Just a suggestion… When you make a reference about fuel economy don’t use a dollar amount… Use a number gallons of gas/per distance traveled because gas prices can vary so much and also the octane grade used also dictates price…
You got a real good point 👍🏼 I was so interested into testing it for myself and fuel grade is what Lincoln recommends for all there cars so I doubt people fuel up different octane grade but who knows, appreciate your suggestion boss 👍🏼
Lincoln got back in the game and hit a home run for the masses with this. I think this revamped version is sleek and best interpretation of the BMW “Bangle Butt” trunk lid. Lincoln seems to be a strong competitor of Cadillac again thanks to the MKZ. This time around Lincoln is attracting younger buyers and building momentum representing what a luxury car should be.
It's just sad that Lincoln decided to stop production of the MKZ from 2021 onwards. I love mine, and lucky to have bought the Hybrid version. Great for a daily commuter in Los Angeles traffic.
So sorry they’re not gonna make it anymore, I have had three of those beautiful cars now I have a black label continental and I love it. Lincoln says they are going to stop making cars all together I hope not I think that is a bad move ! The company needs to just improve on the current models that they have to make them better and people will buy them.
i sat in a 2018 yesterday....and then i bought it. was like sitting in heaven... got certified preowned and a 7 year, 125k mile full warranty maintenance package. always go certified pre-owned if you want a maintenance package like a brand new vehicle
I’m glad I watched this because I was considering getting a used one of these hybrid version to do ride share but because of what you said about the lack of legroom and headroom in the back, I think I’ll now reconsider
Jk Bobby: the Lincolns are STILL great vehicles now that FORD scratches cars out of the inventory listings you gotta do with SUVs (FORD forces you to).
How is your new to you LincolnMKZ? I have a 2017 Hybrid, and it's such an incredible car. I actually bought my Lincoln to drive Uber Black, LYFT LUX, and made some great money as a side hustle with it.
I have a 2018 Hybrid and both the rear doors have top padding that constantly squeaks and creaks at even the slightest movement or road imperfection and it's driving me insane. My '01 Oldsmobile Aurora had less squeaks and rattles... I bought my MKZ last December with 26,000 miles and it already sounded like that but it couldn't have when it was brand new. Do they develop this noise when they get older? Seems to be louder when it's hot out and there's also a rattle somewhere in the left rear door. Anyone else have this issue with the top of the door panels creaking nad squeaking?
I have the same wheels and I did tire insurance, Living in NY they paid already over 3k towards my tires and it's not even 2 years since I leased out my Car
Wise man 🙏🏼 I wish I purchased it when I was signing docs. I have it on my Porsche but wasn’t thinking straight when I was purchasing lincoln. I thought this video may help some people in there future purchase 👍🏼
Just a heads up for anyone buying this car used...not sure how it was in the past, but right now you can get the 3.0t version for roughly the same price as the other options. I just picked one up last month. Was originally 60k, and with 38,000 miles I got it for 28k. Unbelievable considering the inflated prices right now. 2.0t same year, miles, options, etc...was basically the same price. With this in mind the 3.0t is basically no brainer in my opinion.
Beautiful wife u have there my man. Blessings. Great review. I own a 2013 MKZ 3.7 V6. I have only 55k original miles. Car has been trouble free n runs great still.
Did I notice you used Regular Unleaded?Thought the MKZ used Premium Only...Regardless,the Car would give you the exact MPG NOT how much you used like $20.00 as this isnt how its formulated.Anyway, you wont have a problem with the Wheel Weld caused by the Pothole but if you think $900 is High for a New Rim,you mentioned you drive a Porsche I Icant imagine the cost on one of theres or the Mercedes you mentioned.Noticed alot of "road noise" coming from the Cabin,am i correct?I ask because Im planning on buying a MKZ or Continental for 2020 (I dont Lease,my 2008 Mercury Sable Premier is going on 12 Years Old and looks and runs New)Hope you Won at the Venetian Hotel,Drive Safe with the Precious Cargo,Peace!
Owning the car was overall a great experience. Smooth and quiet ride. The noise in the cabin isn’t bad I think my camera mic and the road is what made it seem so loud. You are correct if I damage the wheel on the Porsche that will definitely hurt 😔 Goodluck on the new car buy 🙏🏼
Tire and wheel protection is a package that is additional money that they offer you when you are purchasing the vehicle so it won’t be included in bumper to bumper.
Both good vehicles, the Xts between 2013-2017 will have issues with the “Cadillac Cue” system… (Touch screen). Worse experience ever! I bought a 16 two years ago & the screen started malfunctioning within 3mos. Besides that a great car. Just bought the MKZ 2wks ago & so far so good. Really enjoying it…
I could only watch about 5 minutes of this video because your wife is so gorgeous. I could not concentrate on what your are saying because I was so distracted looking at your wife's beauty.
I have a 2017 AWD 3.0 v6 twin turbo and I’ll keep it till the wheels fall off! It has panoramic roof, climate package, drivers package and tech package. I love my car and it’s paid off baby! Lol
@John Sabp now they're almost the same price as the other engine options. I just got the 2017 3.0TT AWD Reserve with the Tech Package, Weather Package, Revel Audio, Panoramic Roof, Multi Countour Seats, Two Tone interior with Carbon Fiber inlays in the dash, doors, and steering wheel with the 19" multispoke wheels for only $23,000 with just over 50,000 miles. The window sticker on this car was $64,000. I don't think there is a single option this car doesn't have. (You can't get the rear sun shade if you have the Panoramic Roof). To be honest, though, while the power is fun, I recently drove the 2.0T AWD and I must say that 90% of the time that 270ft/lb is plenty of torque for getting up to speed and overtaking. Also, I almost never use the extra bolstering in the multicontour seats, as when the air bladders in the seats are inflated it makes what was a very soft seat become much harder than you'd think and the massage function is somewhat underwhelming. The #1 best value package is the Technology Package BY FAR, as it adds adaptive headlights with auto high beams, adaptive cruise, self parking and most importantly, potentially life saving pre-collision sensors with self-braking. So if you're in the market, the best bang for your buck would be to find a Reserve Hybrid with just the Tech Package (unless you need AWD, then get the 2.0T).
@@jjf1630 I have almost the exact same car, I forget if it has the driver's package. If that's the one that allows you to adjust the handling in the menu then my car has that. I also have the 19 speaker package too, which is crazy good audio, but it actually reduces trunk space and makes the pass through smaller when the seats are folded down because it has 2 larger subwoofers behind the back seats instead of just the one smaller one in the 10 speaker system. While the tech package is the most useful, the best party piece is definitely the giant panoramic roof.
Dude you don't know how to sit in a car if you're 5'9 and a freaking TODDLER can't fit behind you. I'm 5'11 and people who are 6'1-6'2 fit behind me just fine in my 2017 mkz
@@artysgarage well if you're reviewing a car then you may want to add that caviat. In addition, pointing out the fact that your child's feet hang in the air instead of touch the ground, which would not happen with a fully grown human. This leads to a preceived reduction in legroom because a foot, even a small one, is much longer than a lower leg is wide. I've seen other reviews of people who are over 6 feet tall sitting in the driver's seat comfortably then without adjusting the seat they sit behind the driver's seat with no issue in this car. I will agree that the head room may be an issue if you're over 6'1-6'2, unless that person is built with the same "unique" proportions you apparently have.
I’m sharing my thoughts on how we as a family liked the car including having my father go out with us and sitting in the back and he is 6’0. Head room is tight and my unique self 😂 is forced to move the seat forward for the person directly behind me to be comfortable. It’s a great car and I miss how it drives but just sharing my experience and my thoughts.

Yes it’s definitely a great looking car and a pleasure to drive!
Exactly 💯💯
It's discontinued ???

Lincoln was always a great car.
Yes sir
I'm a Ford/Lincoln guy, but let's be honest and not allow our personal feelings to dictate our opinions. Lincolns are not reliable what's so ever!
Jk Bobby: the Lincolns are STILL great vehicles now that FORD scratches cars out of the inventory listings you gotta do with SUVs (FORD forces you to).
OMG these things depreciate so fast. Get one used for cheapp
Yes I made a follow up video on buying the car and what happens to value 👌🏽👍🏽
Or lease
I know!! I just bought a 2016 mkz 3.7 with just under 7k miles for $20k and a couple months later I saw a 2017 with the 3.0t for $5k more!! Crazy.
Yea im not understanding the depreciation of this vehicle they are very cheap in comparison to honda toyota products especially.
Thanks for the video!! Buying a 2017 today so I needed this.
