Crusaders: "We will surrender under on condition." Coftyrans: "And that is?" Crusaders: "We were just wondering if you would like to hang out with us and smoke weed and fill our bellies with DIET SODA and play Burnout Revenge for the PS2"
18:52 "How do I look, yellow man" 🦐 In all seriousness I'm loving this. It just feels so much more interesting than seeing the monotonous gw minis. I wonder if my LGS would have any of these lads❤✌️
For wood, if you take a small brush (can be an older semi-retired brush) and paint on some light brown or khaki lines, and then hit it all with a brown wash it gives a very easy to do wood grain effect. Doesn't take high skill or time since the lines for the grain don't need to be precise at all.
I've never actually been interested in miniatures painting or anything like warhammer. I found your Quar video and i got interested by the design. Well, i guess i like this now! THE DUDES
Just picked up the starter box after watching your last video, very exciting to get started on these guys! Love their silly faces and dumpy torsos haha
I've seen these mini's a few days ago at the store I order from. They have made their way even here to canada! Might pick up a box just cause these are so unique!
Yoooo saw your other video brining these guys up. I’ve officially decided to become addicted, new to aos and this looks like an amazing cheaper alternative for tabletop games.
Nice results. I am a fan of Wargames Atlantic. They have a lot of cool kits that are very affordable compared to GW. It is worth mentioning that many of their kits do not include bases. That said, bases are not hard to source.
I learned about Quar a week ago and I love it. But I can’t decide which faction to do first. I’m not the most experienced painter so I just want to know which one you prefer or if one seems easier to you.
@@MishMashPainting thanks bro I think coftyr boys look fun I’ve always liked the early French ww1 fatigue on them. But I’ll probably just do both factions anyways :/
Idk if anyone else has these at the moment but if you do I could use some clarification on how to build them. Theirs numbers and letters and I’m assuming that it goes 1A,1B,1C etc with the next unit starting with a 2A. If that correct then Im good.
I get almost all of mine from my local game store but here are some links for all the brands I use c: (amazon carries practically all of these brands) armypainter.com monumenthobbies.com www.duncanrhodes.com/ttc-paints/

I hate that I understand the reference
If only ww1 ended like that
hejr
PEe-esh t'hooooo
Coftyrans: “How about I knock your block off and take 50 yards of ground from you”
i can't believe that someone made a wargame using my favorite character silhouettes in the entire world, i love worm-faced fellows
Seriously. Featureless pointy fellas is peak design
The slouch sells them.
They remind me of some specific arts of Lemmings, or the the SNES cover of Ogre Battle, I really love that cartoony look
This minis have very smart faces.
They’re little charming people
They seem polite
The Quar are where it's at. I'm suffering from grimdark fatigue. The Quar are a welcome tonic.
its funny because in a way, a ww1 more realistic setting makes it even more depressing
Love the look of these guys, I’m obsessed with sculpting these days now I really want to make a Coftyr squad with long cartoonish gas masks.
Yes, send some to me pls
these little dudes look so bizarre in a sort of cool way

yadrill strawberry what do we do?
"You look like you're going to tell me not to come to school tomorrow..."
It’s like a whole host of Muppet extras are trying to put together a war movie.
Critics gave it a B+.
Fraggles. That's what they remind me of
I fucking loved fragglerock so no wonder I'm drawn to these little guys
Quar feels like a 90's lego theme
oddly accurate description
They look really fun and refreshing to paint!

THE DUDES
You know these guys could be a substitute for a 40k xenos race if you future up their tech a bit. Have that very British war game look to them
Love the paint guide! Will be picking up Quar and working on my crusaders soon.
Need to resist using these guys to make a Guard army...
"abhumans" or approved Xenos
Or just quar as is
Honestly the ww1 tanks the quar use might be a fun alternative to the ww2 tanks cadians got
I think I may have to purchase a box after these videos
Just picked up the starter box after watching your last video, very exciting to get started on these guys! Love their silly faces and dumpy torsos haha
Spoons ate all the spoons.
Carrot is Orange.
The lime green, chartruse Quar, thats looks like a cowlek pattern from spyro!! nice work!

FWIW the sock guards are sometimes called “puttees” or “spats” in WW1
There's a Quar rulebook called "Spats and Pedrails" 😊
I liked the heck out of both of these videos today. Definitely going to buy a box of fun when I can.
Have been watching all your videos after seeing your Quar video before this one. Absolutely love this!
This video is fantastic! Can't wait to see what else you do with Quar. It's so cool to see this game getting recognition.
Its long overdue, I plan on doing plenty more quar videos >:)
awesome glad you did this one also with the introduction to Quar. you should make some look like Limmies for funnies
just bought my 2 player starter set lol. Thanks for putting me on
Simple but elegant, love it
Great video, definitely applying some of your techniques to my other models and I'd love to give Quar a go as well ^^
These psydo ww1 minis seems like a great place for streaking grime
I love quar's look the vehicles especially!
Yoooo saw your other video brining these guys up. I’ve officially decided to become addicted, new to aos and this looks like an amazing cheaper alternative for tabletop games.
Thats it, youve convinced me. time to make a RimWorld Quar mod
YES
Tau empire proxies just dropped!
Tolerable tau
Big fan of these guys just looks wise

Why are these so cute

Hell yeah >:)

IDK how to explain this but, these look like a British kids show character by way of Turnip28 and...I love that
Look! At those snoots

I like painting the coftyr boys more, but I definitely think the crusaders are easier. Don't be afraid of the challenge if you wanna paint coftyr c:

More Quar!!! Yes!!
These lil' guys remind of Mad Magazine's Spy vs Spy dudes.
sock guards is actually called gaiters ☝🤓
Who up painting they worm
Oh and "sock guards" are gaiters.
Positive comment
I might have to get this game
I’ve never played any war games like warhammer but I’ve always wanted too, is this a good war game to get started with?
Frkm what ive seen the price is arround a follar or two a guy here, thats a good price, warhammer is often 5 dollars a guy or even more
can you make a Quar gameplay tutorial next?
man this is army ants cool

Mfs lookin like citizens of wormtopia
Love to see some kitbashes for these goobers. If it's 40 bucks for a 48 mini package, might just try doing some brainstorming myself
40 bucks for 24
@@MishMashPainting Yeah I checked. Idk how I doubled that in my head.
I wonder if there is a green and retired quar
Where does one get all of these paints?
I get almost all of mine from my local game store but here are some links for all the brands I use c: (amazon carries practically all of these brands)

What are you using to hold the minis while painting
❤❤❤
MORE QUAR VIDEOS
[|87 that's probably a good setting to retreat if game workshop
Is skeleton bone like palli bone? I only have an image
zach hadel ahh faces
How tall are they?
Well these minis are 25mm but there's a 15mm range as well. If you're asking about it in-universe, then around 5 feet on average
When is the Warhammer Quar video lol
Are there other factions?
Yes! Plastic releases are coming soon but the metals have all the factions c:
It's way cool. But
I'm gonna pass on an $80 intro price for the game.
QUAR
yipeeeeee quar
these lil guys look so cool dudes :3
