You added a hose clamp onto the new boost gauge hose on the tee fitting after you cut the boost vacuum hose from the car. Shouldn't you have added 2 additional hose clamps to the original vacuum hose that was connected to the tee as well?
No. It will never build pressure so it won't blow off and the fitting is built for a specific size hose to slide on but ribbed so the hose has trouble coming off.
If you are installing multiple glowshift gauges (x3) can you consolidate all the yellows with the yellows, the reds with the reds, orange with orange and have them connected to one expandable circuit fuse per color? So basically all the yellows would be connected together and then inserted into 1 constant power? And so on and so forth with the other colors?
Why do you have to tap into a 12 V constant and a 12 V Ignition source for a mechanical gauge that makes no sense to me. just dawned on me. the constant power is needed for the selected color scheme.
I want to use this on a Gen 6 Camaro with the 2.0. Guys usually use a throttle body spacer and run a barb off the throttle body spacer to a hose to the gauge. Will that method work as well with this gauge?
Why cutting the oem line? You can just remove it from the bpv add the tee, using the supply line in the kit and cut a little part that you connect to the tee in the bov, so you dont have to cut the oem line.
Im thinking of buying the 3 pod pillar mount for my 06 Subaru Impreza WRX STI.. Want a boost, volt, fuel pressure setup. Question is can I use the same constant hot, headlight, etc connection for all gauges?

Yes, you can connect up to 4 gauges to one fuse.just make sure you separate out the colors of the wires. All reds together, all yellows together, all oranges, together, all blacks together.
U have to connect it to something that only turns on when you turn the key and turns off when you take the key out like your head unit cigarette lighter
Is there any way to calibrate the unit? Mine reads 22 inches of vacuum at idle, it’s a well known fact that 20” is normal for a stock engine without much overlap or lift, so is this adjustable? I believe it’s losing the two pounds of boost I am missing on the top end of boost, since it’s basically a bourdon tube that can send electrical signals to the gauge, and if it’s wrong at idle, it’s wrong in boost as well.
Would have been nice for eventual replacement of the unit with a new one, if you had used a small mini usb connector at the back of the gauge, so that once you’ve wired it and plumbed the vacuum, when it comes time to replace it, you’d only have to unplug the connector and vacuum line to replace the instrument, instead of having to get back under the dash to rewire it.
I have a feeling that I just bought an inaccurate entry level gauge that will not give me accurate results. It’s pretty, but if it can’t be calibrated, it’s junk as far as I’m concerned.
No, you can wire multiple gauges into each expandable circuit. So put all the red gauge wires together into one circuit. All the yellow gauge wires together into another circuit. And all the orange gauge wires together into a third circuit.
So I did everything exactly as shown in the video except I had to spice wires to extend them to the fuse box as I am mounting the gauge in the vent next to the hazard lights button and there is no power to the gauge. Where should I start?
