How to install a Boost Gauge to Toyota Hilux DIY | Defi A1

- In this video you are able to see how to install a boost gauge to a toyota hilux step by step in full detail. The process is similar in most turbo vehicles. Just have to locate the vacuum line that connects directly to the intake manifold and bypass it to the gauge sensor. Watch the video for the full step by step installation for you to install your boost gauge properly to your vehicle. In addition you will be able to see how to remove the gauge cluster in a Hilux N70 and also how to remove the A/C controls to feed the power line.
Also something the viewers should keep in mind is that I am not a trained mechanic. I just like making videos about DIY vehicle mods however, every thing i do may not 100% on your vehicle due to the different types of vehicles, or this might effect your warranty. I bought the same gauge, I am still confused with your connections because you did not show which wire from the box is connected to which another wire from the box.

Yes you just have to locate the boost line connected to the intake manifold. The rest is the same process

How did u get the pillar out
There are 2 screws on the grab handle (covered with 2 square clips). Remove those two clips and unscrew the 2 screws.
Then you can remove the grab handle and gently pull the pillar out. The pillar is held by a few plastic clips.
why did it whistle so loud in the end and did u replace the turbo ?

Hey how did you get power to the meeter ? Ignition or from the other place?
I bypassed the power line from the radio so that the gauge will power up when the key is turned.
