its not super obvious with some chapters/legions, but of all, iron hands sucsessors really point out just how "don't like X colour (black)? Heres a sucsessor in another colour for you to use :)" of how sucsessors can be 'w'
A while back, after I learned about the Iron Hands's history with the Keys of Hel, I came up with the idea of a successor chapter I call "The Phantom Pains". An Iron Hands successor that preserved the methods of techno-necromancy the Legion used during the Horus Heresy, so as to keep marines fighting long after death. So if I ever got around to making some, I'd mix in a bunch of undead bits to their normal Iron Hands bionics, creating sick-nasty undead marines. (They're called the Phantom Pains because 1) the have a geneseed mutation that makes them feel the pain of lost limbs, and 2) to symbolically represent the pain they feel over the loss of Farrus Manus, their battle brothers, and their lost humanity.) I'm thinking silver and purple, with a chapter symbol of an Iron Hands style hand, but in light purple (as if it's a ghost hand). With yellow lighting bolts cascading from their augmetics, to symbolize the titular sensation in their bodies.
Iron Hands! :D My favorite loyalists, with some very interesting and niche successors, you’ve got a goldmine here lol. Thanks for putting this video out there. :>
Good video, i was sceptical about the silver drybrush over the entire model but it really turned out great for a striking mini on the tabletop, i think that's a fantastic tip for new painters. It's a really personal thing but i actually prefer the big Iron Hands successors to look pretty vanilla (with the possible exception of the Red Talons) as i like to think they represent the Controlled Fury of Ferrus Manus in his prime. I also personally prefer the Sons of Medusa in their classic 'scorpion' green rather than the pure green they seem to be depicted in now.
Similar to the Iron Warriors video you drew earlier. Have you considered giving the Iron Hands a metal arm or two as well. Similar to Marvel's Winter Soldier.
I really like your videos, and these kitbashes are great, and I know this is probably super pedantic, but please pick one tense to use in your script (I am, I was, I will be, etc.); it's driving me a little bit nuts lol.
Oh my god I spent months thinking up and picking a colour scheme for my homebrew chapter... and they're just the knights of byzantium with only one white shoulder, it is marble tho.... I used murder scene for the main color
Don’t worry, plenty of people have a custom chapter designed and then find a canon chapter that looks a lot like their custom one. Mine looks quite a bit like the Dark Krakens
Lil bit of yes but mostly from my own desire to make videos on fan favorite/niche chapters. I definitely wanna do more personal level videos with 3 Marines at the most c:
The brazen claws dude looks so good! They're all good but quartered colors really makes them pop.
26:15 "BRAUWNZ". that byzantium is amazing!
I love iron hands man. The defacto underrated chapter.
HALF AN HOUR OF KITBASHING GOODNESS

Can't really validate this more than I already am.

I didn't know the iron hands had so many successor chapters! They really seem to be a-head of the game.
When the Iron hands do go buck wild it’s world eater levels of rage lmao. Another banger of a video!
Really like this format of video! You definitely should keep doing more successor chapter kitbashes!
this is the video i didn't know i needed!
and HALF AN HOUR of it too.
Ah hell yeah! I'm doing a IH/Brazen Claws list for my first space marine army with colored metallics.
Thanks for sharing, they all look amazing!
Nice to see the IH successors get some love. At least someone’s giving it to them.
Where are my bois in da Red Talons? 😤
Red talons rise up
the metallic drybrush is a fantastic idea and looks realistic . i often use drybrush but i never had the courrage to do it with metal paint .

Amazing video as always 👏 ❤🔥
i used a purple wash on my brazen claws to unify the colors, not sure if it was a good idea on my part but i love the way it looks
Absolutely stellar work mate! Your brush control is so smooth and precise. I'm jealous. Jk, good work! Subbed.
You're more than capable of getting to that point yourself, just keep at it >:)

Should have left some if the white on the brazen claw to make him look like a rocket pop

Nice results. Technically you are only 3 marines away from a Kill Team of Iron Hands successors...
awesome bud
