Just got these today along with a few other to try and this one blew the others out of the water (NB SC elite 3 & Hoka cielo road). I’ve been looking for an up tempo trainer that can double as my race shoe for 5k-10k maybe up to a half. I’m a natural heel striker and I have had no issues in fact these seem to be correcting my form. Almost beat my 5k PR (24:30) without even realizing it at about 75-80% effort. This is definitely worth trying for anyone in the market.
I have these exact shoes and have ran over 200km in them and only at 4:00-4:15min/km (Tempo) runs, and they feel great, you get the feeling you can run a race in them and they would be just fine, as in doing some faster paces will only feel just as good. Like Thomas said, the Achilles and upper calf can feel a bit more strained at first, as it is being used due to the ~0mm drop, but once used to it, it is fine. Good companion in the lineup for marathon training.
Got these and did a quick 4 miles, felt they were kinda a boring ride. Upgrade to the Pro model did another quick 4 miles. The inner sole already started to peel and show significant wear, ended up returning them too. It’s a nice shoe, very cool look on foot. Going to pick up the Saucony Endorphin pro 4 or maybe the Salomon S/Lab Spectur
The idea with these carbon, all out “pro” shoes is that they’re meant to be used when it absolutely counts, like a race, TT etc. that’s why shoe brands have been making “families” out of shoes. Is it scientifically better to rotate? Nobody knows, but marketing and sales would definitely dictate this. I think the rebellion is here to compete with the Saucony Speed, ASICS Magic Speed, Nike Fly, Adidas Boston/Tekumi Sen, etc. the great fast track/tempo shoe, but isn’t a daily trailer and isn’t a racer. I can’t dictate your purchases obviously, just some food for thought. Think of it like…a triathlete, not every bike ride is done in aero gear, with an aero helmet and a TT bike, a majority is done is a normal kit, with an airy helmet and unshaven legs.
@@peturf1788 I agree with you on where they’re position this model against the competition. I “accidentally” ended up with a pair of Nike Alphafly Next% and daily those for last 2 years. They’re still in good condition but I got the recycled next nature edition and they upper split on me. Trying to find a similar shoes that equals or too that technology has been tough.
@@Fredo.heavyy if you like the Alphafly and its "tech" (the air zoom pods) and if you like running fast/tempo, chances are that you will like the Nike Tempo Next .. my fav shoe and I own waaay too many
Love these and the pros also. Only concern that’s keeping me from running in them consistently and in long runs is the pronation feels a little more out of control vs other shoes that are also neutral. Fwiw most shoes work for me and I understand the pronation moment in this design probably is part of the magic in a quick turnover, but does anyone else get that feeling the pronation is a little abrupt?
Why the jingle?? I just don’t get it. It’s such a distraction to what you guys are trying to say and talk about the shoe. Just talk about the shoe. Don’t try and entertain me. I have Netflix for that.
If Karl is BEHIND the camera, he’s on the wrong side! More of Karl! Great job. 👍
More Karl in front of the camera! Great job!
I appreciate it! Thanks for watching! -Karl
Carl keeping it simple and fitting in on camera w/o trying to match Thomas’s energy or trying too hard. Way to go!
Karl… LEGEND.

Just did a half training run straight out the box. Great shoe. Very protective. Cruised at 6:30 miling
Karls got the camera face and camera voice! Awesome review 👌

Good feedback. Thanks.
Never worn a Mizuno but kinda wanna try this one just for those days when you wanna work on form it seems it'll help keep you on forefoot
Karl did a great job in his first review, could have been his hundreth just as well! Hope he gets more chances to review.
Good review and excellent job, Karl!! You nailed it!
Looks and specs make me think of the GlideRide, no? Beginning of a new era for Mizuno (like ASICS 3-4 years ago)?
Good afternoon. First Like from Spain 🇪🇸. Have a great day.
good work Karl!
very interesting shoe 💭 so is it a minus Zero drop? I'd give it a try later on in the season tho. BTW Karl is dropping great vibes as a reviewer 👌

Hello Karl!
I’m confused why it’s important they share a shoe size if they each got a pair? Anyhoo…
Thank you for introducing up-to-date sneakers.
Obviously, compared to other options on the market, price seems a bit high.

I own both and I don't have this problem. Maybe it's my mechanics.
do comparison vs Soucany Endorphin Speed 4
Karl with a pro reviewer voice going on
Good job Carl!!
Almost a zero drop without feeling like a zero drop, very impressive.
Forgot about wave rebellion pro 2!
How many steps could Robbe take before his ankles collapse?
Negative steps
Gonna need a karl and robbie video
LET’S GO KARL 👟 🏃♂️ 🪽
Karl's got that smooth chocolate voice!
KARL!!!!!!!!!!!
How does the shoe handle longer runs?
We have both done 10+ mile runs in them and the comfort is there.
GO KARL!!
Make him catch a shoe
what shoes in the upper right?
The arch is too narrow to me!
ATARASHII GAKKO! - Tokyo Calling
where's robbe
$170 - shoes companies and people keep normalizing these new price point for shoes... thx but no thx
I was expecting to like this show but holy hell is it an ankle breaker. All that squishy Ener-z just collapses to nothing under the arch.

agree, cut the weird music or whatever that is
Literally not even halfway through and can't listen anymore, I have no idea what you're saying with that noise playing over you.
