    I bought a 2016 model, love it. People have tunnel vision when it comes to seeing Lincoln as a Ford. What about Lexus as a Toyota, Infiniti as a Nissan, Audi as a VW and on and on...

      Richard Maldonado drove the 3.7 mkz and fell in the love. The seats are super comfy and the steering wheel feels great in your hands. Tons of power.

      Because Ford and Lincoln have always been one of the laziest rebadges for extra profit in the industry. The examples you list vastly improve on their base cars. Everyone else sees Lincoln for what it is, a tarted up Ford for too much money. They've really turned Lincoln into Mercury since they have not kept up with true luxury brands, so they're a luxury lite brand. Lexus has far more reliability and comfort which attracts buyers, Infiniti makes more aggressively styled and sporty sorts of cars, and Audi makes understated/subdued styling luxury cars that feel very business class but run the range from standard luxury like an A3/A4 to high performance with premium luxury features like the RS7.
      Lincoln offers none of that. It's the same motors and tech used in Ford for more money with different visuals. Gee, I wonder why anyone would ever not want a Lincoln? If you have no taste, don't get mad that everyone else does and doesn't share your thoughts on what a good car is.

      Worst is VW. They make you pay more for their audi badged product whilst at that offers less reliability and higher running cost. Dont get why someone would ever buy one of those heaps.

    I bought the 2015 MKZ in December 2014. I have no regrets, and the car is fantastic!! I opted for the 3.7 V6 and it has plenty of power to spare!!!
    I knew nothing about the Ford Fusion and the MKZ coming off the same platform. I had to do a comparison essay for my English Composition class, and I chose to compare the MKZ and the Cadillac ATS. The MKZ offered more leg room, head room, storage, larger engine, more power, more features, and a lower price. Afterwards, I decided to buy the MKZ, and I'm glad I did!!!
    No issues with anything, including the push-button transmission. I have never been a huge Ford fan, but this car really is worth the money and deserves good reviews. I'm just glad that there are very few of them in this area. Sort of makes them unique....

    • @jduke989
      @jduke989 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would have failed you for poor information cause the ats comes with a larger more powerful engine that makes 335 hp and caddy's 2.0 engine is more powerful as well than lincolns. it's no surprise you get more leg room in the lincoln because the ats isn't a mid sized car like the MKZ. I think a fairer comparison would be the CTS which in my opinion is the better car...

    I don't have any regrets with mine . I love the 4cyl it's a impressive power house . I like being able to pick sport mode driving mine being awd i push through any storm very safe car it's nice to know that when you hit the gas the car is going to respond. That it will I have never had a issue getting past anyone . Also I have to say that Lane assist is great when you do Interstate driving like me. It keeps the car in your lane and it slows down if a car comes up in front of you . if you want to change lanes however always use your blinker. If not the steering wheel will tell you you're about to leave your lane and if you're not used to it it can startle you. Good car

    Supremely underrated car design. Contemporary and imposing without appearing brash or vulgar. To me, it has aged incredibly well over the past 9 years. It's just a shame it took Lincoln took so long, as crossovers have now well and truly taken over.

  • @Fussinated
    @Fussinated 11 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Actually the problem is not with the grille but the integration of the head lamps with the grille. Actually, the best part of the front end design is the grille with this car it looks like an eagle with open wings. The head lamps though They should be bigger and little bit more angular so that it should match the open wing bird design and the rear lamps.

    • @stephenlleeds
      @stephenlleeds 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Freeda Birda Most American car manufacturers are garbage, but Cadillac is not. Compared to other Euro, Cadillac can hold its own. Plus, our trucks are unmatched anywhere in the world. Im American, but I'm a Nissan guy. There is not a chance I would ever buy a Dodge, Ford, or Chevy (especially Chevy) car, but I would a Ford truck in a heart beat.

    • @mattmattmatt131313
      @mattmattmatt131313 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      stephenlleeds The reason why american made trucks are so successful in the usa is because they exits in an artificially created environment favoring home automakers(Ford,Chevy and Dodge)and keeping imports uncompetitive. If your trucks were as you put it "unmatched anywhere in the world" dont you think your Ford trucks would be found all over Africa, China,... and the rest of the world? Instead what you see there are predominantly Toyota and Nissan pickups and offroaders. As far as i know most us truck models aren't even offered in other countries. Afraid of being uncompetitive maybe??

    • @ThePaperSun
      @ThePaperSun 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    I own this car and can say without any equivocation, this is one nice car. Plenty of power and an equally nice comfy ride. The reviewers for this car are all a bunch of snobs. If the car doesn't offer Maybach luxury with Ferrari performance, they just have to scoff at it. The fuck are these morons expecting, the fucking car cost $30-$40,000. An automaker can only do so much and I have to say that this particular automaker did quite a bit. You definitely get your money's worth buying a 2013 Lincoln MKZ. Now these are even more affordable than ever. Picked mine up for under $24,000, and opted for the 3.7 liter 6 cylinder. Think it gets something like 260+ hp. More than enough power.

    That's a slow 60 time if it's the 300 HP version. My '03 Honda Accord hit 60 in 5.9 seconds one time. Normally it gets to 60 in 6-6.5 seconds. I could buy about 4 Accords for the price of the Lincoln. I love the way it looks inside, and the outside looks alright. I just think they should have given it about 400 bhp so the power can overcome the weight. That's probably why it took 7.7 seconds to 60. I've also read that it gets to 60 in 5.8, which is faster than my car, but with 300 bhp it should be more like 5.0 seconds.

    I don't doubt the numbers that he says, but for some reason I don't think this car is up to the task! It just SEEMS like you'd get a better car from Lexus, Infiniti or even Buick! And to make matters worse, at no angle is this a good looking car! Why is it that you can see a Benz or Bmw's face back for 30 or 40 years and see the relationship by the grille, yet this Lincoln has the split wing when older lincoln's had the Rolls Royce type grille?! Going against it's competition, I can see this car coming in last or next to last in practically every category! Hell, at least Cadillac had the sense to go with the Vette engine, why can't Lincoln go with the Mustang engine? Maybe just as GM let Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Saturn go, Ford should let Lincoln go to it's final resting place along with Mercury.

      I love this car. My father just bought a fully loaded 2016 MKZ 3.7 after he retired a couple of months ago, and we absolutely love every single detail of this amazing machine. I love the futuristic looks of the car. That's what initially got my father interested in it. Then he took 2015 MKZ 3.7 out on a test drive, and then ordered a '16 model right after. We can't think of one single thing we don't like about this car. He was coming from a 2014 Mercedes E350 4matic Sport that he had a two year lease on, and he likes the Lincoln better! So do I actually. Nice job Lincoln!

      +justinbig10 I also bought a 2016 MKZ 2.4 Ecoboost as the payment for the v6 was a tad bit out of budget but I got mine fiarly loaded and got the Reserve Pkg. Love it and I'm 34!

    If this car is so luxury why do we keep comparing it to ford lol smh. Knock the price down and I'll consider an mkz because then it would be worth it. Til then I'd rather grab the Audi A6

    There's not much difference between a high-end Ford and a Lincoln. Ford is literally trying to make Lincoln go out of business. They just can't put out a good product that justifies people spending all that extra cash to get a Lincoln when a nice Ford will do.

And as you say...american motor quality and lifetime....my friend who is a limo driver drives the new Continental and this car has already 70 thousand miles on it. There are no problems with this car. He loves it. You wanna know how good a car is, ask a limo driver about his car.

      It’s just a seal that slips back into place... likely that when the car was cleaned prior to them receiving it, the towel caught the seal when drying the door jambs.
