      Not yet but one day i will fill it up and give it a good long run and see. it runs that well i bet a fit person could easily ride it around austraia
      i will do a full tank run in say a month time and that way i can do a pull over and do a coffee break stove light-up along the way.
      no risk of starting a fire then.
      got some real nice footage coming up in the next 4 clips on the motorcycle side. really good stuff with nice drone coverage too
      all the best!

      @@dondle2 yeah i had the suzuki vstrom 250 sx out doing a future clip for the 5 bike series. got some good drone shots of it climbing a hill but i think i might put it in next week and get the same tyres i put on the classic 350 on this one.
      they are just good tyres i think i will have no choice there.
      plus i bought a cheap gold detector too and might use the suzuki to go bush and try it out
      either way the suzuki is a nice cheap ride which runs extremely well

    Nice review, Warro. I’ve got the same Vespa (white 2023 GTS300 SuperSports) and love it. I’ve added a Vespa brand top box to solve the storage problem (also a padded backrest for a pillion passenger - my wife says it’s comfy back there) and mid-sized screen, which takes a lot of wind off especially on the highway, and gives good hand protection. The bag hook above the glovebox is also very handy for extra storage. As you say, brakes and suspension are very good (love the ABS and traction control, especially in the wet or on the loose stuff). It’s really good to hear/see your experience with it (mine is my first Vespa) and comparison with other bikes. Keep up the good work. Ride safe. 👍🏼

      great to hear your enjoying the vespa experience. this too is my first vespa but ive had a few xmax 300's and honda forza 350 and adv150
      i like the vespa the best and they perform extremely well for near 300cc's
      great scoot.

    Nice review, Warro! Had a Vespa 125, back in 1962... Not really my style of bike these days - I'll stay with the Guzzi 750 - but this Vespa does look nice and, as you say, it apparently runs nicely too.

    I am looking forward to this review of your bike collection Warro. The Vespa doesn't float my boat but the scooter has it's place. I did think you had two RE Classic's but where is the light blue one, I don't remember you selling it! 😊👍🏍

      yeah i sold it to a guy for $4500 i tried to sell the red/chrome but no interest there. i just had 2 bikes one doing something the halcyon grey and the new red chrome doing zero.
      on another note i still have a brand new halcyon grey tank -never used and if need be i was thinking i might put that tank on this bike and mask up the red guard stripes and paint them blue.
      something to think about now as weather is getting cold here

    If interested, there is an aftermarket pillion peg offering that works quite well. I had the same problem when my spouse and I doubled up and it was particularly hard for us as I have a very short inseam. Installed the relocators and it was a much better (& more safe) ride for both of us. We are in the states and purchased them from a shop in San Diego, CA. Thank you for all of your postings. I enjoy the varied content.

    Good review of the little bike. I'm deeply suspicious of those small wheels for our soaked and rutted roads in the UK. They are mainly an around town bike here. I was cheering you on to get past that caravan and then the big lorry, well done!🙂🙃

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  หลายเดือนก่อน

      thanks and i was maybe half throttle on that hill and its one of the steepest about here. i dont like using full throttle much so rarely do. more the smooth feed on approach.
      over your way the soaked side of the roads may be covered by the traction control but tram lines could be an issue.
      once i get on the bigger wheel bikes with the 19" front/128 rear combo the steering side is quite noticable there.
      all the best!

  • @robinkemp6845

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      gee thats a hard one...lol but i can say this. ive been testing all 5 bikes this week and they are all extremely good rides and some even good value for the money.
      now i think i have the pick of the smaller 300cc bikes and some may disagree but what splits me is ive owned 70 brand new motorcycles over past 12 years and the knockers...lol not many!
      now these 5 in question cost me roughly $45,000 and i suppose i could have 2 real top bikes for that money but i dont think id have any fun for fear of scratching them.
      back to the vespa -it pulled the last hill in clip where i passed the trucks at around 95 kph and i was roughly half throttle too. i never or very rarely wrap the throttle out on any bike. besides the younger riders have better wrists...lol or more practise.

    You can buy footpeg extensions Warro they are billet aluminium and work well, I have also made some on one of my Vespas. Interested in how the handling is with new front suspension- it would be great for you to ride a 2009 model on GTS300 to compare, they had 2/3 different front ends before this model.

    Although I am not a scooterr guy, the quality of your Vespa looks very strong. No load on the engine at highway speed is impressive. I may be wrong , but the wheelbase looks an inch or so less than they were even ten years ago. Good review Warro.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  หลายเดือนก่อน

      it would run easy in the 100/110 kph side pretty easy and after riding the other bikes the smaller wheels are noticable but after a few miles all good there.
      plus i ride it 99% of the time with traction control on so its pretty well behaved there.
      i have seen where some have placed a 13" front on these but not sure its this model.
      overall it rides bumps well-i stay clear of potholes and overall not a bad ride indeed
      all the best!

    I keep having the idea that I should try a scooter.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      not much i can say there. 5 years back a guy i know bought a new vespa and i said wanker...lol he said to me best you try before you cry warro...lol
      so maybe a year later i thought i might just give one a go as i really prefer real motorcycles..lol
      enjoyed it that much i had to try more...
      so my thoughts are you'll either like them or not but if out on the open road you'll need 300cc as the smaller units i had freeze a bit on the hills.
      best of all they are near vibration free and surprisingly quick off the mark too.
      mine would be even quicker if i dis-engage the traction control but its there for a reason and im happy with the power output.
      although its only a button press to get it out of the way

    The Vespa is almost certainly the best-looking scooter you can buy, and your praise of it had me thinking that it would be neat to add one to the shed, but then came the footage from your ride home. I don't think I could handle that exhaust sound for more than 30 seconds at a time. Is it really that awful, or was the microphone playing tricks? Thanks for the video!

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  หลายเดือนก่อน

      i dont mind the exhaust note really...lol but there are guys who put quality exhausts on them for say $600 to $1000bucks and are quite happy there.
      i cant see it happening my way as ive wanted big $$$ on exhausts and prefer less noise now.
      thats coming from a car nut who spent $4000 on a high performance exhaust system...lol not any more!
      in fact as the tests go on its probably the grom which sounds the best with a rather cheap aftermarket $90 ebay muffler followed on by the honda gb350 enfield and suzuki 250 sx
      great to hear you enjoyed the clip too. its cooling down here so wont be long when i get out and do a ride and cook...lol
      all the best!

    If you are still interested in those accessories for the Vespa, might be worth phoning through to the spares department of one of the Vic Peter Stevens dealers. I think the specialist scooter dealers might rip you off, and as PS sells Vespas (along with everything else), could be worth a call. Don't bother with the PS website - not user friendly.
    I got a genuine Vespa rear rack for $60 for mine and with a 30 litre Givi topbox all up under $200. Now the rack was on special but even standard pricing would be way under what you were quoted.
    I suggest a 37 litre Givi for your Vespa which is bigger and wider than my Sprint. But either will take a full face helmet.
    Re the flyscreen, I got one thrown in with my bike. I fitted it and found it was noisy with my full face Shoei, but OK with a jet helmet for some reason. Anyway I removed it as I like a quiet bike.
