So, I'm likely never to run in any of these shoes and have almost no interest in the brand... but I watched this entire video and was enthralled with the wit, stayed for the laughs and enjoyed the new "sit cut" ShoeTuber meta... taking on Aubrey's "slap change" meta...
🤣 found my thing. Now if only I can befriend some brands and get some bibs to London or Tokyo because that looks to be the only way I will ever potentially run those marathons, not that I have to run the world majors to feel complete
Mizuno...†he better Nike. In all seriousness, I'm surprised you haven't tried Mizuno, given your location. The quality is high, they fit well (their uppers are great overall), they are relatively stable, and on the firmer side. The wave rider would be my everyday trainer except for the 12mm drop.
@@thewalls7770 Mizuno is VERY popular here in Taiwan for golf, baseball and badminton. Old men or very young kids wear the brand. I almost never seen runners in them and if I do it’s a pair that looks about 20 years old, and the person has no intention of ever changing them. Mizuno retail stores have none of the models people talk about in the west, like in this video…. Shoes stores have very few Mizuno on the shoe wall. Japanese products, fashion and shoes are huge here in Taiwan…. But for runners it’s nearly 100% Asics for Japanese brands. Asics and Hoka are the two biggest brands here now.
I love my Neo Vistas! They ruined my shoe rotation because I never reach for anything else. They are fun, bouncy and can handle any pace. But! The outsole grip is awful. I have slipped on wet pavement. The outsole durability is just ok. Mizuno put such good outsoles on other shoes, hopefully they upgrade that in the next version.
Hi! Thanks for the perfect review of Mizuno "super shoes". I'm a big fan of this company for almost 10y, besides I'm far from Japanese standards. I'm more or less tall and quite heavy, so, for me the well adapted models of Mizuno are : wave rider, wave inspire, wave horizon and wave neo ultra.
I agree with you, my weight is 194 pounds and Neo Vista for me is soft with bounce a bit, so is comfy buuuuuuuut when I see my recording I see that compress A LOT and in downhill roads feels freaking unstable! anyway I can tell you for me weight and height (5.9) works at 85%! so can be use for heavy runners but not at the best. Skyward X is another story! bounce a lot, soft but you feel that support there! sooo for an easy ride to enjoy it Neo Vista, for more support and longer distances my Skyward X. Side note: Heavy runners do not buy the Adidas Prime X2, is amazing but is a wild horse! it requires technique to master it hehehehe.
Yeah the skyward x is also a little more efficient with the energy return, but I still love the Neo vista . I agree on the prime x strung 2. I didn’t love it at first because of the instability . It grew on me
Thanks for this. Mizuno is very under-rated. Even more under-rated is the Flash 2 which has to be the best shoe that almost no one has reviewed. Other than Andrea Meyers from DOR, Run.Are here in Australia and of course, yourself, the Flash 2 has pretty much been universally ignored yet it is such a fun shoe to run in.
I agree. I love it and I’m excited to see where they go with the next version, more aggressive, more minimal etc …underrated is the right word I believe
Arrived a bit later to the party , quality content, nice assesment of their current range (from your view ) looks like there are possibly cross over's in the range , so would you say you could possibly have more then one rotation from their current family of shoes.?
I think so. I think there is a lot of overlap to the daily running, which isn’t a bad thing since that’s most running is easy running. I think there is a lot of potential in 2025, specifically with the Neo vista and the race day option rebellion pro 2. I hate to compare them to Adidas but if they’re charging the same price , I have to hold them to the flame. They’re getting closer
Amazing video! We have so much to chose from that I ask myself ONE question... when will the price for shoes drop finally and not get more and more expensive
I stopped caring about these shoes around 3 min. All I need to say is it’s a crime that you don’t have 1 million subs… absolutely love the sit downs… absolutely love your content! Anyway, back to the video…
Oh man! I have faded in all but one marathon so far in which I started very easy for the first 5k. I keep telling myself to run 5 beats slower until midway but I get too caught up on race day. Next one! 💪🏼
@@MidLifeRunner It was the shoes fault! Pro 3s. Go go go shoes. But legs only go go gone. That and the ski jump start. Bet you do a fast one in pro 3s if the legs can take it. Back to Prime X for me.
Hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your Prime Xs cause he be Mizuno' everybody out here.

Right, that guy is so funny and informative!
Same here, Mizuno never gave me anything, well build... good shoes, very expensive but... not for me.

Yeah I found myself reaching for it a lot instead of testing other shoes too. I think they will put a stickier outsole on the next one
Amazing video!!! man I looooooooove my Neo Vistas!!!
Everyone needs a signature. Yours is sitting in each shot. I love it.
Mizuno was my first serious running shoe

I’ve yet to try the inspire, horizon and Neo ultra. I will definitely have to give them a run! Thank you for the feedback

First things first. Great stuff, love the up close means it's important. Then 😂 big props you got me with the last one. Here's to funding the tesla.
Annnd I get to save with no oil changes . Rolling in it!
I don't understand the hate for this brand, Ive had several pairs and they have all been top notch
Let's say you're right about Mizuno being best for Japanese sized people. Would Hoka being an american brand be best for the obese?
@@Nyelands yes absolutely 100% . Nailed it
