelander seems unable to kill anyone who stands up to him its like his kryptonite or something.
It's interesting that Esposito seems to just play shades of Fring now. He actually has incredible acting range he just doesn't show it so much anymore
Bring on season 4 already
EXACTLY!!!!
Let’s get the writers and actors a fair deal first.
@@IllRaw-kv5cdbro they deserve fair compensation for their work
@@jasonuchiha3748 They are all millionares living extremely privileged lives. You are defending a bunch of whiny children who play dress up for a living and get paid for it.
@@matth3w2002No way! The series is not going to be any better or worse for that.
'As long as I am CEO of Vaught he's under control'. How true those words were...
Anthony is one of the best actors of our generation you could really feel the desperation of him wanting head chair
THE WAY homelander was trying to run to the chair first like a child
God, Starlight was so pretty back then. Alarming what has happened since then... :(
I think Stan is gonna end up having some kind of crazy superpowers.
This crazy accurate regarding how things really work. When I was briefly Leader of The Seven, this kind of stuff happened all the time.
They let a cat lead The Seven? Considering the amount of cat videos on the Internet, that actually kinda checks out and makes sense.
Can someone explain what Stan meant when he said as long as he was CEO Homelander is under control “and we both know why” ?
So well acted by everyone in this scene. Love this show.
“When does the board vote” man was about to fly out that chair & start changing minds
This is why I love this show. Homelander can laser them, crush their skulls or any other form of bodily travesty, but, it's real power that keeps him under control, the chess game they are all playing that could have dire consequences that makes this show so riveting!
Remember the immortal words of Jock Ewing - 'to get real power, you have to take it'!
The way Stan Edgar kicked Homelander out of the room is on the same league as Tywin sending Geoffrey to bed without his supper ^^
Stan's brisk walk cannot be challenged. Effortless.
I’m shocked that Homelander didn’t just execute him in front of Starlight
Have you seen the show he wouldn’t kill edgar?!?
say whatever but the room of "the seven" meeting place is just aesthetic beauty
Starlight be stuttering - “cu…….co-captain?” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Homelander seems to forget his super speed
Turns out it's true what Stan says here. Starlight's Instagram fame is a very formidable asset to her. True power really is the power to bend people to your will.
