God I love this series so much. I know I say this every video since I found your channel, but it's so fun and refreshing seeing a quick, fun, tactical, and honestly quite thoughtful campaign played by all players. the Chupacabra's player retreating her forces was honestly the best possible move long term and I think she made a very wise decision overall. I can't wait for the next battle!
18:35 Yeaaaah, in the first ever Alpha Strike game I played, just today actually, I put a shadow hawk up on top of a building. Got hit by the entire opposing lance. Lessoned learned, don't do that xo
Another great video, the strategic maneuvering is important and the fact they tied up that many mechs with essentially a tease of an engagement for sure can matter. Already excited for the next battle and love the fact that unlike the standard rush forward and brain the enemy team over the head with an arm the battles are more long term thinking. Can’t wait to see the clan binary in action.
Still binging this playlist, loving how swingy the battles can be. I expected a bloody slugfest, but I appreciate both sides keeping their losses in mind.
Thank you for another great battle report. Things certainly escalated quickly. The smart play for the chupacabra's player in withdrawing was good to see.
I know right! I am actually priming a few mechs to be painted later today. I am also super excited that the Mercenary Kickstarter by Catalyst Games will be shipping in the next few months... so they say... fingers crossed!
Great Batrep, really liking this series. The only thing i don't like is the proportional movement. The Korbyn player strategically planned to outnumber their opponent but lost part of that advantage in the battle by having to move a bulk of his forces first. For tournament or pick up games proportional movement sounds good, maybe not for campaigns.
They do too! But all promotions are done in between phases of the war. This way, players are focused on combat each turn. But, they sure did contribute a lot to the battles for South Azure!
We get most of our terrain from Etsy. Search for 6mm or epic scale terrain. You'll find lots of vendors who have print and ship the terrain. The village houses are STLs that I purchased and had printed at a local library. The STLs are from MyMiniFactory.com.

12:26 Noooo! Not the luxury apartments. Where am I supposed to drink my favorite champagne now
Aww, I liked that place, it had the best cocai-- err, uhh, candy! Yeah, great candy!
This is why you never trust when reinforcements will arrive because they would almost always never arrive on time
Best battle reports I've seen keep them coming

Loving the reports and overall campaign. As someone just starting out, thank you for explaining the rules so clearly and succinctly as you go.
I love the maneuvering and deception, it’s always a treat.

As serval have said, I can't get enough of this series. As for your mech problem, just buy more mechs! ; )
I know right! I am actually priming a few mechs to be painted later today. I am also super excited that the Mercenary Kickstarter by Catalyst Games will be shipping in the next few months... so they say... fingers crossed!
Another great bat rep. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Maybe so. We tweak rules all the time to fit our playstyle, this is one we might look at as well.
Maybe. I think you still want each battle to be as “balanced” as possible to keep it fun and proportional movement is a balance mechanism.
Great battle report! I really like your terrain. If you can easily recall, what manufacturers do you use? Thanks!
6mm-10mm terrain (or epic terrain). Mainly off of Etsy :)
I wish those tankers from last episode got promoted! 😂

Where's the fast forward button till the next battle? Thumbs up!
I really like your terrain. Are they things you can buy or are they printed?

The one group really had no choice but to skeedaddle. Just too many ways to get outflanked and caught in a crossfire.
Better to "live and fight another day"!
