EDIT: after installing my supercharger.. *VCM Scanner does not work with RTD unit.* RTD has its own type of tune file as well. Only works with RTD program that is a separate program from VCM editor & VCM scanner. I couldn’t find a video about the RTD unit so I made one. Hopefully this quick descriptions helps some of you out. Subscribe for more car content! 🏁
Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for... I have been wondering why PBD had the RTD but the HP Turners website only had the MPVI2+ and I couldn't find anything to explain the differences. Sounds like I should just buy the MPVI2+ and have any remote tunes emailed to me so I can load them onto the device like the SCT one I have for my 2013 Mustang.
So you can’t actually tune the car with it. Can you do remote tunes with the RTD? If somebody sends me a file for my car will this tuner write to the car?
Hey man I’m having an issue with the file not syncing to the tdn network. I have tired Wi-Fi, 5g, signing in and out of my account and nothing. The error pops up with : TDN Server Sync: Incomplete RTD+ Sync: Success
Lund is the best mustang tuner out there in my opinion. I've had bama, vmp and Lund. I hear good things about palm beach dyno too, but I can't speak with experience on them.
i have a rtd currently with lund racing and in thinking about switching to palm beach dyno what do i need to do to make that happen do i have to get in contact with lund? or that isn’t necessary
I think you just have to flash your car back to a stock tune. But honestly I don’t think you have to contact Lund at all just tell dyno you’ve been tuned by Lund and they’ll approach however they need to
Not sure how to address this I stay in Tucson Arizona and I just bought the HP tuners package and I’m having a lot of trouble is there anyone in Tucson Arizona that can help me out with this I will gladly compensate you for your time
😒Tdn requires rtd. Which supposedly is built into some versions of the mpvi2 according to what i saw. But the app doesnt seem to accept the mpvi2 as an rtd. (I have the version right before they discontinued it) 🤔 so it should work. I want to use it as a code reader as well as tuner. 😒
Can i use it on my stock 2019 Camaro ss? I have a cold air intake from GM and borla s type axleback. Love the video and keep up the good work. Im new to Camaros and 2 mouths to your page
Preciate the support 💪 the RTD unit would work on your car but wouldn’t be worth it purchase on your car. Imo an RTD unit is only useful if you buy a modification and the manufacturer sends an RTD unit and tune for your specific mod. If that’s not the situation, I would get an MPVI2 because you’ll have access to vcm editor where you can create or modify your tune.
If my vehicle was already tuned by a shop with HPtuners can I buy the mpvi2 and edit the tune myself or would I be locked out? I understand I will need credits since it isn’t the device that wrote the original tune.
Thanks bro. My tuner is offering both on his website. RTD being a little cheaper sounds good but are you saying that the RTD has less tuning capabilities on his end or just mine? I don’t have any interest in going into HP Tuners and changing anything but if I can get better results with the mpvi2 I’ll go that way. Sorry I’ve never used a tuner like this.
No worries at all. RTD unit with take away all tuning capabilities on your end. If you never plan to go and edit the tune then go with RTD. RTD won’t limit your tuner at all. IF you think you may become curious in the future and want to adjust something, then get MPVII. If the prices are pretty close, I would recommend the MPVII because it opens things up a lot on your end in terms of what you can see and adjust. Never know if your mind may change about tuning in the future. But if you’re positive you’ll never touch the tune and only your tuner will, the RTD may make more sense for you. Hope this helps
Hey man I have another question, I have the RTD now. Do you need to use credits every time you switch tunes? say I went from 93 tune to stock or vice versa
Didnt you spend extra for the RTD unit when you ordered the Pro Charger. I know when I ordered my Maggie it was an extra few hundred to get the tune as well. Since I was going down pulley size and getting a custom tune as opposed to a "canned" tune I did without. Only catch is I didnt get a CARB sticker. Could you sell the RTD and just get Pro Chargers canned tune from another customer or is that RTD now paired to your FIFTY? Just thinking outside the box. Glad you got HP Tuners now figure it all out so we can tune my car on E85. I ordered everything and they sell it down the road from me. :)
The 50 state legal kit only comes one way with Procharger’s tune. For 17 & 18 models you’re supposed to send off your PCM to Procharger for unlocking and tune. They state you won’t receive a tuner unit, so I was not expecting it. Not too concerned about selling it, my boy was interested in it so I may give it to him. Not sure there is much of a resale market for them either, it’s pretty limited in its capabilities

What’s the difference between the RTD and RTD +
Both very good. But I like where I can edit all format of the car with the v12
bro this is exactly what i was lookin for
Is it possible to see afr on phone while data logging with the RTD+ ?
Why are so many companies obsessed with hp tuners. What happen to sct?
Which one would u prefer side by side the mpvi2+ or the rtd+?
Thank you was curious about the difference cuz saw an rtd unit for cheap with 6 credits and was curious if it's any better than mpvi2 or 3
What car were you gonna tune?
@@isnowyazn all good now don't need it anymore, somehow snagged an mpvi2+ with 6 credits for $120 with taxes and shipping on offerup

Yo I just got a charger gt 2020 what do I do for my performance to unlock its power fully
Dang I hated hitting the like button because it was on 420 . lol 👍🏻

Yes it does

No

Hey bro
Can I have tunes from different tuners on rtd?
Well the tunes are actually stored on your computer or storage device, so yes. They need to be .rtd files to upload them through the RTD device
Can you remove limiter or increase top speed for mustang gt?
I actually came for the details of this device.
Tuned by Lund as well?

Does hptuner has relearn throttle body or maf sensor
Idk about relearn but it allows you to adjust the parameters.
@@ZtZoomin mmm how about tech2 program?
Tech 2 is software that GM uses. HPTuners is its own softwares with its own language. They execute the same tasks more or less
GM is still using tech 2? I worked at a chevy dealership almost 20 years ago and that's what we used.
