This is Mario Maker 2's hardest level. This is a speedrun, but it took a very long time to beat. I explain how to beat the level as well as show my live reaction to completing it. It was really satisfying to clear this and I look forward to more super super expert levels in the future.
i'll be honest, the only thing i can see clearly in this whole video is the taco truck.

I love how he explains these insane levels so well that (almost) anyone can understand it. It’s really helpful. Especially the taco truck jump for an accurate visual representation. Very well done!

The difference is there's more mechanics, skill and movement options involved

Mario’s beaten bowser 217 times already.
I couldn’t even focus my eyes on Mario, I don’t know HOW you did this
37 hours that's 133 200 seconds and since every run takes around 100 seconds thats's around 1300 attempts at this level. However not every attempt would've taken up to one minute so let's say that 50% of the attempts took up to half a minute then we would look at around 2 000 attempts. Quite insane dedication.

and the average time is more around 10-30% than 50% in such levels because even when he is training the end he can easily die on the beginning, even after 25 hours training.

When I first got Mario maker 2, I decided that all my easy levels would have “hard” in the title or description and all my hard levels would have “easy”

it's a lot more like mastering a complicated song. these hard levels fall into a pattern of playing guitar hero when it comes to input. i'm not saying that makes it easy to do, just that it's relatively simplistic in nature.

adonisx82 Im pretty sure it looks way more overwhelming than it is, because how flashy it gets. The speed isn’t that fast compared to what some OSU! Players can do. If you ‘just’ remember what Mario needs to do, you can probably make it possible in this life.
@@Definitely_Melnyx its not comparable to osu imho. The difficulty here lies not only in speed but timing of the inputs (with no beat to help you). I agree with you though, this probably looks way harder than it actually is. Still an ultra tight lvl.

The thing with the level is with most speed runs, everything just falls into place and they are straightforward moves, but with this nothing is working on your side and it's a constant full attention level where you have to constantly adjust your position, that's why it's so much more difficult because theres just so much going on that might be subtle but still matters

I wouldn't consider it worth it to rewire your brain like that, and just to do this sort of thing with it, but this IS really interesting to stop and look at, when all is said and done...
I think you really have to be passionate about gaming. I play Mario Maker 2 as well but I'm not really interested in being really good at it. Also, since LilKirbs has a TH-cam channel, he likely has a financial incentive to beat more and more hard levels.
Not every level is made to be fun, some creators just make these sadistic levels to see how hard they could make a level.

I think what makes this level push the boundaries of difficulty is that, in the middle of the precise jumps ad movement, there are so many decorations and distractions that aren't part of the game play that your brain gets overwhelmed and doesn't know where to look.
How busy the background is, is something that makes it a millions times harder.
Theres actually less decorations than most kaiso levels
Imagine the guy thinking about how amazing his level was and nobody beating it, then seeing the first clear sign and it saying 1min complete
except that this level was designed to be finished that quickly or die in the process
