Stacked like bowsers has 4 levels in between the other team and is on the final level. "It's still anybody's game"
It was the other way around. Stacked like Bowsers were the ones way ahead. But point taken.
This HAS to be the MOST entertaining run I've ever seen!!

It's not even close. I think the other format AGDQ switched to is better, where for each map the team who beat it scores a point THEN both teams switch to the new level. Right screen is clearly going to win this match up the way things are, as left screen finds itself getting further and further and further behind.
Yeah it stops becoming a race by the time right is 2 checkpoints ahead of left
I've watched tons of gdq videos and this crowd was quite possibly the best I've seen. love the enthusiasm and the "LET'S GO TRI-HEX!" chant made my day!
Dram is a beast. his first tries were ridiculous, and he got more than half of the checkpoints by himself.
0:05 anyone notice the Matt Makes Games donation? Same guys that made Celeste. years before they were even on the couch? Pretty cool.
It's funny how I seem to feel that the left team isn't that good since they're playing slower yet I probably couldn't beat one of those levels if I spent 10 years on it.
They're actually not THAT good here. The teams were fairly imbalanced.
Dram's team is going to win, period.
Nah, they were pretty bad. There were a lot of times where they were just screwing up the most basic mechanics.

This is the most entertaing AGDQ run I have EVER seen. Most are just the player playing and doing great, and I love that. But here, we have the nice competition, the hype and cheers from the room and also from everyone else. It's just pure entertainment.

the "Bully the bullets" levels were different for each team. even if just slightly. i only noticed it with the very ending bit of it.

+CMM1215 yeah, timers were different. It makes little difference though because it just means that people would have one go to try to get the top of the flagpole, which really doesn't matter...

It's a Super Metroid Speed Run thing, by the end of the game you can go back and save some critters or let them die.

With that kind of donation, couldn't GDQ buy 2 cameras, one for each team. How can they concentrate if they are both playing Mario Maker and Trip to Jerusalem (Musical Chairs). LOL! Seriously hope this would be given some thought!

I feel like this event would be much better if they ditched the constant controller passing and just let one person really drill into each level.
It would also minimize the dramatic impact one really good player can have and make the run closer.
