buzzing by a GT3RS then a M3GTS in the first minute - like they were standing still! Man that Caparo is extraordinary! It seems they have sorted out the reliability issues as well - be nice to have one tucked up in the garage!
@irrifarra they had lots of trouble with the Caparo in fact. The gas did get stuck and some of them caught fire, because the glue in some spots got too hot.
It is safe to say (not taking away from Caparo) that the Jag driver was the most impressive. This is where driver skills are more important than the car itself. Yeah Caparo is passingleft and right, engine !NOT DRIVER! play that role, you punch the accelerator, thats all
@resellworld But there's no other car featuring in the video so what car were you not sure about. There's one car throughout the whole thing so I really don't know how you could get a reference mistake.
@rama6maiden By the way. Zonda R also holds a Nurburgring track record for non series/non road legal cars of 6:47'5 for the 20.832km circuit. Most road legal cars are tested over 20.6km circuit. That extra 232m is worth about an extra 7secs on average. Still not close to Stephan Bellof's time over same distance of 6:11'13 set in a Porsce 956 racing car in 1983! Fastest road legal car to date is a Radical SR8LM which did 6:48.00 for 20'6km circuit. (Theoretically 6:55 for 20.832km)
@VonCrakenfart please stop thinking what Top Gear said is absolute. 1. The car was released too fast, what Top Gear tested and the car driven by jason plato were practically prototypes. 2. The car has grip even at low speed you just have to have a sensitive foot for the gas so you wont spin the wheels 3. Evo mag even said that it is a surprisingly smooth ride and even relatively easy to drive. 4. The newest models have hydraulic suspension with variable height to go over speedbumps.
@AdrianC12345 yeah I checked it out a couple days ago after I watched this video. I wish it were more reliable....hopefully in the future, Im sure they are working on it Thanks
@DriftworksLtd thanks for the link. Still, there are so many "drifters" on a trackdays creating really dangerous and unpredictable situations. This is not very good.
i took it to the sim with no assists from a rolling start/cold tire. not second lap start, i did an offical roll from 25. with race wheel. i set a 6:38.66 right after doing a 6:41.32 with a konenseg 1:1. richard konin predicted the one to one could run a 6:40.00 i belive it, as for my T1 run it would have been improved slighty to maybe a 6:32~ a few turns here and there could improve for late braking
@rama6maiden True. The Zonda R did it in 1:08'5. That's faster then even the Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 class racing car which did it in 1:08'6. However those two cars are not road legal whereas the T1 is. T1 did the Top Gear track in 1:10'7. Not sure what tyres it had on. An Ultima GTR720 road legal car on road tyres and suspension set-up has done it in 1:12.8, and with track set-up on suspension and slicks in 1:09.9. Not bad for a kit car costing about £50~55K for that power level:-)
@gruhonjic 0-60 in 1.2 seconds! lol thats ridiculous, was it leftlanenews? it looks like they screwed up their kilometers and miles, they even say 100 miles an hour comes in at under 3 seconds which would be correct if it was kilometers(62 mph)
I have seen this car on top gear before. But they said because it can not go over an speed bump they would never make its lap time official. This car is basicly a formula 1 car with a lincense plate.
Unfortunately they never took it round the track. If they did, it would likely still hold the record today, since that Stig Lap still holds in almost 2025.
@DeDeNoM True...but who says there was no break downs during this filming...we only see various clips...probably just good editing over multiple days...LOL
Did you watch it again before removing the comment? The brake lights are kind of a give away that it didn't break away in braking, eh. Infact if he was braking hard the abs wouldn't have let it slide out anyway. When I was talking about grip and big turbo's I had something like a UR Quattro in mind. I don't do rice. Oh and if anyone wants to know what I'm talking about I still have the comment he removed so just ask.
@kartkidchun lol it can say any name in any title or description....if I dont know which car its referring to then I dont know what it is....neither would any other person I typed that comment before researching about it ..........geez, didnt think I would have to explain the obvious
@MsGamerGirl47 That would be around 1000hp/ton or even better. Impressive considering a F1 car has around 1300hp/ton. Such a shame a lot of people are unaware of the power to weight ratio and what that means for acceleration, too many are blind by horsepower alone, even if the thing is 3 tons heavy.
@tbear2500 So you want segragation? Just wondering if you've heard of a thing called Gatebil, drifters (some of the craziest on the planet) and "grip" dirvers get on fine.
I've been waiting for this to happen eversince the Capara T1 was released.
It should be the fastest roadlegal car around the Nordschleife.
The cheeky bugger in the Jag drifting was having a blast.
@Broderick Hagen 2:04
Nah I think he swerved because he thought the caparo was gonna pass him on the right for some reason and lost control
@@davidmanning1474 Still had to style it out because he's got a Jaaaaag!
@@IvoTrausch The body in the boot caused the back to kick out in his jaaaaaaaaaaag
He was actually having to brake when passing supercars so he wouldn't pass them too fast! Awesome!
wow the distance from the "pitlane" to the Bilstein bridge (520m, google maps), the t1 covers it 10s.
Thats like quarter mile in sub 9s.
Incredible!
I like how whatever's loose on the car vibrates at speed and makes it sound like VTEC lmao
buzzing by a GT3RS then a M3GTS in the first minute - like they were standing still! Man that Caparo is extraordinary! It seems they have sorted out the reliability issues as well - be nice to have one tucked up in the garage!
Pretty impressive drift at 2 min. EYES IN THE MIRROR!
Close the track, put Sabine Schmitz in there and we'll see how fast it is :)
RIP Sabine
Are they still making the caparo why dont we hear anything about it anymore
Company went under, CEO killed himself. Another company bought them out and supposedly they plan on making a new T1.
@@isaiahii6982 what ? really ?
@@lastmiles Based on the little digging I did that is supposedly what happened.
@@isaiahii6982 wow. Didn't expect that.
One of the reasons I discovered why this thing is so freakishly fast is cuz its v8 is a de tuned indy car engine!!! It's nuts
Fantastique...!!!
Merci pour nous présenter une vidéo si extraordinaire....
Merci encore.
0:56 wtf? is it VTEC powered?
camera vibrating with the engine vibrations, i'm guessing.
3,5 litres V8, their own
Good driving. love the sound. :)
insane, this car is covering so much ground it literally looks like someone had this video on fast-foward
Was the king of the nurburgring for the day
it would be interesting to see how fast it could get around this track, he was babying it along most of the time
this is so unbelievably quick...
@irrifarra they had lots of trouble with the Caparo in fact. The gas did get stuck and some of them caught fire, because the glue in some spots got too hot.
I don't imagine that gets past too much...
this car fast! but can it drive over a speed bump?
If i could coose between this Car or a Speed Bump, i would always take the Car.
yer its on bags!
Hey look it's Rip Clutchgoneski!
Only fans of cars movies would know who he is
Promises (the 4m 17sec version) by Nero syncs up really well to this video!
I'd like to see those faces when the caparo overtakes them
That car is almost a LMP1. Sick performance!
@maxx4wd it did have a problem, that's why the vid ended. It had a cracked coil pack from what was commented on autoblog and that caused the misfires
The Best corners are cutted out... Whats wrong with you?
+Eden Cerberus they crashed XD
+ADNANE ouarid xD
@funkyskunk2
1.2 seems plausible for 1000hp/ton. However, that was done with slicks most probably. at 2.5, the problem is grip for street tyres.
WOW!!
How many times did it break down each lap??
it is mindblowingly fast!!! one big fat WOW!
It is safe to say (not taking away from Caparo) that the Jag driver was the most impressive. This is where driver skills are more important than the car itself. Yeah Caparo is passingleft and right, engine !NOT DRIVER! play that role, you punch the accelerator, thats all

@SuYpIA Yes I do. A save wouldn't involve drifting through the next corner.
@VonCrakenfart please stop thinking what Top Gear said is absolute.

I'm surprised by how many kind drivers indicated to pull over when the caparo came along!
Mandatory, it reads in the rules
Everyone feels real good about racing on the Nurburgring... Until this thing blasts by at 11,000 RPM.
Serious balls driving this on slicks in these conditions
Glad that this video was posted with the engine making the only music instead of some crap song.
@DriftworksLtd thanks for the link. Still, there are so many "drifters" on a trackdays creating really dangerous and unpredictable situations. This is not very good.
Rip Clutchgoneski In Real Life
how did the caparo t1 make it around nurburg without setting on fire
@gruhonjic ultima gtr with 720 horsepower does 60 in 2.6, caparo t1 does it in 2.5. were did you get twice the time?
how many times did the driver have to stop because the steering wheel came off?
@FastKart27 Why wouldn't you drift a brand new jag if you were on the ring?
That XF sliding was epic!:D
Oh dear lord...how fast does it lap the Nurg.?
@worlddominator15 yea but why would the throttle get stuck if caparo is a high class car?
holy frickin geez,i wanna know real lap times for this thing
I watched the whole thing to see what the time was?
Sounds MEAN AF!!!
@thebossisheretostay
Oh thx.
Now that youtube has processed the video u can actually see it.
5minutes ago it was just 6 blurry pixels.
I think caparo t1 can do 6:30
i took it to the sim with no assists from a rolling start/cold tire. not second lap start, i did an offical roll from 25. with race wheel. i set a 6:38.66 right after doing a 6:41.32 with a konenseg 1:1. richard konin predicted the one to one could run a 6:40.00 i belive it, as for my T1 run it would have been improved slighty to maybe a 6:32~ a few turns here and there could improve for late braking
why would Toyota put a Prius advert on THIS vid?

where does this guy get off?

I'm surprised the throttle didn't get stuck open or that it didn't catch fire...
@Molo9000 I believe it's a Jaguar XF.
@NegativeCambered That was a drift, not a save.
I wonder what it is like driving in the other cars getting passed like they're sitting still.
Nothing special.
@JMEcooper I'm not talking about the T1. And no I wouldn't mention the two together. One's a car, the other ones a go kart.
I have seen this car on top gear before. But they said because it can not go over an speed bump they would never make its lap time official. This car is basicly a formula 1 car with a lincense plate.
What's the time?
If they didn't time it they have problems.
@AlexCluster That's why almost all drifters can control a car better then pretty much every grip driver?
What?!!? they cut the video before the back stretch very dissapointing
2:04 insert Deja Vu music
Nah.
2:04 NO ONE SLEEP IN TOKYO
N-Nani? Kansei Dorifto?!!
@Hotcheese0 this car probably blew up before it could do a full lap.
im sure you've seen it on top gear and fifth gear .
lol @ car going sideways @ 2:05
Can anybody make out what car that is?
this car is Street Legal??
@resellworld Don't you? Even though it says it in both the title and description.
"the guy from cars 2"
not in this video though, the tires are slicks ...
6min30s?
After over take the jag and other , god it looks very quick
why dont you just show the full lap?
Unfortunately they never took it round the track. If they did, it would likely still hold the record today, since that Stig Lap still holds in almost 2025.
@DeDeNoM True...but who says there was no break downs during this filming...we only see various clips...probably just good editing over multiple days...LOL
Wish I had the balls to drive this thing. My heart would be pumping as fast as this thing pumps horsepower...
i wonder if this man was put on suicide watch for taking the ring in this thing.
If only the CEO of Caparo was on suicide watch
Is it faster than a f1 car?
What an insane machine!
To those complaining it's not complete keep in mind this IS a Caparo T1... it probably exploded right after the end of this video.
i love how he cut off the lead jag 2:15 i would be pissed too.
Wonderful mirrors
@NegativeCambered was'nt a save,it was a intentional drift.well done

..........geez, didnt think I would have to explain the obvious
6:38.66 was my simulation run time w/ a race wheel
no assist
On old top gear this thing was 4 seconds faster than pretty much everything else... So, would this be faster than a Mclaren Senna?
Caparo was 6 sec faster than Bugatti Veyron
It would be sick to see the Telemetrie.
Holy shit im buzzin just watching this video. What a machine!
Thumbs up for the drifting Jag XD
